DD Monday - staying accountable!
Had to go out early this morning and missed my usual generous input of H2O.
Returned with slight headache and, to add insult to injury, felt hungry. :cry:
So, as a preventive measure, I've just had some lunch.
I need to plan the rest of my day's food intake and stick to it, as I've a long weekend of UDs to antidote. :o
Lunch: 1 boiled egg with courgette spaghetti and big salad, dressed with pesto - 215 cals
Dinner: Cauliflower and mushroom curry, made with ff Greek yogurt. Plus more salad – about 200 cals
Supper: Strawberry and kiwi glucpud with extra strawberries – 100 cals
Tea and coffee – 90 cals
Total = 605 cals
Sounds such a lot! :cool:

Good morning Flossyliz! I unesterday when mornings don't go as they typically do. I prefer my DD's on the weekend as I can sleep in an average, 4 hours longer than I do during the week!
2 eggs, cottage cheese 180c
Tomato with cottage cheese 65c
deli turkey 50c
once I get home tonight, not sure......goal is around 600c
L: 7 Surimi Sticks, 4 Grissini
D: 'Fried' Courgette Sticks, 'Fried' Cauliflower Florets & FF Yoghurt mixed with mustard, chilli sauce & mint sauce (as a dip)
S: Cup of Tea & last bit of yoghurt
409 cals - quite a high day for me!

I've been having trouble knowing what I want lately. Weird. Whatever I wind up with, I'm hoping it will be under 400 today.
I didn't bring enough water to work with me today so I've been having a headachy feeling, but that will go away once I eat.
L: Yoplait greek yogurt and green grapes (130c)
D: Hummus and crackers (130c)
Hopefully will end today with 260c, but we will see.
What is HWC? Hot with cream?!
Only my second down day. Still hungry but won't give up!
B: coffee with cream and egg drop soup (100 cal)
Lunch: egg drop soup and salad (spinach and whatever else I have) 100 calls
Haven't planned the rest yet but loving this soup idea!

L-whey protein drink w/1/2 c. strawberries, 1/2 T coconut curd - 170 - 20 g proten
D- 1 cup vanilla SF greek yogurt, lemon curd - 190 - 23 g protein
I had an egg with greens this morning (100K) and am planning a salmon fillet with mayo later (133). Maybe a salad with some chicken. I am feeling the urge for protein.

I have been working like crazy lately and today's no different. I planned on a higher DD today, but, I need to plan it out here to be accountable and make sure I stick with it and don't turn it into a MD (or worse!) We got an email late last night notifying us of a big project and I started work at 5:30 am this morning with no end in sight. I work from home, and knew I wasn't getting to the grocery store at lunch as planned, so between the insanely long work day and lack of good food in my house, I knew today was going to be difficult to keep it to my 514 cal DD number. I think I've managed a plan to keep it low, but allowing myself up to my 35% range (905!) if I need it which is still in WL mode.
B: loads of coffee with powder creamer 50 cal total
L: Leftovers from yesterday's lunch- peppers and broccoli rabe sauteed in garlic & olive oil. I'm estimating about 50 cal worth of veggies; 200 cal of olive oil; and 90 cal for the bread I ate with it = 340
D: I am cooking dinner since we are going to the gym later and we always come home ravenous from a workout- 3 grilled fish tacos on corn tortillas w/ a mango/pineapple salsa
fish- 130 cal
corn tortillas- 120 cal
salsa- 50 cal
Total = 300
That is a total of 690. I can go all the way up to the 900 without derailing myself completely. So I am allowing myself to consider that 200 calories as wiggle room- take it if I need it, or ignore it if I don't. I'm kind of thinking the 3 fish tacos may not be enough after the workout, so I'm holding a 110 cal protein shake as dessert.
My First DD Officially
I hesitate but I will get my feet wet today.
Diabetic and pray that this will be ok for me.
328 calories thus far according to "My Plate"
1 c. beef broth
2 coffee with 1 tbs. HWC and SS
1 c. steamed broccoli
1/2 c. steamed spinach with 1 tsp. butter
1 egg and 1 egg white omelet
4 cherry tomatoes
I am mulling this over.

So far so good.
I'm going to take my blood sugar in a few moments.
That will tell me how I'm doing.
Still mulling over dinner. I think a home made veggie/beef soup
would be filling. Would like to have a J.Robb shake too. Will have to
consult with My Plate.

2 c. beef broth, shredded carrot, green onion, shredded cabbage,
fresh green beans I totaled 631 for my first DD.
Of course I realize that this is not midnight tonight, it is only 4:22
in So. Cal.
I weighed in today.
Here's how it comes out:
Starting Weight 225
Lost down to 150
Gained up to 170
Lost down to 161 as of 7/22/13
Still only had liquids today, and probably won't have the yogurt. I am drinking the most delicious coffee right now! I bought it at Target. Archer Farms Coconut Macaroon. Yum!
