Oh my, Adi, what a delightful blog! I had so much fun reading about your trip for your sons graduation. The picture of you and your DH and DS is just wonderful! I also especially enjoyed the photo of the sleeping baby girls...how precious they are. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for your kind words. I enjoy my animals so much in the absence of only child. I know they can't replace him but they keep me super busy. And they can be really photogenic. At times.

I cooked food for the freezer at the weekend but ended up making the meatloaf last night because we overlooked a package of pork so I needed to cook that up so that it, too, could be frozen. Between that and the pate, we should be covered for a while.

I think the sun is long overdue in the UK - lots of people seemed to be run down last Winter and it's probably related to their lack of vitamin D top-up last Summer.

I agree Slow, I take a supplement after watching the You Tube clips about it.

I just make up some strong instant coffee and blend it with some water and ice. it comes out like a cappuccino. I add Splenda to it too. The cafe in the park next to where I live, just pours t over the ice cubes and then I have a little milk in it. So refreshing in this glorious hot weather.

Been so busy today I haven't even thought about food. Love JUDDD.

Love this!

Hi sweet ladies!! Hope you are all well. Been so hosed with work. It's been gruesome. But I'm hopeful it's wrapping up and can get back to being a normal pace.

Oh Kissa that sounds so good. I think I will have to try that today!

Guess what girls? Windygap is down another lb. today. That makes 10 lbs. in 4 weeks and 2 days. Not bad for a old lady that is only aloud to sit and recoupe from eye surgery! Dr. said last night that my eye preasure is 2 in first eye and only 1 in the surgery eye. It should be 10 to 13 for me so he said no Mt. hikeing or big shopping! I can only sit by the pool next week and have feet propped up. Well couldn't I just take my bag back to the car each time so I am not carrying too much at once. There has to be an answer some where to this trip. Oh yea no horseback rideing either. BOOOO!

Ok so I have some nice looking stranger carry my bags? Or better yet he could take me out to eat instead!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HEHEHE!!!!!!!

Ok Ok I get it . No going under the water in the pool either. So I guess all I can do with my sister this year is window shop, read a book in the sunshine and eat this week.

See all of you after the 28th. I am praying all of you loose bunches while I am gone. I will fight vacation weight when I get back. 2 rotation will get me going again.

Good morning JB's. Windy, it sounds like you're forced to have a very relaxing week! I am so happy for you that your eye seems to be healing well. And you've managed to continue to lose weight at that pace?! Excellent!

Windy, you're doing great! Congratulations on your wonderful losses!

I'm sure having to restrict your activity is frustrating, but I do hope you enjoy your vacation. I like the idea of finding a nice looking stranger to take you to dinner!

(I also hope your wish for us to all be smaller when you get back comes true!)

Hi everybody. Thanks to all of you!

Cindy It sounds like you have a great evening planed. You have 30 lbs off that is so great. I hope you do well while I am gone.

Carol Every one will be smaller when I get back but I will be fighting to get back to 156. It will be worth it. WE only do this once a year because we are both divorced. So we usually go down for a week and my skinny sister drags my lazy bottom up and down every waterfall trail. Two years ago we hiked for 8 miles one day. I did not think I was ever going to see my car again. When I walked up to it I almost kissed the ground it was parked on. needless to say we did not walk all the way up town to eat supper that night. We could hardly crawl out our door to sit in front of the pool. We had did half that hike the night before because some older couple said we could make the whole hike and get back before dark. We had already done a 5 mile hike earlier that day and when we saw the sun starting to go over the Mts. I said lets go back. I do not want to get caught in the dark out here. We made it back about 20 min. to spare. So by the time we hiked it the next day I was totally dead. For Christmas my sister made a shadow box with a picture of us on top of a boulder in front of the waterfall. It had a picture of me starting, finishing and me standing infront of the Falls sign with the mileage on it. It also had fall leaves of all size and color. Acorns and little stones from the trail. I will love it for life. I will think of you every time I get a cup of coffee with heavy cream in it while I am gone.

Piglet 11 lbs lost OH YEA!!!!!!! That is great news. So glad you came over to the JUDDD side. Good luck while I am gone.

Kissa I tried your iced coffee this morning. Oh my gosh it was good. It sounds like you had a great evening with your friends. See Ya!

MUAH back at you all!!!!

