Nah, I'm trying to stay LC and, like I said, I just need to practice hehehe
Yesterday ended with 63g carbs, net. I could have done much worse.
20g of that was VODKA- so that tells me I should finish up that bottle
and get started on the 0-carb varieties

I had totally forgotten there was such a thing as fruit juice! I think I need to go to the grocery store with new eyes. I did get cheese yesterday and that added a whopping 400 calories!

If Kissa were genuinely 'old school' (like my aunts but she's too young), she'd refer to them as 'dolly pegs' (reference to laundry dollys, back in the days when laundry needed a wash tub and a dolly and 23inch upper arms of pure muscle, I'm not too sure when rubbing boards aka skiffle boards came in).

I don't feel young, 66 on Sunday.

I used to call them dolly pegs. Remember dolly blue? (And my DH palyed a skiffle board in the 60s, lol.)

And, do you remember the old wringers? My first washing machine had an electric wringer, it was a a disaster, everything just got stuck in it... round and round, it was a nightmare. Oh how I loved my twin tub when that came along. Nothing had prepared me for the joy of a spin dryer.

How things have changed.

Kissa, Happy Birthday! (Late of course, because apparently I haven't logged in for a week). Okay, happy birth-month!!

I'm down 4 pounds... Lost them right after I started to get discouraged but before I quit! I had committed to two weeks, and that will end on Tuesday. It doesn't sound like a lot of weight, but I'm back in the one-eighties!

I used to make peg dolls from dolly pegs!
And my Grandma had a dolly posser.

Mum had a big electric tub with a wringer. A whole morning just doing the laundry and, in winter, a week to get it all dry. Ah the good old days!

Nowadays, I bung a load in the automatic and go shopping!!

Not my DDs. They look "almost" like my UDs!! The only diff between the two are a bit more protein (60-70g) and a few more carbs 40-60net and a more fat!

I eat pretty volume-centric, nutrient dense foods.

I eat between 40-54g of protein to satisfy my minimum daily requirements.

Protein Range 46-54g:
46g x 4cal/g = 184 cals = 316 cals leftover
54g x 4cal/g = 216 cals (500 cal DD) = 284 cals leftover

Carbs: 40g x 4cal/g = 160 cals (284-160)= 124 cals leftover after carbs

Fat: 124 cals/9g = 14g of Fat

So I eat a TON of low carb veggies, some berries, some non or low fat dairy and some defatted nuts or a tiny bit of walnuts or pecans to make up my carbs.

Here's an example of a DD (I always start by planning dinner first. ):

Dinner (Up to 300 cals): ~276 cals
Cheeseburger Pie (200)
Roasted Green Beans (50)
Medium Sliced Tomato (26)

Lunch (Up to 125 cals): ~125 cals
Dan Dan Noodles (75)
1 1/2 oz Grilled Chicken (50)

Breakfast (Up to 100 cals): ~70 Cals
Blueberry Breakfast Pudding (70)

Total for the Day: ~471 Cals

Guess what? I have enough leftover for dessert! Woooohooooooo!!!!

Dessert: ~25 Cals
Homemade Sugar Free Creamsickle (25)

Total for the Day: 496 Cals; 15g Fat (25.2% calories from fat); 46g Protein; 55g Carbohydrate; 19g Dietary Fiber; 36g Net Carbohydrates

So that's what a typical day looks like for me when I eat 3 squares and a spare. Sometimes, I only eat 2 meals...so things look quite a bit different!

That menu looks darn good, Pooticus! Great DD fare. I need to get a working plan for 250-300 going. Any good ideas?
