DD Monday: Menus and plans

Start of a beautiful June week with fluctuating barometric pressures.

B: coffee with MCT oil emulsified with lecithin - 158kcals

L: chard soup - 140kcals

D: cocoa with MCT, lecithin, unsweetened almond milk & cocoa - 240kcals

Running total 538kcals which is towards the top end of my maintenance DD allowance so I may need to swap the cocoa for water-based chai (with MCT) if I need a snack to take some pain relief.

ETA: According to the JUDDD calculator:

WLM has a range of 308-538 for me on DDs.

WLM maintenance range is DDs of 615-692.

I have been a bad juddder. I am back on it. For real this time :)

Trying out the HWC DD today.

Scarlett46 06-17-2013 10:00 AM

Flutter 06-17-2013 10:50 AM

Lots of coffee with sf creamer...;)

desertgirl 06-17-2013 11:13 AM

I have no idea what I'm having today.

I brought some broth and 100 calorie popcorn to work. I wasn't planning on eating much during the day today, but I have a raging headache. I'll have to take something to get through my work day, which means I'll have to eat more.

I plan to keep my calories at or near 200.

AndyBFK 06-17-2013 11:51 AM

ugh...Monday... :)

I had a spectacular DD on Sat. One of the best I've ever had. My energy was SOARING. My joints and muscle problems were almost non existent which allowed me to run errands for 9 hours, only sitting to drive, with almost no pain. I was in a great mood AND I managed to fast a full 24 hours. When I finally gave in and ate around 8:30, I had 2 cups of 100 cal soup and 2 glasses of wine staying right within my 514 allowed cal. Boy did I feel like I was making a turning point with tough DD's.

And then I woke up today.....

Eh, it's just going to be a hungry day. It just is. And I had some blood sugar issues today, not sure why. So, I am a little dizzy to boot.

MY WL range is 514 to 770. Really going to try and stay close to the 514. No promises.

B: Coffee (one day I'll have to see what all the fuss is over HWC. I just prefer the powdered stuff and since I only use a bit, I tend not to count the calories. Hm, I probably should). 20 cal maybe?

L: 2 FF Hotdogs, 2 pieces high fiber bread, sugar free bread&butter pickles. 200

S: Planning on some Greek Yogurt with Mio - 100 cal

D: Leftover MMMM-Minestrone (Hungry Girl recipe). 100 cal cup. 2 cups. Big green salad with WF Bacon Ranch Dressing, some bacon bits, and cherry tom. I'll need to calculate this as I make it depending on how hungry I am, but I'm thinking somewhere around 50 cal tops?

B: Coffee w/1T HWC
L: Chai tea w/1t HWC
S: YoCheese Pudding, coffee w/1T HWC
D: Not sure yet

Any other snacks will be Gluc Puddings or shakes.

Just curious how you make yours?

Pkg shiratki noodles w/o soy (those have 40 cal)
Rinse noodles under running water for 1-2 minutes
Set colander aside to drain

Mix together:

1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated (110 cal)
2 tbsp FF sour cream (15 Cal)
pinch nutmeg
1/2 tsp dry mustard
freshly grated pepper

fold the drained noodles into the mixed items and blend

Spray a small casserole dish with no stick (5 cal)

Pour the shiratki mix into the casserole and bake for 20-30 minutes until slightly browned and bubbly at 375 degrees.

:kicking:

Yummy, and keeps me from feeling deprived on a DD.

Kimmie

pinacoladas 06-17-2013 02:56 PM

B - one cup of coffee with hwc and sf vanilla syrup
L - chilli lime peanuts, salad w/ greens, slivered red onion and garlic dressing from my fav greek restaurant
D - another serving of the same salad and 1 egg w soy sauce and a 1/2 glass of white wine

I'm really loving the salads because you do plenty of chewing which is satisfying on DDs with next to no calories. Definitely going to add salads into my regular DD routine. If you measure the dressing it makes for a really low cal meal :)

deedee 06-17-2013 03:07 PM

So far two cups of coffee with HWC. Going to have some tea with hwc before bed. Tea with real cream is amazing.

Vacation weight will be splashed away with a few rotations - good for you for getting back to the rotations so quickly. :high5:

I'm only too familiar with this dilemma (had to do this today). :hugs: :console:

Oh dear, the only advantage to this horrible experience would be if there were an obvious lesson to draw. :dunno:

That sounds like the nicest Shirataki and cheese recipe I've read - I must try it.

It's interesting to see those of us who, like eating on DD and those who prefer liquids because chewing triggers hunger for them.

I like chai with almond milk but normally take my tea without either milk or sugar. It's never occurred to me to try tea with cream. :)

SlowSure 06-17-2013 04:05 PM

Ho hum, I needed to swap out the cocoa so that I could eat to take some pain relief.

I had 25g of lean ham with some dried tomatoes and then later a meal,of Shirataki noodles with assorted vegetables and goat kidney. I'm within my maintenance kcals but it was a near thing.

Thanks!!! I've been making a lot of Shirataki lately and am always looking for new ways to prepare it. I find a lot of recipes on the internet, but you never know how they will turn out. It's good to hear of one that a JUDDD'er has tried and liked.
I can't seem to find the miracle noodles anywhere except WF which is like a zoo and I hate going too. So I end up with the Tofu ones since I can get em at Kroger. I told my DH that "Tofu" was just the brand name and they're really just rice noodles like he gets in his Vietnamese dishes. He has no clue and LOVES them. I'm like a mom who has to sneak things into his food (no those aren't sauteed onions, they're just sauteed celery for crunch).

Carly 06-17-2013 05:06 PM

5:30am- coffee w/ sugar free creamer= 30
6:30pm- coffee w/ sugar free creamer= 30

Bedtime snack:
I have 5oz of celery already chopped= 20
but the other 100 calories are not yet assigned...
May be used on cottage cheese and Mio or Wasa crackers and laughing cow :dunno:
I also have an 80 calorie yogurt that needs to be eaten soon...
It's nice to have choices!

Hehehe! Too cute!! I get the miracle noodles from Netrition and don't have to hassle with WF.

The recipe is even tastier if you can afford calorie wise to up the parmesan content.
