Goal is to close in on Onederland, and get there this month or next. Continuing 35-50% DDs most of the time as long as it seems to be working. 1968-2225 UD/shooting for 650-750 most DDs, but up to 1000ish. May include some exercise cals if needed.

6/1 - 207.8 - DD - (1158 cals, burned 1268? according to my online tracker? 2.5 hr hike in hills. Seems high, but even if it's only half that the net calories are in the right place)
6/2 - 206.9 - UD - (1989)
6/3 - 208.7 - DD - (682 - 4.5 hrs serious yard work! Negative cal balance according to online trakcker)
6/4 - 207.0 - UD - (2071 - more yard work)
6/5 - 206.0 - DD - (695 - last day of yard work marathon. Negative calorie balance of -807 according to online tracker. Probably not a good thing in retrospect.)
6/6 - 207.7 - UD - (~2000 estimate - yard work heat + insomnia + water retention?)
6/7 - 210.0 - DD/MD - (? - probably 1000-1200 cals ... out of town. - more insomnia & water retention)
6/8 - DNW (out of town) - (uncounted, UUAD, very carby)
6/9 - 210.7 - DD - expected gain, but hoping to bring it back down over the next couple rotations as I get back to my normal routine. Got sick
6/10 - 209.5 - UD - (1951)
6/11 - 209.8 - DD - (700, burned 329, net 371)
6/12 - 208.3 - UD - (2384, burned 421, net 1961) - 4 hrs sleep
6/13 - 208.6 - DD - (699) - scale is coming back down more slowly than it suddenly went up (probably my out of town fun day after that didn't help), but it's been coming down evenly and regularly, so I'll take it.
6/14 - 207.5 - UD - (2304) - hard JUDDD day for me.
6/15 - 208.8 - DD - (628 - 207 burned, net 421) - all HWC + 1 avocado.
6/16 - 206.7 - UD - happy with this, but would love to see a new low soon ... although I should probably try to be content with inches lost.

June 12: Well, I need to revise my goals. I can stay in maintenance but the kayaking injury means the cycling won't happen. So, I need a new plan.

I've decided to go back to WLM, but at a higher DD percentage. With my experiments, I've found that I maintain beautifully on 5:2, and very well on TDEE - 15%, though I gain when I go over my calories. It does go back down, though, so those are both options for maintenance for me.

06/04/13 - 160.0 - DD 323 (higher than normal weight after an extravagant weekend)
06/05/13 - 157.4 - UD 1710 (plus a few uncounted nibbles of Keira's dinner)

06/08/13 - 157.2 - DD 295 TOM
06/09/13 - 155.2 - UUAD 2500? TOM I got snacky and got into a bunch of stuff last night.

Thank you! My goal before I leave is to find a new bathing suit!!! Mine from last year was too big. We are going to see where my grandma grew up (middle of nowhere). I have never been there, so I am excited. I am planning on doing a little hiking type stuff up there, so not as lazy as this weekend was. Hoping that will help me not gain as much.

p.s. This might help somebody else out there. The scale can lie. We know this, right? So if I was counting only on the scale to let me know how I was doing, I would be pretty . On 6/6 the scale went up after a DD on which, if my calculator was right, I had a -807 net calorie balance. Then the next day a huge jump up for no reason. Then I went out of town and had a high DD and a no count day (probably UUAD), and the scale has been SO slow in coming back down. My point though is: although the scale is unfriendly, I know I never ate enough calories to gain in any week. I never had a 3,500 calorie excess. So I measured yesterday, and found out that I've lost 1/2 inch off my waist and tummy and 3/4 inch off my upper arm since the beginning of the month! Measurements are a good thing.
This is so true I can get lost in the UD DD numbers and feel like a failure. But in the overall picture I know I am eating less calories than before on my UD and I know I am making better choices because when I started actually counting every item I ate I was shocked at the amount of calories I was easily consuming in a day.

Assuming that you didn't really eat an excess of approx. 25,000kcals during that time then fingers crossed that that water weight sploshes away in a timely manner.
