I looked at all the numbers on the scale today because we're having a Bod Pod body fat assessment on Friday and I need an estimate of how I am today because we have gym tonight and I may have a little inflammation tomorrow. (Because it's maintenance, I normally ignore the decimals and just read the middle figure of the major one. )

July 14 128.6lbs (y'day UD)

July 18 127.4lbs (y'day DD)

I'm pleased because I'm still using extra MCT oil for migraine control (it's 32C+ or so, so while the UK-relative hot temps. continue, I'm taking up to 4tbsp a day).

Best wishes to all those who today and my respect to those who don't see what they want nor what they should theoretically expect but persevere/come up with a sensible strategy.

I've no idea what your migraines are like but it's not unusual for me to have up to 5lbs of extra fluid after one and it can take 4-10 days to shift it while the electrolytes sort themselves out.

1675 is TDEE for sedentary at 139 pounds. I was hoping to be able to lose a little on those numbers. I'm not giving up yet, but sheesh!

In May, I was maintaining with 1750ish daily, but I was exercising, and I've been lax this month.

I just redid my JUDDD numbers and they would be 1744/349-1046. I'll see how this goes for another few days/week, and then decide what I want to do.

Chilblains have vastly improved with no fasting.

Well, after reading the posts in Calorie Swing, I decided I'll just go back to 500/1600. I don't always eat up to 1600 (when I'm tracking calories, which is really critical for me), but I like the freedom to do it if I want to. Actually I guess it's a matter of, "Why fix it if it ain't broken?"!

Goal for July: Onederland. Calorie range: UD 2000, DD <800, but experimenting with higher calories on exercise days (adding back partial calories).

7/1 - 204.1 - UD - (calories? probably went over) - passed today the halfway mark to goal!
7/2 - 205.7 - DD (554)
7/3 - 204.0 - UD (?) - ate lightly during the day then didn't count and went a little nuts at dinner AGAIN. must fix this. being done with the booth will help, I think.
7/4 - 206.7 - DD - Rather than a double up day, I'm shooting for a higher down day.
7/5 - 207.5 - UD (2008) - I have been so off with my rotations ... getting back on track now.
7/6 - 205.1 - DD (608)
7/7 - 203.0 - UD (1993 + a couple bites before bed, uncounted) - That makes 70 pounds evicted.
7/8 - 203.4 - DD (581)
7/9 - 201.8 - UD (2290-408 burned=1882 net)
7/10 - 202.5 - DD (618)
7/11 - 203.5 - UD - (2558 .... didn't plan on going that high, but my tracker says I burned 687 calories so net is 1871?)
7/12 - 203.7 - DD (508)
7/13 - DNW - UD - had to leave the house at 6 in the morning... no time to weigh. Went over my UD cals by a bit.
7/14 - 203.4 - UD - one UD meal, later got sick
7/15 - 200.7 - DD - recovery diet of broth, rice, banana, and yogurt. Much better today.
7/16 - 201.7 - UD - did not count calories, but still a bit scared to eat and did not have much until a nice dinner
7/17 - 202.6 - DD
7/18 - 201.2 - MD or UD

Lanarkwitch - I know it looks like you "gained" a pound in your second week, but I read this pattern as "lost a phenomenal 7.2 pounds in 12 days and having a normal JUDDD bounce which will be gone soon."

Dawn - SO WEIRD. We all know that there is no way you could actually gain any real weight whatsoever on those calories, but I just think it is so strange! Chalk it up to a scale anomaly? Maybe adjustment to daily food vs. ADF? I think you're wise to wait it out ... it's got to stabilize soon. Great news about the chilblains!

Alcestis - nothing to worry about my friend! You are bouncing but the trend is downward ... you'll see a new low soon (maybe it's TOM).

Really low energy lately, even after 2 rest days. I think I need to up my calories and up my carbs overall to keep up with my exercise. I might stop rotations and stick with an eating window instead and do some calorie cycling between workout and rest days. There will still be a swing of calories, but only by about 600-800 between the 2 days. The goals being to not gain weight, and increase my energy levels. I think I will actually lose more weight faster this way but we will see.

I bet that is scary. Creeping up like that is concerning, but it also may just be your body adjusting. With your chilblains improving, it may just be a matter of tweaking a little more. You'll figure it out!

Pre-TOM always makes me stall/gain too! And makes me less tolerant of the scale to boot. Like you say, just keep the faith. I *do* believe in a higher UD every now and then to give your body a jolt and get losses going.
