Do you eat your exercise calories?

I earned 367 calories today from exercise. Just wondering if you eat them or not?

Most of us do not eat our exercise calories. The feeling is, if we worked so hard to burn them, why would we want to eat them back? It would be different if you had a steady daily deficit, or if you burned a TON of calories, but the nature of IF already precludes issues with metabolic slowdown associated with daily restriction, so there's no need.

As always, YMMV, and you're definitely free to experiment and see what works best with your particular composition.

Hi M23 :)
I agree with Dawn that this seems to be a YMMV thing. You don't have to add back any calories if you are losing well and feeling good. If you want to add them back just because you'd enjoy more calories, and that would make you more satisfied, you can always try it and see how your losses go. If you are exercising regularly and don't feel great on the "little to no exercise" calories (very low energy, feeling overly hungry) or your weight loss stalls even though your calories are on target, another calorie level might be better for you. Some of us have had to experiment to find our personal best calorie range for losing, and also what we feel is comfortable/livable for each of us long term, and those can vary a lot. I love how this plan is so flexible. :)

That makes sense.

Thanks!
