Hi Marika, thanks yes i do make SCD yoghurt, i usually use 80% whole milk and 20% HWC (although i have been known to use 100% HWC and it's really good but even for an UD that's loads of kcals!). I just couldn't imagine using the fermented version in my coffee but i guess there's no reason not to give it a try!

Great to meet a fellow SCDer!

Well my DD yesterday with just the coffee with butter and oil went very well, by about 5 o'clock in the evening i was starting to feel a little peckish but then realised i'd been up since 6am and had had my first coffee at 8.30am with nothing but water in between so i made my second coffee straight away and it did the trick.

Today was my weigh in day and i was down 3 pounds from last week, but as i said in the weekly weighers thread some of it could have been water weight as i've been very low carb this week in a concerted effort to sort my insides out.

Anyway, i quite enjoyed the coffee day and will certainly do it again for the next week on DDs, it makes for a very easy life, not having to think or plan, that will be great with the busy week i have coming up! I think it will also give my irritated insides a nice rest too - so worth doing just for that!

I can't believe that we've had 2 days of being 30C and I was outside on the water during one of them and I haven't had a headache.

Now, it's tricky to remember to have a hot drink in this weather because I don't want one. I can't stand the mouthfeel of a fatty drink which is why I've been using lecithin to emulsify the MCT oil into the hot coffee, cocoa or tea - I'm definitely going to have to develop some more cold drinks with it to remind me to have it.

I so hope this continues to keep the headaches at bay even if it does skew my eating choices so much.

I just tried a tablespoon of HWC in a diet Dr. Pepper, and that was delicious!

(I don't have soda often, but I was trying to delay dinner ... )

I really hated the mouthfeel of HWC when I first started LC, but I grew to love it and it's spoiled me for any other kind of cream lol. Very good NSV!! You should post it over there too!

A very non-hungry DD for me today, First coffee with coconut oil and butter at lunchtime, then another at about 6.45pm - i struggled to get this second one down, i just didn't feel hungry! The only other things i've had today are water and black tea.

That sounds delicious, Lynn! I may have to try that tomorrow on my UD.

Update: both Kissa and Flossyliz have mentioned that, uncharacteristically, they've experienced a headache recently and this is possibly related to the heatwave, recent storms and fluctuating barometric pressure in the UK.

I've continued my modified ketogenic protocol which is currently including 4 Tbsp of MCT oil per day.

I haven't had a headache or a migraine.

Even people who rarely get headaches are getting them with this barometric pressure but although you can see all of the blue veins quite clearly in my face and it's a tad bruised/swollen and I've got heightened tinnitus and some of the usual corollaries, apart from a few throbs that last seconds or a minor background temple pain - I've had virtually no real pain.

I would like to work back down from that amount of MCT to be able to include some more 'real food' on UD but I'm not going to alter the amount while it continues to be hot or changeable. In the interim, I'm considering trying to use the MCT in a Shangri-La fashion (Seth Roberts) to re-set my fat set point. However, I'm having difficulty working out a plausible schedule.

That's fantastic Slow! I'm so happy for you that you've found a way to circumvent that awful headache cycle.

I had a wonderful Fast Fast style DD yesterday with just Coffee/HWC and avocado for dinner. I should get out my ketostix before I eat this morning and see what it looks like, and I haven't weighed yet. Hoping for a nice whoosh today!

I am totally intrigued by this thread, the results are excellent and anything that deals with DD hunger like this has to be tried! I have to say the appetite suppression you guys are experiencing is reminding me of how I felt on a ketogenic VLCD called Lipotrim many years ago, it was a foul tasting concoction and the creamy coffee sounds far more attractive.

Emma, I absolutely love DDs like these. Today I'm replicating Monday's DD, which may have been my easiest ever. Coffee/HWC for lunch and an avocado and maybe a little cream cheese for dinner. I love not having to think about food all day. And I love knowing the food I'll eat barely costs me anything!
