UD Thursday - what's on the menu?

Hi everyone!

My loose plan for the day:

b - coconut greek yogurt w/ flaxseed, banana, iced coffee w/ almond milk
l - tasting plate with sweet mini peppers, sugar snap peas, coconut roasted almonds, and some sort of protein
d - baked coconut shrimp, brown jasmine rice, stir fry veggies
healthy snacks as needed

Clearly I am obsessed with coconut! Yum!

Dropping my UDs from 2000 to 1700 so we'll see how it goes.

Amy, do you own calipers or take your measurements? I find that when the scale doesn't move much or goes in the wrong direction, seeing BF% or measurements go down does wonders for morale. The fancy scale is my new BFF (I don't care if it's inaccurate, I used calipers for years and it seems pretty close with the 3 of us). Or maybe I've just spent too many years on bodybuilding forums. Those guys can get pretty obsessive about things (more than us!) Except they're usually trying to gain weight... But I think it's good to tweak a bit and see what works. It's very hard to put all this effort in and not see a result.

Menu for today:

Leftover beef lo mein
Blueberries - lots of blueberries, have to eat up 2 pounds of them soon
Syntrax whey - roadside lemonade
Greek salad
Hamburger is defrosting and the boys have been begging for swedish meatballs but I'll try to de-fat the gravy as opposed to my usual methods - OTOH it feels too hot to cook so might pick up Wok Box takeout and watch the scale shoot up from an OD of sodium / MSG.
Need to go grocery shopping and pick up some more 0% plain greek yogurt. And fruit + veggies.

Agh! No idea, maybe something at the grocery store will inspire me b/c I have no appetite. Yet am a bit hungry this a.m. It's a strange combination.

No. I should I guess, but I get frustrated because I like things to be precise, and I feel like these methods aren't. I've never tried calipers actually, but with the tape measure if it's not in the very EXACT spot next time I measure, it could look like I lost or gained inches even if I didn't. That drives me crazy. I am way too 'type A' I guess! LOL! I sound like a lunatic, I know!

Is it wrong of me to wish I had this problem?

Join the type A club! I'm very data-driven and anal retentive about this stuff sometimes. It's an inner nerd thing coupled with a bit of perfectionist thinking I guess. But then after awhile, I settle down and get zen about the big picture trends - after I've analyzed all the details...
When I first started using calipers years and years ago (used to be ACE certified), on myself I would mark an X on the pinch spots w/a Sharpie. Of course, they'd wash off a bit in the shower but I'd just re-do them. It was a small x.

You all's menus look wonderful.

Now I am hungry

Had a real good DD yesterday. Didn't eat all that I posted. YaY!

I am projecting a bit as we are going out for our mid-day meal at
a Hawaiian restaurant. It is rare on an UP day that we eat in the evening
with the exception of warm beverage.

Maui onion soup
Salad with grilled chicken strips
Hapa J's special French fries (will share with DH)
Raspberry SF iced tea.

Tonight: Hood Dairy Chocolate Drink mixed with de-caff coffee,
2 Tbs. HWC.

Relax tea before bed.

Busy day today, and I'm basically just "grazing" on whatever.

B: Coffee/HWC, small plum, small peach
L: 2 wedges Cowpal cheese, 3 oz PB
D: Cocktail, chili

I think I have about 700 calories to get to 2000, so I'll have to come up with something good for snack or dessert!