Kissa this sounds so great! I actually did something like that this afternoon. Every day at 4pm the MH's hit (Mean Hungries). So today I did what so many have written about, usually I just muscle through them on DDs and am done with them...they're starting to be a little less fierce after 3 years! (Slow learner! ) But today I took a cup of SoDelicious Sugar Free Vanilla with 1 cup of strong decaf and almost 1 tsp of glucomannan with crushed ice, vanilla extract, EZSweetz and cinnamon. It was so good! So refreshing and totally filled me up until 7:30 pm when I had a great dinner and jello-o for desert! And I'm only at 386 for the day!

Hosed that one! Woot! LOL!

Yay!!! Don't forget to measure NSVs!

Measure yourself with a measuring tape. Take a photo of yourself at every 10 lb weight loss. Try on your skinny pants. ) Realize how much easier it is to get behind the wheel of the car, or walk in the store, or go for a hike, etc. And celebrate cuz the weight loss is great sure, but the healing that is taking place in your body is HEEEEEUUUUUUUGGGGGGEEEEEEE! I mean life changing! Diabetes, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, Cancer, Inflammation, Auto-Immune, did I mention inflammation-reversing diet!! woohooo!

Congrats on the loss!!!!

Body fat assessment then a day out, a possible trip for sashimi, some time on the water this afternoon and then a night out at London Zoo

I've been thinking about FairyWren's upcoming walking tour. Especially the part where her pack can weigh no more than 10% of her weight. As she gets lighter, she can bring less, but she's also carrying less ON her. It made me want to get a backpack, and start filling it with the equivalent of the weight I have lost. Has anyone done this? What is it like, shrugging into (and out of) an extra 2-30-40 pounds?

That's a good idea for a boot camp Sirtain. Have people carry around the amount of weight they lost in a back pack for an hour a day, just to see how much they were "literally" carrying around. I would not want to carry around a 30 lb back pack, lol.

I had a pretty good time last night. Thanks everyone.

I'm pretty sure I couldn't even stand up straight without falling over with 120 strapped to my back! It really does make you think about it though. I always said I didn't know how unfit heavy people can be when they're carrying all that weight around all day everyday. But of course, when we're heavy, we certainly don't move that much!

I have to say, I never felt sick or tired or unwell (at least no more than I feel now) when I was obese. People often ask me if I feel so much better with the weight off, and honestly, I don't. I feel better in a vain sense, because I look better, but my physical condition doesn't really feel all that different. Of course, I have other health issues that affect it, I'm sure. Maybe if I was truly "well" I'd feel different.

I feel a whole lot better with 30 lbs off! I can't say 100% better, because I have that much and more to still lose. I can actually bend down without thinking about it now, I can cut my toenails, lol, without suffering, I can climb stairs without getting winded, etc., etc.

Dawn, I bet if you added back the 100 lbs you've lost and walked around for a day, you'd see a huge difference in how you feel. You may have just gotten used to being smaller now. I understand that you still have health problems to deal with though, and that is a shame.

Oh! I love that idea of putting how much weight you have lost in a backpack! I am going to think this way when I add weights to the bar for my squats when I weight lift! Right now, I am about 30 pounds below my all time high...and I use a 45 pound bar and ten more pounds in plates. I will never look on it the same!

I just got home from a water fitness class at my local aquatic center. They have a 'river' with rapids and water falls outside as part of the water park. The current is fairly strong. They do the class in the river with and against the current. What a blast! I feel like jelly, but two or three different calculators estimate the calories burned in an hour as around 900! Its a DD for me...gonna love seeing the negative calorie count on my tracking program! I came home and sucked down a protein shake, but am considering if the corner of the desk will taste better with salt and pepper!!

I need to go shopping

I've come to the realization that I have no idea what size I really am. I've been shooting for this pair of 16 Misses Levis from about 12 years ago, but from conversations here I am realizing that those may be a bit smaller that a 16 in today's clothes, and non-Levis. Almost all the clothes I have right now are altered from larger sizes, or are, in all reality, too large for me now.

I REALLY don't want to spend much money on clothes that will be too big in a matter of months, but I also think I may need to go shopping and try on a bunch of things to see what size I really am. There's this small part of me that is scared that I'll still be in a larger size than I think/hope, and that this will be depressing. I'm also afraid I'll find a bunch of things that I want and will spend money I shouldn't!

So, I am committing to going shopping in the next couple of weeks and learn a little about my size, what styles are flattering, what's out there, etc.

Carol, I think that's a fabulous idea. Also, make sure you try on sizes that you don't think will fit. I learned the hard way when I tried on 10s and they zipped, I was so happy I bought a couple of pairs, full price. Then, a few days later I thought, hmm, these are a bit loose; I wonder if I can get into the 8s. Not only did they fit, they were more flattering than the 10s! What a waste!
