Today, someone gave me this recipe which has helped tremendously with her arthritis. So I thought I'd share it here.
My friend broke both wrists when she was young and developed arthritis so painful it kept her awake at night in tears. After using this remedy for two weeks, she was pain free. If she stops using it, the pain starts to return.
She gave the remedy to a friend with severe rheumatoid arthritis in her hands and within a couple of weeks, her hands were unclawing and she could move her thumbs.
Peel about 1lb of fresh root ginger and cut into chunks. Simmer for two hours in 4 litres of water with at least one whole chopped lemon. (Use more lemon if you like.)
Allow to cool a little, strain and stir in one generous tablespoonful of good quality honey.
Drink at least one glassful daily. You can dilute and add sugar as necessary.
Note, ginger is very warming. Should be useful for DDs too!
My friend takes it for two or three weeks, then has a week's break to cool down again.
I would imagine you could usefully add some turmeric too, if you like.

I am going to try this. I have started to have joint pain in my hands and I noticed the past few days that my left one is especially bad when I type, and I do data entry, so I really need to find something that works. I was looking at Dr. Weil's anti-inflammatory food pyramid and ginger is something that he says to eat a lot of. I think turmeric was the other thing. I hope this works. Thanks!

Ginger is closely related to turmeric, which is an even stronger anti-inflammatory. In another thread here, maybe the diatomaceous earth thread, someone posted a link to a youtube video for "golden milk".
I've been making my own variation of "golden milk":
1/2 - 1 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon powdered ginger
10 fl. oz. unsweetened almond milk
1-2 T thick coconut milk
non-caloric sweetener to taste
Combine, break up lumps, Microwave.
Start with only a small amount of turmeric because it can upset your stomach until you get used to it.
Since I've been drinking this EOD my knee is as good as it is on Aleve.
