Re: getting sick. I have caught a few bugs lately, but not too badly. Keira brought home a stomach thing last week. She had it for several days, and it only hit me for one afternoon, so my immunity's not totally shot.

Thanks everyone. I finally got rid of the extra from my crazy weekend a couple of weeks ago and am entering new territory. Yippee!

I'm continuing my maintenance break (started May 25). My goals for this month are to maintain and to introduce back some exercise such as cycling.

June 12: Well, I need to revise my goals. I can stay in maintenance but the kayaking injury means the cycling won't happen. So, I need a new plan.

I've decided to go back to WLM, but at a higher DD percentage. With my experiments, I've found that I maintain beautifully on 5:2, and very well on TDEE - 15%, though I gain when I go over my calories. It does go back down, though, so those are both options for maintenance for me.

Goal is to close in on Onederland, and get there this month or next. Continuing 35-50% DDs most of the time as long as it seems to be working. 1968-2225 UD/shooting for 650-750 most DDs, but up to 1000ish. May include some exercise cals if needed.

6/1 - 207.8 - DD - (1158 cals, burned 1268? according to my online tracker? 2.5 hr hike in hills. Seems high, but even if it's only half that the net calories are in the right place)
6/2 - 206.9 - UD - (1989)
6/3 - 208.7 - DD - (682 - 4.5 hrs serious yard work! Negative cal balance according to online trakcker)
6/4 - 207.0 - UD - (2071 - more yard work)
6/5 - 206.0 - DD - (695 - last day of yard work marathon. Negative calorie balance of -807 according to online tracker. Probably not a good thing in retrospect.)
6/6 - 207.7 - UD - (~2000 estimate - yard work heat + insomnia + water retention?)
6/7 - 210.0 - DD/MD - (? - probably 1000-1200 cals ... out of town. - more insomnia & water retention)
6/8 - DNW (out of town) - (uncounted, UUAD, very carby)
6/9 - 210.7 - DD - expected gain, but hoping to bring it back down over the next couple rotations as I get back to my normal routine. Got sick
6/10 - 209.5 - UD - (1951)
6/11 - 209.8 - DD - (700, burned 329, net 371)
6/12 - 208.3 - UD - (2384, burned 421, net 1961) - 4 hrs sleep
6/13 - 208.6 - DD - (699) - scale is coming back down more slowly than it suddenly went up (probably my out of town fun day after that didn't help), but it's been coming down evenly and regularly, so I'll take it.
6/14 - 207.5 - UD - (2304) - hard JUDDD day for me.
6/15 - 208.8 - DD - (628 - 207 burned, net 421) - all HWC + 1 avocado.
6/16 - 206.7 - UD - (out of town, no calorie info)

Looks like Im starting over yet again. I had to leave for NC for an emergency Sunday morning. My daughter in law called us at 1:30 am to tell us she found my son unresponsive. A mothers worse night mare for sure. He was put into ICU and every test know to man was ran and they didnt find any reason for what happen to my son.....He is back at his home in NC and is doing good.....We did find out that he is a very healthy person....God is so wonderful...

So now its time for me to get back on track and get this weight off.

I've been trying to stretch my UD calories as high as I dare. I want to feel not at all restricted on UDs, plus keep my metabolism humming at the highest possible levels. And I like to "shock" my body every now and then with several hundred higher UDs. But I think between my restaurant lunch and doing this, I'm paying the price this morning. No worries. It's all in the name of experimentation!

I'm seeing lots of nice drops and lots of small post-UDs bounces and maintaining. WTG everyone!
