Those pictures look amazing Flossy!! I wish I had one, but alas I have no more storage space...will have to just chop up my veggies and fruit with a knife.

Has anyone heard from Jaymar?? She hasn't posted in two months and I was just thinking about her...she has always been so sweet and encouraging.

My three UDs have come back to haunt me. Trust me, I didn't think I'd get away unscathed. After a stellar DD, I only lost .2, so there it is. Trying again for a MD, because tomorrow will need to be a UD as well.
Thanks JB's! Loving the new job, but I have not been very dedicated to the JUDDD woe, or any IF woe for that matter. Well, except for the window eating thing however. But haven't been real good with that either. I work thur, fri, and sat. I HAVE to do my fasting days on other days. I start getting the shakes and feel like I'm going to faint if I try to go all day like that w/o eating. I thought about taking some adkins shakes just to keep my blood sugar up and try that. Idk, will have to see how it goes.

I got this one! It comes on Saturday... I'm excited! I too need a big plate. I'm super excited to make some yummy cucumber salads, but also want to try some radishes like I get at my favorite Korean restaurant.

When DH was last in the US, he brought back a Japanese Pickle Press for me just so that I could make tsukemono as I'm very fond of pickles as well as fermented vegetables such as kimchi.

I have a different spiraliser with which I'm completely incompetent. I'll try and improve my technique but may consider the purchase of a different one. (I am such a gadget hound.)

I got the Spiralo. It's vertical and packs down small - though I leave it assembled on the worktop, as I use it most days now. In my experience, things that go in cupboards and need assembling before use, rarely do get used.

Some of the online Asian-style recipes look delicious. I must do an update of my spice cupboard!

Hi, girls! Just thought I'd come over and check in with my JUDDD buds. So far the hcg's going really well -- I still find myself in sort of JUDDD-like patterns -- it seems like every-other day I want more food, and then the next day I have no appetite at all. How funny is that? It's going well, though -- how is everybody?

Glad to hear it's going well Deen. I was just wondering how you were doing. Are you losing well with the hcg? Funny how you're unconsciously still mentally doing JUDDD!

How is the HCG protocol going. It sounds restrictive. Are you enjoying it?

Hey Carly and LowCarbgal -- nice to see you two! You know, the ladies on the hcg board are VERY nice -- but I still feel like JUDDD is my 'real' board. lol The hcg is going well -- it has not been entirely smooth sailing, though. I lost 9 lbs my first week -- but could only stick to the Simeon's protocol for four days -- I was just not getting the appetite control that I'd thought I would. I knew a lot of people fat-fast on hcg with very good results, so I decided to try that. It has worked! In fact, it was working so fast, it seemed too good to be true. And it was. lol I lost very well (like 1.4 pounds a day) for about 4 days -- then stalled. It was TOM week. My TOM doesn't usually affect my weight that much (like 1-2 lb gain at the most usually) -- but, for some reason, on hcg it really did. I stalled for two days and then started gaining (eating exactly as a I had been -- high fat, very low carb, and under 1,000 cal per day) -- until I was within three pounds of my starting weight! Also, TOM was delayed, I had all the symptoms but it just wouldn't come -- yada yada... this is probably more than you ever wanted to know! lol Anyway, if finally did come and the gained weight came off. Yesterday I was at 225.4 -- which is my lowest weight in several years (I'd lost down to 227 on JUDDD, but then shot back up to 236 on my vacation and never got below 230 after that). So, it's definitely happening, abeit in fits and spurts. I would love to get to 199 on this round -- but we shall see. If I do, I'll just try to maintain that for a few months, then maybe another round. The high-fat, low-carb is def. SO much easier than the traditional protocol -- I'm never hungry and my doc is onboard with it. So glad I found out that was an option -- yay, internet!!

Sounds as if it is really working for you Deen, I am so pleased. Glad your Dr is watching over you too.

