WOE: Back to JUDDD!
Mixing it up -- again!

I've been maintaining pretty well with daily calories around 1550-1700.

I'm pretty sure I want to go back to rotations, but don't want to have low DDs due to my chilblains (which have been nonexistent while I haven't been fasting). I went to the calculator and found my 50% calculation would be 1733/867. That's doable, but I'm thinking if I'm maintaining well with daily calories over 1500, I might try to average that. I could do 2000/1000 which would be more calories on BOTH UDs and DDs, but still average 1500 per day.

What say the JUDDD BUDDDs? I'll probably try it out at 2000/1000, and then reduce if it's not working, but thought I'd see if anyone has a reason for me NOT to try it this way.

I agree with Melinda. That sounds like a perfect combination to tryout. If it doesn't work out you can always readjust. Good luck Dawn!

Maybe it's not a coincidence that light exercise 1-3 times a week and 50% mode for 5'8", 40 y.o. and 150#'s comes out to 1980 / 990... Yikes, that's not much of a rounding up!

I wonder if the chilbains comes from weather or repeated inflammation / dis-inflammation, so the fasting would exacerbate that somehow? But not sure if that makes sense if you were not experiencing problems with a steady calorie intake.

I never really seemed to get the benefits of the SIRTs anyway, so I'm not too concerned about those little guys.

I thought it was weather-related, but then when the weather warmed up, I went back to fasting and they came back, even with +100* heat here in the valley. That's why I'm hoping the higher DDs will help.

I didn't check the calculator for my age and height with exercise, since I'm not really exercising right now. How funny that it's that close to what I'm contemplating!

That was what I figured. I really benefit from the SIRTs flowing so I like to keep my DDs really low. I'll be back to 5:2 soon and will do 2 DDs under 300, because that seems to keep them going for me, but I have felt awesome, awesome, awesome since going back to EOD. Part of that is summer- long day light, warm weather and back to exercising 5-7x a week, but a good part of it is eod I think. This round of WLM I feel a decrease in pain- part of it is the warm weather, but eod has helped increase my SIRT saturation I'm sure so I think there has been some decrease in inflammation.

I'd say you benefited. 100+ lbs lost is definitely a benefit, and your ease of maintenance. SIRTs are working, for sure.

The numbers sound great! I hope I can do those numbers when I get to goal.

Maybe too new to know....

but OMG does that sound like a fabulous life! It's so worth trying.
Your body will tell you pretty quickly if it's the right thing to do.
Looks to me like all the JUDD BUDDS are in agreement!

I just got home from grocery shopping, thinking "I'm starting DDs again; I'd better pick up some low calorie items!" At the store, I realized, I can eat very well for 1000 calories. No need for special items! Boy, I sure hope this works.

Sounds awesome Dawn! Can't wait to hear how it works for you.

I've been trying to keep up with all of you, though not doing much posting since I'm not doing JUDDD right now. I'm dabbling with 16/8 right now to see if I can lose some baggage. I've been maintaining quite nicely, but that darn scale number is WAY too high! The boot camp is "shifting the sands" so I look and feel thinner but the scale doesn't show it.

Keep us posted Dawn!

Awesome! That would be my ideal maintenance plan if it were not for those pesky SIRTs. 1000 calorie DDs sound amazing!

Hope this works well for you!
