DD Wednesday: menu and plans

I tried getting up last night and the swelling got much worse in the legs and knees so I'm still propped up. I have appointments I can't miss for Thursday and Friday and I'm beginning to wonder how I'll manage them.

B coffee with MCT oil and sunflower lecithin (158kcals)

L cocoa with unsweetened almond milk, MCT and lecithin (250kcals)

D Shirataki noodles with griddled peppers and charred aubergine (60kcals)

Total 468kcals which is within maintenance limits for a DD. I may need to swap out the lunch for crackers and Dairylea if I need the anti-inflammatories. So, I might need to eat some more for that but it's still within calorie budget for maintenance.

FairyWren 06-12-2013 01:04 AM

Sorry to hear that you are still suffering SS :(

B: Black coffee
L: nothing
D: Omelette with a little cheese and some steamed green vegetables

Total: 508 kcals

FairyWren 06-12-2013 01:05 AM

Double post! How did that happen! Thats what comes from sitting in a field using mobile technology! :dunno:

The last three DD's have turned into MD`s with a workout. Saturday I was in Hershey Park so that was a hot mess. Monday I fasted all day, worked out then ate about 700 calories at a Memorial Svc. Today, I have a funeral so I'm going to fast and workout then eat at the repass. Hope to be back on track after today.

KeirasMom 06-12-2013 06:14 AM

:hugs: SS!

B: Click shake (120)
L: Chili w/habanero sauce (180)
D: Click shake (120)

May add a FF Greek yogurt if I feel like it (100)

Projected total: 520

Sirtain 06-12-2013 06:24 AM

Looking forward to my Down Day after a ...shall we say...less than optimal Up Day. I'm going to have mostly liquids plus a piece of salmon. This afternoon will be an all-day-graduation-endurance event. No beverages allowed in the convention center. Not even water . :(

zipp2play 06-12-2013 06:30 AM

SS - feel better. Good vibes for feeling better by tomorrow!

Evie - no worries! Love seeing you twice! ;)

Lili - 700c is a good DD for me! :D

Dawn - I wonder how much chili Wendy's sells during the summer. I bet you are their #1 customer!

Sirtain - I hope your afternoon goes by fast!

It's HUMP DAY!

Here is my "plan":

2 eggs w/ toast 215c
cottage cheese 80c
strawberries 50c
salad 85c

430 at work , then brocc/mushrooms at home. Maybe some protein too! Probably around 530c, which is a really low DD for me!

Hi everyone, I need this DD, last night I ate 7 course tasting dinner, which was divine but not ideal even for maintenance,.

B
L large coffe with creamer and Benefiber, 70 cals
D I am stealing your omelette idea Evie. I've got eggs to use up.

Librarygirl 06-12-2013 07:26 AM

B-coffee - 60

L- Lean Cuisine (230)

s-cherries - 74

D-cabbage stir-fry with peanut sauce (LOVE, love this!) - 87

Will have room for a fudgesicle too. :)

pinacoladas 06-12-2013 07:29 AM

B- two cups of coffee with HWC and sf vanilla syrup
L- ff yogurt with Mio and WF marshmallow spread, zucchini chips with blended tomato sauce, one square dark chocolate and handful of chilli lime peanuts
D- leftover shredded chicken

this DD is a lot like yesterday which was supposed to be an UD, but since I will be in a bathing suit on Friday, everyday until then will be a dd!

Think I might try a 0 calorie DD today to deal with my silent reflux issues. I've been drinking water with True Lemon all the time, and of course the first ingredient is citric acid, so I'm cutting that out today and drinking Alkaline Water.

If I need something by the end of day, I'll have a big glass of unsweetened Almond Milk with sf chocolate syrup for a yummy chocolate milk at 45 calories.

SlowSure, good luck for tomorrow!

Dinner: Spicy veggie noodle salad with prawns - 215 cals.
Essential cups of tea - 45
Total = 260

Hopefully, I can delay eating till about 8pm!

zipp2play 06-12-2013 09:10 AM

pinacolads - I understand Bathing suit issues, believe me I do. Having that many DD's in a row very well may back fire on you. I would assume that low of calories for 4+ days may throw the body into starvation and be counter productive. I do wish you well though, let JUDDD magic work, eating, you may surprised how productive it is! (just a thought)

Thanks for the tip! I've already lost enough weight for my height, I just find lowering the cals helps me regain nice muscle tone because I have more stable energy and endurance after a few days eating less. I actually don't really need to lose weight at all but Im curious about this WOE as a means to allow me to splurge more when going out in the summer! This WOE sure would have been helpful a few years ago tho, it took me a long time to lose 15 lbs on LC alone! :o

Technically what I'm doing is 'cutting' right now, eating low cals and mostly protein without much in the way of salt, fat or carbs. Should have been more detailed in my post! Sorry

I'll post a bathing suit pic on Friday =)

pina, I'm glad what you're doing is working for you. :) However, multiple DDs or low, low calorie days are not JUDDD. They are simply VLCD and I don't mean very low carb, but very low calorie. The swing you get between Up Days eaten at your maintenance level calories and Down Days is what makes the SIRTs. You will not get the benefits of JUDDD by just severely restricting calories alone. :)

Took DH out to Pizza King for his birthday last night. Had No dough pizza:yummy: Then I made him a chocolate chip OMM with SF hot fudge and Carb Smart ice cream mini birthday cake. So I am really glad today is a DD for me. Pizza detox!!

B- coffee with HWC
L- blueberries with greek yogurt
D- shredded chicken with mayo and mustard, broccoli

total= 338

MrsAndi 06-12-2013 10:32 AM

total fasting

hoping to make it through the day on only coffee and ff creamer again.

Thanks, but I am not doing this long-term, I thought I made it clear that it was just until Friday, and I'm doing this WOE to allow me to splurge when going out in the summer. But I appreciate you taking the time to give advice

LoCarbGal 06-12-2013 01:00 PM

B: Iced tea, Diet Dr Pepper
L: Coffee/HWC
D: 3 oz cream cheese

Hoping for one more nice whoosh from this fat-fast thing tomorrow morning, before the losses slow/stop, like the seem to after I've had a really good week. Then I'll probably go back to more normal DDs. But I'm feeling very good doing this, so who knows.

SlowSure, I'm worried about you! I don't mean to sound intrusive, because I know you are knowledgeable and know what you need to heal. I just mean I hope you don't overdue and set yourself back. If you can't make it to those meetings, then you can't! Take care.

Lily, Hershey Park sounds so good. Just the name alone sounds yummy.......mmmmm

Deedee, I'm sorry you're having reflux issues. Yuck! Hope you are feeling better right away.

Librarygirl 06-12-2013 03:59 PM

I have cabbage to cook for dinner, but got started on coffee and H&H. Now have 129 cals left and I want another cup, lol. Might not eat anything else today.
