WOE: South Beach
Start Date: Jan. 2, 2008
Hi everyone!

I am definitely a newbie, since I started on Monday. I have lost 2.6 lbs. so far as of this morning (after an up day; I was down 3.5 lbs. yesterday, but have bumped back up). I would like to lose 40-45 lbs. in total. I lost about 42 on South Beach 5 years ago, and still do lose when I follow it. However, I have been having a hard time sticking to it lately and have gradually put back on around 30 of the pounds I lost. I'm 58 years old, so I don't lose easily.

I thought long and hard about trying this plan, and have read a lot of the threads here and am also reading the book. Seems like it's worth a try!

Wish me luck!

luisafernanda!

Glad you're giving JUDDD a try. It's fabulous to only have to diet every other day and still see losses on the scale! It's an extra bonus to have an active board like this where everyone is so supportive.

Best of luck to you! The first few DDs may be challenging, but I promise it gets way better if you stick it out.

WELCOME luisafernanda ! And for me, at 61 years of age - I am AMAZED at how I am losing on JUDDD. I also did South Beach, but never got to goal. I hope you have as easy a time losing with JUDDD as I have. It was a bit rough the first few weeks, but now almost 4 months down I am loving it and finding it relatively easy.

Thank you all for the welcome.

I didn't do so well yesterday on my up day. I went out for lunch with a friend and for a drink afterwards, which turned into plural... Let's just say I am sure I was waaaaay beyond my calories for the day, even though I didn't count them. Never mind, I'm back at it today. It's 1:45 p.m. and nothing to eat so far.

I was down another couple pounds yesterday morning for a total loss of 5 this week, but I probably sabotaged that with my fun day out. I didn't dare weigh myself this morning!

Great job on the 5 pounds! Don't worry too much about your UD. Lots of people don't count on UDs and do just fine. We're all going to have days like you did. Fun and friends and family means a little extra indulgence, and we should have that. As long as it's not every UD!

I had 2 back to back nights of great friends and lots of food. JUDDD will take care of the occasional indulgence. JUDDD is very forgiving.
