Hi Everyone!

I'm in week 3 of JUDDD and today is a DD for me. It's 11:00 a.m., and as usual on DDs, I'm hungry! But I've been able to handle them so far, and this one will be no different. I did exercise on one DD, and it was the worst DD I've experienced, so until I get to the point where I have the extra energy, appetite suppression (on DDs), and other benefits on DDs, I'm only going to exercise on UDs. I have plenty of appetite suppression on UDs. I'm supposed to be eating 1550 - 1830 calories (range between sedentary and light exercise numbers @ 20 - 25%). I can hit the lower number of the range, and I have been, but the last few UDs have left me feeling overstuffed!

All of that being said, unbelievably, I actually lost a bit after yesterday's UD. This WOE is unbelievable! I would much rather have a bit of difficulty on DDs than feel hungry every single day by eating low cal/low carb (and still not even lose weight). I love being able to enjoy my food!

LGG - you said it!!! JUDDD is unbelievable, and every other day getting to eat what you want within your calories makes it so doable! Congrats on your 3 weeks! Your weight loss is great!

I'm starting Atkins TODAY! I was very successful 10 years ago with Atkins but strayed without a real plan and at 35 I'm officially the biggest I have ever been. Time for action! Excited to get back on it and look forward to giving and getting support here.!

Most of us start by entering little or none, simply because we don't wish to eat back calories we have worked so hard to burn... But if you have any doubts try the next level.

Definitely. I think it was still pretty challenging many DDs when I'd been at it less than 6 weeks. I think the turning point was right around week 6 or 7 and that is when I really felt the juddd magic kick in full gear. Before that I didn't know what I was missing and I was just so glad that EOD was an UD. I also stopped low carb at the end of my first month, which for me has always had a negative affect on my mood. I don't know why but I get crabby and irritable on LC even though I have sustained it for years (3+) at a time in the past.

I really hope your DDs get easier.

Thanks! So I've decided on the light 1-3 days per week. Ud today. Didn't pig out but did have quite a few carbs which I will get over I'm sure if I have results with JUDDD and change my thinking. The only thing I can't do is bread cause it make me feel awful. 2nd Dd tomorrow hope it better than the first

Today is my 3rd DD, it's almost noon, and I have zero cravings to eat. So, hang in there! Hoping your next is easier.

Good morning all,
Started yesterday. Have been waffling back and forth on different programs - did HCG drops in April/May and lost 19 lbs. and got down to 192.2. We own a fishing lodge and so all summer I have been cooking and baking like a mad fiend so of course a lot of tasting and of course eating so up up up went the scale. Things are over for the season so back on track I hope. Still have some HCG drops left so will use them once a day I think as an appetite depressant for the first couple of weeks. Started on a DD yesterday at 199.6 - today am at 195.8. UD today so will see what that brings. Haven't planned my menu yet. So far just black coffee. I am going to try and post daily to keep myself accountable .

I agree LGG! I'd much rather restrict a little more on DDs when I'm already restricting than to have to feel restricted on UDs. I want to feel free EOD! It sounds like you're really getting the hang of this and doing great!

That's so great! It's a wonderful feeling when the little tummy grumbles don't compel you to react. You can just sit with that feeling, knowing your body is melting fat.

island girl2! That's a fantastic day 1 loss and pretty darn motivating, I'll bet. Posting daily has been instrumental in my keeping it up. And these wonderful JBs are so encouraging! Good luck!

dd day 2 and feeling great. Today is going soooo much better than my first dd I woke up not hungry at all so I am seeing how long I can hold out for. I had my breakfast and lunch planned out but seeing as I'm not hungry yet that plan is going out the window.
Ive been reading alot of the threads and gathering as much personal experiences and information that I can. If anyone else is new to this I recommend reading the threads loads of information

Ud 3 I feel bad eating all these carbs that is something that will take time to get over, just going from Atkins to JUDDD is so very different.
I'm a bridesmaid in 6 weeks so changing my woe at this time is quite daunting when I so want to look nice in my dress. I am going to give JUDDD a real go for at least 3 weeks and see what happens

On yesterday's UD I ate "real" pizza and struggled horribly with the LC/wheat guilt the rest of the day. Today my knees are killing me...it will be back to wheat-free for me. Really happy with JUDDD so far though. Shocked that DDs don't seem to be a problem for me. Today is day 6 and I've been able to maintain energy levels (walked 41 miles over the last week without fatigue!) and my moods have been fairly even

Maybe I missed something... Are you saying that you think it is necessary to eat a lot of carbs when you are doing JUDDD?

No but on Atkins I always kept them between 20-25g per day. The whole point of me doing JUDDD is to have more variety otherwise I may as well stay on Atkins because it was working but I miss certain foods and screw it up on the weekends.
