My first DD
 
Yesterday was my first DD. It was ROUGH. I was pretty hungry most of the day. The worst part though was that I fell asleep ok, but woke up at 2 am starving. I couldn't fall asleep. At 3 am, I caved and ate a banana. Put it in my calorie counter for today and fell back asleep. So I only lasted 28 hours when I wanted to last 36. I had 440 calories yesterday, and didn't exercise but sat outside from 5:45 to 9:15 watching my daughter play softball sweating to death lol so I think I burned a calorie or two!

Hun, it was your 1st day!!!! You did great, too!!! 400 cals!! Cut yourself some slack, you have to figure out what works best for you. It gets much, much easier!! Enjoy your UD today and be kind to you! None of this negative toward yourself stuff!!! You made it through and well under induction cals to boot!!!! :clap: :heart:

You did great! I felt headache-y and nauseous my first DD. I think the first one is the worst then it just gets easier and easier. Jump back in tomorrow and hang in there. Try drinking a few glasses of water when you feel the hunger pains. It passes after a while.

You really did do great! Lots of us never try to go lower than 500 calories until after the 2 week induction. I didn't go below 500 for a couple of months because I sort of didn't understand, and I was losing well at that number. This was NOT a failure of any kind! And it will get easier!

Yes, you did great! The first 2 weeks on DDs you can go up to 500 if you need to.

To get under 400 on your first DD is excellent! Not sure of the size of the banana - but rather than beat yourself up as not having made 36 hours (I don't always, as I eat late some days - and sometimes have an early brekkie) put your banana towards your DD cal total! Unless it was huge! it would only add 100 or so cals and you would then have had a great 500 cal DD!
