Rheumatoid and JUDDD, anything I need to know?
Hi everyone! I did Juddd last winter w good results. But I was working the DDs so it worked really well.
Have tried it 2x since and really binged on UD or end of DD.
That is irrelevant, but is there anything I should know about this and RA, does it help or aggregate a flare?
When I used JUDDD before my RA was very much controlled, but then I had flares and attributted it to the soy in the shakes.
I honestly am trying JUDDD as a last ditch before medications for RA.
So any thoughts?
I absolutely cannot handle worsening symptoms.
Hi, Hay. I don't have experience with RA, though I was tested for it due to complications from Primary Raynaud's (looked like RA, but ended up being chilblains). Anyway, JUDDD is supposed to help with inflammation, so it might be great for you. I have found that I have chilblains flare-ups if I have very low DDs, but don't seem to have them at all when I have higher UDs. This is totally related to body temperature though. I've learned this through trial and error, so if you're affected similarly, you may have to play around a bit with your numbers.
I was diagnosed with RA 20 years ago and I can control it completely with diet and I have not had an issue at all since starting JUDDD January 8, 2012. I took medication at one time but found that eliminating wheat pretty much put in under control.
I have psoriatic arthritis which is similar. I take loads of medication, but my pain was still terrible. In just the last 3 or 4 mos I have had a good decrease in my level of overall pain. I didn't feel a big reduction until I'd been JUDDDing for a year or more, but definitely feel better now that I have for a long time. The fatigue is so much better. I get wonderful energy on DDs.
Does Osteo Arthritis Count?
While it is not RA, it is very painful. Sometimes when it was at it's worst,
I couldn't walk, get in or out of my bed without help or even into the shower.
Wheat and sugar are possibly the worst thing for arthritis.
My pain began to ease up to the point that I was no longer taking
pain meds all day long. I stay LC on DD's and on UP days I allow
baked potato, maybe a couple tbs. rice, but no wheat, no sugar, no
pasta....For me it makes a huge difference in my ability to move
with much less pain.
Try a gluten free, sugar free plan for 4 weeks and see what happens.
Time is going to pass by anyway. Your body will certainly tell you more
than anyone else ever can.
