Update time:

Week 3 is done for me and I'm down 3.8 pounds in the past 8 days! That's a total of 11.2 in my first 3 weeks on JUDDD!

I lost 2 pounds the week before that doing 500 cal DD's so for now I'll stick to zero cal DD's as it DOES seem to make a difference for me. I think based on my plan laid out here I'll stick to 0 cal DD's until I'm ready for the slow crawl to the finish line.

At that point I'll up the calories on DD's so I'm only losing 0.5-1 pound of fat a week (with 6 days of exercise each week) and continue that all the way to goal. Now it's on to week 4!

I wanted to loose 5 lbs. but I went on vacation last week and had a 6lb. gain. So I have to get busy and get going. I weighted in the day I left with 158 which was a up day bounce of 2 lbs. Today after a DD I am 159. So I have 3 more lbs. to go to be at my lowest. I still have time to get to my goal. That is why I picked 5 because I knew vacation would set me back.

WOW - some great results so far in this challenge! I remember by goal, but alas, have not done anything yet to achieve it. August WILL be the month that I return to regular exercise - I will. So that by Labor Day I will achieve my goal!

I just can't tell you how much I am aching to be in those Levis. Now that it's within sight, I just can't stand it. It will signify being more *normal* again. They may not be loose by Labor Day, but please let me be wearing them and looking good!

I am just over half-way to my Labor Day goal (179 -> 170). Feeling good. I am definitely losing my weights in 'jumps' though. We'll see if my 'jump' lands me in the right spot next month. Last time it was quite the nail-biter for me.

I am a teacher off for the summer. My original Labor Day goal was 199. I was 213 in June. Unfortunately, I had a bad eating spell in July and gained to 226. (JUDDD starting weight)

My new goal for Labor Day is 212. I want to go back to school at least a little thinner.

Welcome Paula! I am also a teacher (in the Hudson valley) but my school has summer school so I am not off. Do you find it hard to be home and stay away from the kitchen? I feel lucky that I'm out of the house all day and staying busy or I would have a hard time on DDs.

Summer is always tough for me. I have to create a "summer work schedule" to keep me busy. The minute I sit down in front of the TV, food starts to call me. This summer, I am refinishing the basement and decluttering. July always seems to be worse eating wise than August.

It is awesome that I have so many JUDDD neighbors.

Where is the tag sale? Not raining where I live LOL So funny!!
I was born in the Bronx and lived in Westchester for most of my elementary school years before moving up to the HV. Most of my family is still in Westchester but I don't visit much. I went to NYC for a day trip and it was like a foreign country to me LOL

I grew up in Westchester, lived in the city for a bit in my early 20's and then moved back to Westchester. I have to go into the city 1-2 times a month for work and my sister lives in the city. My parents are retiring to Florida, but will be staying in the city till their house in Florida is ready.

I could enjoy living in the city, but it's expensive and DW isn't a city person.

I did an update post yesterday but something happened with my laptop and it was lost...the long ans short of it is that as of yesterday...my one month JUDDDaversary...I'm down 10.4 pounds and that's AFTER an UD. I had an unplanned MD last week and ended up switching my rotations. I'm going to continue taking my weight after every 4 UD's now to get a true idea of what my weight is. 9.7 pounds post UD to get to labor day goal!
