DD Wednesday: menu and plans

Cinema night tonight, with luck I shall finally see Man of Steel. We shall be there, clutching our dehydrated kale and aubergine/eggplant, while supping our glucomannan shakes. The glamour.

B: coffee with MCT oil and lecithin: 158kcals

L: soup with MCT etc.: 260kcals

D: cocoa with MCT etc.: 260kcals

Running total of 678kcals and that's before adding in the cinema snacks (probably an additional 120kcals). This is outside my notional DD allowance but just about within boundaries. I'm having to increase the amount of MCT during this hot weather to keep the headaches at bay and that is pushing up my kcal intake. but it's so good to be headache-free.

B: coffee with HWC (50)
L: chicken noodle soup (150)
D: Shiritaki noodle dish that I haven't decided on.
S: special K red berries bar (90)

That's 290 of my 406 allotment not including dinner. I'd better get digging on here for a good recipe. It will be my first time making a shiritaki noodle dish!

Slow- I think increasing to keep headaches away is very smart. I am not a fan of headaches and would do just about anything to have them never occur.

Piglet - let us know what you find. I have done the miracle rice with egg/veggies, like fried rice. I have done it with shrimp and veggies, chicken and veggies. It does make for a nice meal.

Mike - Good to see you here again!

Well it's HUMP DAY! We have to go to World's Of Fun at 5:30. It is the world series for Softball starting today here in KC. They do a parade and pin exchange. My DD11 loves it all. Games actually start tomorrow. I am not pleased it is at Worlds of Fun...the last 2 years it was at an open mall area and there was no charge to get in. This year, it is $25 per person (special discounted rate) and $15 per car to park. Since we are going at 5:30, we won't have to pay....but just think of all the entry fees they are collecting at the expense of softball teams???? OK, I'm over it!

Protein shake 180c or 2 eggs with cottage cheese 180c
cottage cheese / strawberries 100c
salad 95c

protein granola bar if needed. Dinner, well, it probably won't be happening.

Goal is around 600c

I try to have every morning a down day until I start to fade too much in the afternoon.
Only made it to 1:30 yesterday, but some days I can go longer, 3:30 is my goal.
Then the food shoot opens
I do have alot more energy putting off eating.
But today Im going to be weed eating (lucky me) and will eat at noon ish.

You're right. I can't quite lose the feeling that a public health lightning bolt will smite me for deriving so many of my kcals from fat but to be headache free in this weather is remarkable.

I'm going to Google the world series for softball as I'd no idea such a thing existed. I hope that you enjoy it despite your reservations about the financial exploitation involved.

I'm having a strange not-down Down Day. We are celebrating a birthday, so my plan is to have nothing EXCEPT the honking-huge lunch of sashimi and seaweed I had when we went out.
So...calorie-wise, I am not Down, but attitude-wise, I am!

The Shirataki noodle dish I made was AWESOME! I dry fried the noodles (16 oz), then added a chopped clove of garlic, 2 cups water, and a large veggie bouillon cube. Then I added a chopped medium zucchini, 3/4 cup chopped red bell pepper, 1/2 cup chopped sugar snap peas, 2 T teriyaki sauce. I let that simmer until the veggies were cooked. The entire pan was only 146 calories, and it was a TON of food! It was so wonderful. I can't wait to have it again. And it was at least two meals worth.
