DD Monday menus!

B: black coffee; coconut/almond flour rounds w/double berry chia jelly (151 cals)
D: pouch of tuna, 1/2 cup green beans and 1/2 a romaine heart tossed w/walden farms dressing (88 cals)
S: lean ground beef, taco seasonings, tossed w/romaine and salsa (214 cals)

Still keeping carbs low for JUDDD :)
453 cals; 21g fat; 17g carbs/10g fiber; 46g protein

KeirasMom 08-26-2013 06:36 AM

Maintenance DD for me.

B: Everything bagel with cream cheese, coffee, iced tea (355)
L: Small chili with habanero sauce (180)
D: Amy's tamale pie or Lean Cuisine (150)

685 with room for more if I feel like it.

Goner 08-26-2013 07:43 AM

coffee with tsp half and half (20)
2 turkey bacon (70)
greek yogurt (100)
spiralized zucchini with tomatoes and 1/2 chicken sausage link (need to figure the cals - but I'm thinking less than 160)

Dottie 08-26-2013 08:05 AM

Gonner I just zoodled about 6 zucchini I had in my produce drawer lol.
I let the zoodles drain in a colander for about an hour, then wrap the whole bunch in triple layer of paper towels, then pop that in a gallon size zipper baggie with the zipper half open and refrigerate.
They stay fresh about 4-5 days that way :)

LoCarbGal 08-26-2013 08:20 AM

Dottie, thanks for that description of your zoodles. I have struggled with zucchini ribbons in the past - they start to leak their moisture so quickly that it has wrecked my delicious marinated salads. I think your technique will totally save the day!

I have been really struggling lately keeping my calories in control. In fact not so much struggling as failing. I think it's PMS oriented (excuses, excuses) but today I'm re-dedicating myself to control.

B: Iced tea, iced coffee
L: Coffee/HWC
D: Deli ham

Target: 400 or less

elphie124 08-26-2013 09:12 AM

Hi everyone!

B - black coffee, green tea
L - Sautéed veggies, with 2 egg whites & 3oz shrimp - 133
S - 4 egg whites - 60
D - 4 egg whites, 84g brussel sprouts, joseph's pita made into chips (w/ cinn & sweetener) - 155

Total - 348

jacquelinejolie 08-26-2013 09:14 AM

Hope you're feeling better Carol. :console:

Coffee w/splash of almond milk
B/L: Roadside lemonade PP w/greek yogurt + frozen blueberries (18+12=30 g P) ~ 150
PM snacks: Turkey lettuce wraps x 2 (24 g P) + fr. onion laughing cow ~ 150
D: Broiled lean hamburger and salad (30-35 g P) ~ 400

About 700 but I want to see the protein g closer to 100 so might have another small PP + yogurt dose.

Redeemed 08-26-2013 10:48 AM

B: coffee, large peach (70)
L: coffee
D: 2 corn on the cob (155), butter (50); and 2 cups cream of zucchini soup (pureed zucchini, onion and almond milk S & P - guessing 80)

Total: About 355 so may have more soup in the evening.

oh! Thank you for that info! I've been making my spiralized zucchini fresh each night, but would be dryer your way for sure.

LoCarbGal 08-26-2013 01:05 PM

Thanks JJ! I'm feeling good and motivated today. I'm going to rock this DD!

Barbo, hang in there! I know what you mean about a couple of failed days. That's how I've been feeling too. But I'm going to refuse to call it a fail because we are still here and trying our best. You rock lady! Don't forget that! :high5:

Spoonful of Happiness 08-26-2013 04:48 PM

I'm having trouble restarting JUDDD so I'm beginning at 45% (796 cals). I'm honestly quite embarrassed to post this on the DD forum but I'm hoping to ease back into the JUDDD mindset.

Lunch: Cucumbers with a tiny bit of ranch (50), baked chicken (170), baked whiting (100)
Dinner: Grilled chicken - 2 (250 calories), tofu fried rice (200 calories)

Librarygirl 08-26-2013 04:52 PM

Don't be embarrased, Spoon. Some of the JBs still do 700-800 calorie DDs. Sometimes I do too. :) Sounds like a satisfying and healthy menu!

Dottie 08-26-2013 05:01 PM

:hiya: Spoon:)
Shoot, most DD's I'm at 600-650 lol.
I know from past experience I tend to lose better at that level.
I plan for the 500, but I don't beat myself up if I go over a bit :)

jacquelinejolie 08-26-2013 06:11 PM

Spoonful - now you have to stay with the "high DD women"! :) The lowest I've got was one day at 460 I think and while I admire those who can do it, I'm too wimpy! And the higher DD helps keep the cravings under control I think, especially in the beginning. And it works like a charm (or it does for me) if you go higher protein like you are. Hey, if I can avoid potato chips (my personal food nemesis) on an up day, there's something miraculous going on.

Glad to see you here. :shake:

Spoonful of Happiness 08-26-2013 06:36 PM

You guys are SO wonderful!
Thank you all so much!

JMBM 08-26-2013 06:39 PM

B: Greek yogurt 80
D: black eye peas potatoes w/ greek yogurt
around 300.

total = 380

1st returning dd almost over! Whew!

Barbo 08-26-2013 08:32 PM

Thanks Carol and Cindy

I came in a bit higher than planned but at least I brought it home.

One more bit of cream for my tea tonight and I'm finished.

Tomorrow regular UP day but I am keeping my eye on myself
not to stray by keeping it mainly LC.

No embarrassment allowed Spoon! You are doing great.

You made it! Tomorrow will be funner.

I had an unexpectedly stressful and conflicted family situation this evening and didn't want to eat much. I think this has been my lowest DD ever at 253. All is pretty much resolved now, so on to a good controlled UD tomorrow.
