(7/14-16 another stomach bug!)
7/17 - ice skating! (3 hours minus breaks)
7/19 - 30 minutes HIIT on treadmill (252 calories, 1.8 miles), 30 minutes walking
7/20 - 60 minutes on treadmill (3 miles, treadmill says 469 calories, UP says 378), 15 minute walk outside.
7/21 - 15 minutes walking x 3
7/22 - 23 minutes HIIT

Had to revise today's exercise. I had SO much to eat at the picnic today and while I was mostly good and stuck to the meat and veggies, I did have quite a few gluten free cookies someone brought. I was stuffed with protein and some extra carbs so I thought I would put both to use and do a heavy weight workout. I'm not sure if it was the stockpile of protein/carbs or the skipping of the cardio before the weights but it was an amazing workout. I was able to up the weights on every exercise, some considerably, and I could have added more. I'm going to take a rest day tomorrow but Monday I'm going to skip the cardio and go straight to lifting to see how it goes, if I do cardio it will be after lifting, or I'll skip it all together. I keep reading that cardio is probably contributing to the layer of fat around my midsection, so maybe dropping it for a while will be good.

7/19 - 30 minutes HIIT on treadmill (252 calories, 1.8 miles), 30 minutes walking
7/20 - 60 minutes on treadmill (3 miles, treadmill says 469 calories, UP says 378), 15 minute walk outside.
7/21 - 15 minutes walking x 3
7/22 - 23 minutes HIIT
7/23 - Zumba
7/24 - 26 - out of town, lots of walking around town and in the park (made 10,000 steps goal or close each day)
7/27 - 25 minutes HIIT (225 cals)

Going into the next week of exercise starting tomorrow I'm switching up my workout routine to 4 days of HIIT a week and 2 days of strength work for a longer duration of time...

Mon-Tues, Thur-Fri : 20 minute HITT
Wed & Sat: 50 minute strength routine

I'll stick to that for now until I feel it's time to kick it up another notch.

I wanted to add that I really enjoy this exercise thread. It's great for accountability and I also love looking back and seeing the daily accomplishments which is motivation in itself.

I fell off the JUDDD wagon while on vaca but at least I got in a TON of walking, swimming, etc. Tonight I'm going to start up with running again but instead of just working up to 10k I'm adding in sprints. I did a lot of research on running and found that strict distance running isn't always the best for weight loss so I found a running weight loss app and I'm going to start using it tonight. I'm sure the sprints are going to whip me into shape!
