DD WEDNESDAY - Plans, menu etc.

It's our wedding anniversary tomorrow, so we have a picnic in a park scheduled for this evening. Kale chips, glucomannan shakes - everything one dreams of for the low-cal gala.

B: coffee with 1tbsp MCT oil (126kcals) and 1tsp sunflower lecithin (32kcals). Subtotal=158kcals

Picnic: appropriate portions of: dehydrated kale chips; noodles in PB2 sauce; HB egg in FF mayonnaise; charred aubergine; semi-dried tomatoes; glucomannan shakes; chocolate and cauliflower pudding; cocoa-covered almonds.

I would normally have 159kcals from a DD allowance for this picnic but because I'm on a maintenance break, I have up to an extra 350kcals if I would like them.

Oh, you are so prepared, SlowSure! Happy Anniversary and I hope the picnic is great fun.

I've decided to have 600 to work with today. (I'm on maintenance and go up to 700 or even 750 sometimes.)

I wanted half a banana*, but will settle for half an apple for breakfast. 70
Salad with chicken for lunch. 250
My question mark is supper. Considering a mini tuna salad with HB egg.

*I'm thinking banana is a good antidote sometimes when we had too much sodium on UDs. I'm always going to be a fruit-for-breakfast person, so I'm thinking I might as well have a plan for which one and why!

Today's DD I'm holding off as long as I can till I feel hungry.

Have with me at work:
bone broth
yogurt

Last DD I ate a large volume of veggies and some lean protein. It was only 160 calories, but I felt uncomfortable all night with the volume. Still learning what my body wants with this plan, so not sure I will eat dinner.

Just back from our lovely picnic, complete with idyllic sunshine and the temperature managed to stay above 15C for most of the evening. It's still light and it's 21:30 - oh, Summer, you're so lovely and energising, why must you be so brief.

Happy Anniversary!!! Sounds like it was lovely!!!
I am truly inspired you kept to your DD on your anniversary. That is a long-term goal of mine. Anytime I have something "special" or a trip planned, I don't even think about it, I just gorge. I can't even imagine doing JUDDD at an event or on vacation. But, I know so many JUDDD'ers have gotten there, and that is inspiring to me!
Oh, and can you share your PB2 noodle recipe with me? Was it a cold peanut noodle salad? (Mmmmmmmm)

Travel week continues....

B: Giant pot of coffee. 1 poached egg and 2 strips bacon. I was ordering room service for the coffee anyways, so I felt like I might as well get breakfast too. Not the best idea, made my hungry all day. 175

L: Luna Fiber Bar and 3 Magic Pops 150

D: Greek Yogurt w/ Mio (I'm on antibiotics and have to eat a ton of yogurt and the calories are really messing with my DD's!) 100

I have 75 left, but, I'm again feeling ravenous today. I may push it over 100 again and get a Wendy's small chili tonight. We'll see.

Happy anni, slow!!! I am in awe of your picnic celebration food girl, especially on maintenance! Wow!!!! (and I am so with you on summer being so lovely and way too brief!)

Boring DD as usual for me. Just coffee w/ some sf creamer. 45 cals. I did have a bite of the family's chicken alfredo dinner, though. Hey, I made it, I wanted a taste!

I've just posted it in DD recipes' thread: Down Days recipes ONLY

I'll post the 2nd version as well. Both of these are good - obviously, there's no denying that their savouriness is improved by more generous use of peanuts, sesame oil or lime juice but for skinny-versions, we like them.
