Off subject here, but can anyone tell me about these shitaki (spelling?) noodles? What section of the store are they in? Do they have a "noodle" texture? Does Walmart carry them? Thanks!

can any one tell me if there is a site that you can put a recipe in and it will tell you the nutritional info. I bought Trisha Yearwoods new cook book that I have been watching her cook from all summer and none of the recipes have the info. I know I can break down each item but don't have the time or desire to sit and do that. Thanks to any one who knows of a site. I also want to do some of mine own. Hope all have a great weekend.

Yes- seriously! I looked hideous after my surgery. The breathing tube cut my lip and my face was so swollen from laying face down for 9 hours while being pumped full of fluid.

I use to buy mine from netrition. I have seen them in the Asian grocery stores, but never in our Walmart. They DO NOT have a texture like pasta. They are springy or slightly rubbery.

I made them in Asian type dishes or with vegatbles. I would not like them with pasta sauce or pesto sauce.

There are sites and phone apps, but I don't think we can say which on here.

Google "calorie recipe calculator". There's a bunch of them. None of them that I know of allow you to upload something and get it analyzed, you still have to enter the items line by line.

Very handsome (and surprisingly happy looking!) young man Rebecca! Hope he recovers well.

Ok thanks Carly. Walmart is pretty much all we have. Publix is a good ways away so may check there. I guess theyd be in the produce section? Ill ask someone at the store. Might just be simpler to order online.

JMBM Publix does not carry the shirataki noodles. You can get them on Amazon for a decent price....I have seen the tofu variety at Whole Foods, so you might check a health food store.

Today is a DD for me...having a terrible time of it. Its only 5pm and I already am pushing 700. I am just terribly hungry today...guess it was the double workout yesterday....

Im glad yours went well Cindy. Apparently I forgot how to court calories during my long time off juddd. Lets just say it involved white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies. I didn't realize a cookie could hold that many calories. Should have looked at the calories before eating. Lol. Clearly an oh @$!# moment for me. I am going to have to charge my thinking on UD's. Maybe hold super rich treats for 1 time a month or week. Anyway hoping for a god DD tomorrow.

Yes, my nephew is handsome, and yes, he was on serious drugs in that picture, which partly (mostly?) explains the good attitude. He just posted this picture of his new bionic back on Facebook:

Much to reply to so I'm hoping everyone is having a great weekend and an even better three day weekend if you have tomorrow off.

Vacay ends tomorrow. Heading back to NY in the early AM. Had a great much needed relaxing time, but I can't wait to get back to my rotations. Not looking forward to work craziness though. Just going to go in with positive thoughts.

Have a great day all!

I live in a relatively small city in the south, and you can find these at a asian food store here.
