Hi all! Was traveling all last week so was not able to weigh for awhile, but have been following all your great successes!. Came home hoping to see a loss, but..... Of course not. I love how emphatically I can post about how I hover around the same number for weeks and then loose a bunch allof a sudden and it's fine, cause I realize this is just how it's going to be for me.... And as long as I'm losing.... But in reality it can be such a bummer!!! I probably shouldn't weigh every day because of that, but darn it, I just can't stop!

Anyways here we go again....

6/1 309 UD
6/2 312 MD
6/3 309.5 DD
6/4 - 6/7 Did not weigh
6/8 311.5 UD
6/9 311.2 DD

Start Date: 7/14/2011
Started JUDDD at 214.8 on 4/10/2013
End of May 2013: 197.4 for a loss of 17.4 in 51 days, average of 2.39 pounds per week
UD:2404
DD:481

Goal for June - get below 195 and switch to a working maintenance plan and increase strength training

5/31 DD - 199.2 - 980 - rest day
6/1 UD 197.4 - 4523 - weight lifting (935 calories burned) went with the flow and just ate what ever, a very successful cheat day
6/2 DD 200.6 - 1088, already went for an early morning run for 7.55 miles (1376 calories burned)
6/3 UD - 201.8 - 2467 - weight lifting (450 calories burned)
6/4 DD - 201.2 - 638 - 4.5 mile walk (463 calories burned)
6/5 UD - 200 - 2515, weight lifting (625 calories burned)
6/6 DD - 199.2 - 305 (HWC and Coffee day), rest day
6/7 MD - 195.8 - 1585 (plus some uncounted almonds/macadamia nuts/strawberries/etc. some grazing was occuring), rest day
6/8 UD - 194.4 - 3005 - cardio and weight lifting (1069 calories burned)
6/9 DD - 195.4 - 700+, morning walk/jog (1371 calories burned)
6/10 UD - 194.8 - 2400 planned, cardio tonight planned

The HWC/coffee day didn't really work for me, probably because I started the day with a 1371 calorie deficit with my jog. Tried some chicken broth around 3pm but I could tell I wouldn't be able to go to sleep without eating something, so I ended up having a salad with tuna and feta cheese and zero fat mustard/balsamic dressing I made around 6pm and then a couple slices of roast beef and some nuts. Still felt weird the rest of the night. I think the HWC should just be for a resting DD.

This!! I think we all do that to some degree. I try to help others and boost people who are struggling, but turn into a blubbering mess when I'm in the same situation, LOL! No matter who we are, results we don't like when we're trying so hard, are always going to be a little disappointing.Hang in there, you really *are* doing well, and it will show on the scale soon!

I've decided to go back to WLM, but at a higher DD percentage. With my experiments, I've found that I maintain beautifully on 5:2, and very well on TDEE - 15%, though I gain when I go over my calories. It does go back down, though, so those are both options for maintenance for me.

UD 1759/DD 616 at 35%

06/04/13 - 160.0 - DD 323 (higher than normal weight after an extravagant weekend)
06/05/13 - 157.4 - UD 1710 (plus a few uncounted nibbles of Keira's dinner)
06/06/13 - 157.2 - DD 346
06/07/13 - 156.4 - UD 1738 TOM
06/08/13 - 157.2 - DD 295 TOM
06/09/13 - 155.2 - UUAD 2500? TOM I got snacky and got into a bunch of stuff last night.
06/10/13 - 155.6 - DD tom

Well, that new low looks on-target for Onederland to me.

I would definitely be practising my LCG is on her way to Onderland happy dance if I hadn't crocked myself. and KUTGW

Hi gang! Haven't checked in since before Memorial Day. I went totally off plan the last week of May resulting in a gain of everything I had lost last month. This is the first time I've had such a struggle getting back on plan since I started LC 15 1/2 mo. ago. The good news is that I've been back on track since June 1 and have lost almost everything I gained that week. I have come to the realization that carbs will never be my friends so I have to keep doing JUDDD LC-style if I hope to remain successful. I also need to read Brain Over Binge to work on my emotional eating issues because I had a few binging episodes during my off plan week for the first time in a year and a half.

Congrats to all the losers! You guys rock!

