This sounds lovely. You're so lucky.

Welcome back, Keirasmom. You were missed. Sounds like a great trip, and just right to have every (temporary) pound be worth it.

I've been in this house for 8 years and in the past year, all of sudden it is a problem. I have tried to take care of it myself (have not had an exterminator), but with not much success. It doesn't help that we've had enough rain to consider building an ark. Plus, it's quite hot and humid here...pretty common problem and I guess I'm lucky to have been spared for so long. Do you think using it on the perimeter would help on the inside too?

Hi everybody and happy Friday to all! Plus it is payday and a up day. You can't beat that. I just got on the scales after a DD and have lost all vacation weight from last week. Started at 158 and that is what I weight today. Now I have that 2 lbs. bounce I got that first morning to get off and I will be at my lowest pt. again.

Good weekend to all. See all of you later.

Hi, just a check-in. We've had a death in the family and I haven't been able to be on line for weeks. Lots going on, lots of responsibility.

Glad to see the exercise thread up and going strong. Thanks, Fluffy bunny.

Sorry to see that a purge of posts was done in the last few days. If only I'd gotten back a few days earlier to know that, maybe I could have copied and saved a few to have a record, but it was announced Monday without an effective date and had already been done as of this a.m.

It said posts back to Jan 2010 would be gone, but I have no posts left before August 2012, which is very sad to me - just a matter of months left rather than years. I would have copied and saved my first ones in early 2009 with a record of my loss. And now see that my first ones in mid-2012 when I needed a re-start are gone, too.

Also I might have thought to save some wisdom from others during my first visits here and first losses. Of course, I wouldn't have known that posts between Jan 2010 and August 2012 were going to be gone, anyway.

Hello, everyone! I went to river running this morning. Its about 1000 calories burned for an hour, and I came out one whipped puppy. I scraped my feet up on the bottom of the pool and now instead of energetically hauling myself off to do some much needed grocery shopping, I am sitting around nursing sore feet.

Its a down day, and I am really fighting the appetite monster. New insulin dose is doing fairly well. In fact better then I expected.

I got a lot done on my wall paper stripping project yesterday. I may go sit on the stairs and work some. At least I won't be having to stand on my sore feet!

Down Day for me

Pup dog got me up at 6:25 A.M. I usually get up at 9:30 as I am a night owl.
So I made Lavash crackers for DH, some low carb dough nuts frosted with
cream cheese and lavished with toasted pecans. I only got one bite.

I'm ready for a nap. I picked and snapped a big bowl of green beans,
for tonights supper. Got to find my caloried count at My Plate.
Back later..

It probably could help. I guess I'd start doing just the outside and see how it works first. Why spend the extra money and time, and have the yukky chemicals in the house if you don't need to.

That said, if I were you I'd invest in the large jug with the attached sprayer. It'll get you all the way around your house on the outside and there will be plenty left to do the inside if you want. If you call the company they'll send you a book of coupons and there's a $2 off one for the bug barrier. They sent mine out within about 3 days. Good luck!

Let me just say that the last few hours have gone from ---> -----> ----> ----> -------> and WTH!!!!! When those vested with the responsibility to treat and serve mentally ill people abuse their position and commit crimes against these vulnerable people it is absolutely sickening. I am saddened tonight and reminded that there are some seriously disturbed individuals masquerading as mental health professionals. I'll just make a virtual scream... AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH and get it out of my system till Monday when I will have to further address this.

Ok- I'm done...

I will try it LCG, and thanks for the recommendation.

Carly, that does suck, and I can only imagine.

Pooti, hope your a/c gets repaired soon (I know all about that!), and also that your infection clears up.

Just keeping bf company while he lists ebay stuff...seems to motivate him for me to show an interest.

That's horrendous, Carly. I teach disabled kids and though I have never seen anyone do them direct harm, some people I work with are apathetic, lazy, or just impatient in dealing with them and it is terrible as well. Why do they bother getting a job in these settings when they don't want to do their job the right way? It's pathetic. I hope that person gets what's coming to them!!

I understand Carly, I drive special needs kids from 3 to 23. We see a lot and a lot comes from the parents sometimes go figure. Some days we just want to cry and then one day a nontalker will say a word or two and shock us to death. I had a boy who had never talked to us in years and all of a sudden he came out with a whole sentence. When I told the parents they were shocked that he had done that. That is when all that is wrong with special needs turns up side down and all is beautiful. I was almost in tears. What am I saying I WAS in tears. Another time the same boy had been on my bus about 8 or 10 years. I had been off for a operation for several weeks. When the boy got on the first day back he was excited to see me back. I forgot and ask if I could have a hug because I had missed him that much too. All of a sudden he said yes and we hugged. You see this sounds normal but what I had forgot in my excitement to see him was he is Autistic and he will not let you get in his space I had tried to get close before In the years I had had him but even if he was crying we were not aloud in his space. We had missed each other so much we both forgot and he said yes and hugged me. I had this boy from 3 to maybe 11. He now goes to school in another town to help advance him. So you see Carly even if you run into those bad people God will let you see something so good in these children or adults that will make the world right again. I would not give up a hug from a child that is Autistic for a million dollars. I have had their teachers say that a Jr. High boy could not give me a hug. This is the only way this child can show how he feels. I ask his dad if it was ok. He said why not if he wants to show that he cares he should be aloud to. He ask what I told the teacher. I said that if that boy wants to hug me while I am putting him on the lift to go up in the bus he is more then welcome to. This is another boy that can not talk at all. The only way this boy shows any signs of what he thinks is by smileing and hugging you. The way I see it is he is a special child from God and It is a gift to me from God to work with these kids.

We see a lot wrong with people that work with them and people in general sometimes and it is hard to take some times. Then when the kids do something special it helps ease up the bad. There are millions of people that take great care with them and they will be blessed.

Can some one double check for me what a lady 57 that is 64 in hight and 123 lbs who exercises Medium would get in their numbers for up and down days. My sister has rheumatoid arthritis and fibro. and she wants to try the diet to see if it helps with the pain. Last night I put in all the info and it first said over 2300 for up and 577 for down. I thought it was odd but thought that was because she excercises so much. Well I got to wondering and went back in last night and tried 3 times and all 3 times it said 1897 up and 379 down. I do not know what happened because I read her all the answers before I hit the last button. I just want some one to double check this set of numbers so I do not give her the wrong set of numbers again. Thanks in advances to who ever tries for me.

I hope all has a great day to day. It is beautiful In Ohio today in the 70's and Sunny. It is a great day for our band to go to camp. We have a 2 1/2 hour drive one way so it should be a nice cool drive for Aug. See every one tomorrow. Judy

Windygap I got these numbers too- 1897/379.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I know the good service providers outweigh the bad, but it's just hard to imagine what would cause someone to act in such a despicable way. Of course, right now it's just an allegation so we will let the police do their job.

... it's been something else and I don't think I've dealt with the half of it yet...

I'm doing Ok, but the clinician that received the report and translated for us is really going to need some support in dealing with this. I anticipate a very long upcoming week.

DW and I are going to go for a long walk in a bit so that will be good. I think I'll get on my elliptical before we even go.

Just a fly-by. A next door neighbour died on Thursday and another one across the road was taken into hospital. Both very elderly so their partners need a fair amount of support.

I miss checking in - things should calm in a few days.

Slow, you are a wonderful neighbor!!! Seniors are near & dear to my heart. Love to you & your neighbors/relatives!

Oh Carly, I am so sorry you all are going through such a revolting thing at work. There are horrible things that happen in this world, but it is so much worse when it's people in helping professions that are involved. My heart hurts thinking about it. Hugs to you gf!
