I'm stepping away from the Halloween Challenge. There is no(healthy) way I will make my goal, and I don't want it to be a stressor for me.

FluffyBunny- interesting information about the diet break. Thanks for the link.

Well I'm plodding along now at 174.8 for my LOW. I guess I'll just not eat for two weeks and fast on water to make it to 165.

Sorry to see you go Sirtain, but I completely get what you're saying....

Ladies (and gents) I think it's important for us all to remember that the goals we set are just that....goals. If we fall short of achieving them there's nothing wrong with that. Aim for the stars and reach the clouds...at least we are further along today than we were yesterday. I didn't hit my goal for the last challenge, but now I'm way past that goal and have my eyes locked on my Halloween goal.

These challenges are supposed to inspire and motivate us, not make us feel bad about ourselves. So even if you know you won't make your challenge goal, don't give up. Stay the course and we will all celebrate our victory in the end.

@ Librarygirl I never took what you said as criticism at all, just great feedback. I know you get frustrated with what you consider to be your slow weight loss, but I think it's awesome. No matter how many times you go off plan you don't pile the weight back on, and to me that's more amazing than losing a lot of weight quickly.

My break worked exceptionally well and now, with over a week back on plan, I realize it's very easy for me to take a week long break and jump right back on the horse. So I'm definitely taking another week long break in 10 weeks, between Christmas and New Years Day.

Great attitude, Fluffy! I haven't taken more than a week break since I started JUDDD, and it was only once. I have done 5:2 for two weeks, I think, and I've done 4:3 for most of September...Still, I haven't been as stellar as some of you all, and I guess I'll just be coming in last. However, I will cross the finish line!

Great Post Fluffy!

It's 2 weeks to Halloween - my update is I am in size 10 slacks, so that goal is met. Haven't seen 156 on the scale yet - 156.5 has been my lowest- and 158.5 today, which is a DD. Still have time and want to push to get there - by watching those calories and sticking to them!!

I have tried 4:3 for October and although I am still losing, a bit slower - I'm not sure I like the way I'm "thinking" about food with two UDs in a row. My brain at first doesn't want a second UD, then I get into it and then I want a third! LOL I will finish out October just because I said I would and I want to see the whole month's results before I stop... but I'm thinking November will be back to eod.

I hope everyone is doing well - whether we meet our goal or not... we're ALL winners!

Thank you ladies. A tweak here and there isn't the end of the world. We are all winners and we will all accomplish our end goals. 2 weeks left in the challenge, so let make the most of it.

The next challenge is VERY important since it ushers us into one of the most gluttonous times of the year (and I myself intend to enjoy it! LOL).

One week to go before Halloween! How's everyone doing?

I've finally gotten back down to my previous low of 142, which I haven't been able to do since the middle of August!

So, I doubt very much if I'll be within my goal range of 136 - 138 by next week. Since Mother nature seems to be resisting me every inch of the way at this point in my life. Looking ahead to the remainder of this year - I hope to be at my goal and ready for maintenance, before the holiday season. Which will be challenging enough for me to do.

Best wishes everyone on your continued progress! ~ Ann

Wow, just one week left, huh? I'm pretty happy with where I am. I'm not going to quite make it, but I'm definitely going in the right direction. So I'm counting it as a win.

Dawn, you goofball! How much more "progress" can you make girl? You're a rock star!

Everyone is a winner IMHO... just hanging in there and not giving up. Give yourself a pat on the back!!

My Halloween goals were to be in size 10, which I did mid month - and also to "see" 156 on the scale - I'm at 156.5 today... surely I can see that .5 go in one week! I'm determined! The only thing I haven't done is to exercise regularily, as I thought that was the only way I would get to these goals... JUDDD has a different idea though, as I am losing my midsection well enough without the exercise, although it DEFINITELY needs tightening up!!

Way to go JBs!

Anyone plan on posting a photo of themselves in their Halloween costume?

I'm not yet sure if I'll have one of myself, but my little guinea pig in my profile photo is dressed as a witch & is all ready for tricks or treats.

You're all too kind. I was hoping to whittle away some of this waist, but I haven't worked nearly hard enough to do so. DH tagged me in a FB picture a couple of days ago from the Bully Boo walk, and I could really see how disproportionate my midsection is. I can't complain, though, as I know I haven't put in the work.

I love seeing all of you getting close to or reaching your Halloween goals. It's so inspiring to see!

I'm not dressing up for Halloween. I did, however, pick up some new sexy lingerie for our upcoming date night. There will be NO PICTURES!!

Your guinea pig looks very festive, SlimNana. I have thought about putting up a picute of my Halloween costume, because I've been working really hard on it and want to show off a little!

I stepped away from the Halloween challenge, but I'm still doing well. My pants are getting looser and looser, and I'm going to join the New Year's Eve challenge with renewed vigor.

It is great to hear of all your successes. I LOVE it when someone gets there early, too. What a bunch of over-achievers we are!

I dropped out of the challenge, but I may make it (technically) any way. I take my post-Up Day weights as my 'true' weights, but today is a Down Day and I weight 168. So, it is possible that I will be at my stated goal of 166 tomorrow morning. Completely a fluke, but it would make me smile.

My congratulations to everyone who stuck with it the whole way. I'm ready for the next challenge! Do we get shorter in the holiday season, ie; first Thanksgiving, then Christmas/Solstice/Hannukah/what have you, then New Year's? Or do we barrel right for the Big One(Dec 31).

I love thinking that instead of a new year's weight resolution, I may be perfectly happy with where I am in 2014.

Congratulations to all of you who accomplished the specific goal you set for this challenge!

Congratulations to all of us who worked hard and maybe aimed just a bit too high, but are that much closer to accomplishing the goal than we were when we started!

I didn't make my specific goal. Things are happening a lot slower for me at this stage than I anticipated. I am working on accepting that fact, and pushing on to the ultimate goal. When I look in the mirror, I no longer see a fat girl. I see the shape I want, just a bit bigger than I want. With a couple of bumps and rolls I would like not to be there. And they won't be there, given a little more time.

On to the next challenge! I'm up for whatever the group decides.

Happy Halloween. We all made it! Hope everyone has a fun day.

I squeaked under the wire with my goal, making it to 166 this morning(after a Down Day). I won't be using it as my starting weight for the next challenge, but I am still happy to see it. I was 168 after my last Up Day, which is close enough to make me feel like I am really seeing progress.

In terms of the next challenge, I am most interested in doing a short one first, to Thanksgiving, rather than all the way to New Year's. Any votes, either way?