June goal: 159.8

6/10 UD - 165.8

Starting JUDDD this month hoping this is the plan that finally works!
6/2 UD ~ 222.4
6/3 DD ~ 221.8 (398)
6/4 UD ~ 219.8 (1795)
6/5 DD ~ 219.2 (520)
6/6 UD ~ 219.4 (2400) Mexcian and Margaritas doesnt look good for the next day!
6/7 UD ~ 221 I hate to do 2 UD in a row but graduation party on Sunday and cleaning all day tomorrow so figure DD tomorrow would work best for me.
6/8 MD Family in town super busy but didn't really it tons just not a DD.
6/9 UD graduation and family so didn't weight at all this weekend.
6/10 DD ~ 222.8!!! I don't feel like I did too bad this weekend but I really think a lot of my problem is water retention. What are your tricks for drinking all your water and any other suggestions would be great!

Goal is to close in on Onederland, and get there this month or next. Continuing 35-50% DDs most of the time as long as it seems to be working. 1968-2225 UD/shooting for 650-750 most DDs, but up to 1000ish. May include some exercise cals if needed.

6/1 - 207.8 - DD - (1158 cals, burned 1268? according to my online tracker? 2.5 hr hike in hills. Seems high, but even if it's only half that the net calories are in the right place)
6/2 - 206.9 - UD - (1989)
6/3 - 208.7 - DD - (682 - 4.5 hrs serious yard work!)
6/4 - 207.0 - UD - (2071 - more yard work)
6/5 - 206.0 - DD - (695 - last day of yard work marathon)
6/6 - 207.7 - UD - (~2000 estimate - yard work heat + insomnia + water retention?)
6/7 - 210.0 - DD/MD - (? - probably 1000-1200 cals ... out of town. - more insomnia & water retention)
6/8 - DNW (out of town) - (uncounted, UUAD, very carby)
6/9 - 210.7 - UD - expected gain, but hoping to bring it back down over the next couple rotations as I get back to my normal routine.
6/8 - 209.5 - DD - Something didn't agree with me yesterday and I lost most of my DD food getting sick. I would have thought it would have affected the scale a little more, even if temporarily?

I'm the same way! I feel so confident when it's someone else and it is so clear to me that they should not panic. I try to apply that to myself, and I can do it in the short term, but it does get discouraging when you don't see what you expect on the scale.

I needed to read this today too, Cindy.

Oh my goodness! That is amazing! I shouldn't forget that the scale also surprises us in good ways, and this is very good news, especially after an up day. Amazing!

6/8 - 209.5 - DD - Something didn't agree with me yesterday and I lost most of my DD food getting sick. I would have thought it would have affected the scale a little more, even if temporarily?
I'm sorry Chris, I hope you're feeling better today! Sometimes a bug like that can make you inflamed and even heavier the next day. I bet you see the loss tomorrow or the day after.

6/10 DD ~ 222.8!!! I don't feel like I did too bad this weekend but I really think a lot of my problem is water retention. What are your tricks for drinking all your water and any other suggestions would be great!
I retain water like a camel, especially around TOM. Up to 6-8 pounds sometimes. It tends to go away on its own eventually, but sometimes having a liquid only day helps.

June goal: 159.8

6/10 UD - 165.8
I guess you, LCG and I are in the same boat! I've just gone back to Lowish C JUDDD too! I've done the binging bits too, I feel we need that sometimes but you have the right attitude "been there done that, now get back to work"

I'll be happy if I go below 155!
05/31 162.4 UD 1755

06/01 161.8 DD 542 (1 hr of swimming/water treading - too hot for walking)
06/02 159.6 UD 1752
06/03 161.2 DD 557 (9.09 Miles walk in 2:26 Hrs. too hot!)
06/04 159.6 UD 1498 (1 hr of swimming/water treading)
06/05 162.2 DD 546 (9.4 miles in 2:07 Hrs, still hot at 8:30 pm! But felt great later!)
06/06 160.8 UD 1644 (9.28 miles in 2:28 Hrs, little slow. muscles sore from yesterday's IWJ)
06/07 162.0 DD 367 (too bloody hot - so decided to skip walking)
06/08 160.8 UD 1289 (started doing Lowish Carb & Cal)
06/09 160.4 DD 427 (9.51 Miles in 2:21 Hrs)
06/10 158.8 UD (planned Lowish carb)