Had a great DD today, I love Blonde with a Rose's term 'Healing Day'. And that is just how it felt.

Hi Deen, glad to hear that you're down to your lowest weight for several years, well done on persevering!

Glad it's been warm for you down south Kissa, grey, wet and miserable here in the far north-west of Scotland yesterday made all the more miserable by our broadband being out - the engineer can't come until Monday (sigh!). I'm stuck with a slow as a snail mobile connection via my iPad. Still, i had a lovely day yesterday making soap, i hadn't made any since last year and had forgotten how much fun it is

All the kitchen gadget talk was interesting, i've put a spiralizer on my 28 day list - if i still want it in 28 days i'll buy it - the 28 day list is to prevent impulse buys - my kids call me gadget girl...

Talking about kids my oldest daughter joined me on JUDDD yesterday she'd been struggling for a month on a very low cal diet. We're on the same rotations so that will be good. This is the daughter who is getting married in September next year. I'm mailing her my Dr. J book tomorrow.

Evie I love when DD is JUDDDing with me as she is now. I am much more diligent when she is looking over my shoulder.

Melinda, I even caught the sun a little yesterday, and I am soo careful. But I love a little tan.

Nice, Kissa. I like a little tan too, but worry that it might contribute to more wrinkles lol. I did get a little sun yesterday indadvertantly. I was visiting with my sister's ex and her gf, sitting under a umbrella by the pool, but feel that I got a little sun. Had a nice time and everyone was shocked (in a good way) at the "new" me.

We love the new and the old you Cindy, but I am thrilled that you are still turning heads.

What is it about the sunshine and warm weather that makes us feel so good. It is genuinely healing, mentally and physically. I am so glad I watched the "D-lightful" film on YouTube. It permitted me to enjoy the sunshine again after so many years cowering from it.

Hi, Kissa, Fairy, Flutter and Cindy! (hope I didn't leave anyone out! ) We are dog-sitting for a friend this week, and I sure am getting plenty of walking in! We've been walking him 4 times a day for about 15 minutes each time, so I figure an hour of walking, that's not too bad! He's a male pit bull, which I was a little concerned about at first -- but, I swear, he's the nicest dog I've ever met. He's so calm -- and he hasn't barked once. I am honestly surprised, given the reputation of pits... he seems way calmer than the golden retriever I used to have! Anyway, that's my news... went to a friends birthday party this weekend and had a few (ummm... 4, let's say... :P) glasses of white wine. So, that wasn't strictly on plan. lol. Hoping for not too big a set back though.

Oh my, don't say such things as 4 glasses of happy juice aren't on plan!!! I am on my 3rd Mike's strawberry margarita as I type. hehe! I love me some summer weather & alcohol on the patio! (it's really a shame these are 200 calories a bottle & pushing me over my UD calories!)

Deen, yk, one of my friends has a pit & she is also an amazingly sweet dog. Then there's my little aussie shepherd (who looks like he should be sweet, cuddly and a teddy bear!) and he is great with my little family, but not with anyone else. You just never know with dogs!

Kissa, yes, sunshine & heat are wonderful mood enhancers! I was just telling DH that we simply MUST move somewhere warm once the kids are older. I do not like living in the cold weather! Never have, but by golly, I just want to be able to sit outside without goose bumps for once in my life!

Hi LG darling!

After 4 days of eating and drinking with my sister, I'm SO looking forward to a DD! My calories will be a bit over 500 today as my sister is still here and she is making Chicken Marsala for us for dinner tonight. I have to go to work, but she'll be here till tomorrow morning. I'll have more of a mid-day today and then I'll get 2 DD's in later this week.

Have a good week everyone!

Sounds like everyone enjoyed their weekend! It's Monday and I'm ready for a DD. That doesn't sound right, lol. Only JUDDDers would understand.

Flutter, if you want warmth, S.C. is the place to be! In the 100s lately (heat index), and humid.
