UD Thursday: menu and plans
Gym tonight so lots of hurrying and dashing about.

B: cauliflower egg bake (140kcals) with sardines (120kcals) and hot sauce (10kcals). total=270kcals

L: roast tomato soup (160kcals) with Laughing Cow wedges (50kcals). total=210kcals

D: cashew nut curry and charred aubergine over riced cauliflower. Total=420kcals

Running total of 900kcals which gives me room for potato starch supplementation, a pre-gym glucomannan shake snack, and some cheese after dinner.

WOO! I made it to my first UD! It woke up thinking about what I could eat today on my diet and realized I could have what I wanted modestly. Weird feeling.

B: 2 eggs and toast w/laughing cow wedge
L: Some chili I made up earlier this week before starting the program
D: Buffalo chicken wrap

S1: Hummus and wheat thins
S2: Green Smoothie

All that will put me about 150 calories from my UD goal.

KeirasMom 05-30-2013 05:24 AM

B: Everything bagel, cream cheese, coffee, iced tea
L: Banh Mi with Sriracha
D: ??

I may or may not make it to the gym tonight. I've gone the last two nights and kind of feel the need for a rest day, but my favorite Zumba instructor has been out (knee surgery!) and she's coming back tonight, doing a new class called "Fiesta Cardo Jam" and I'm interested to see what that is. :dunno:

Slow - sounds like a busy day!

OHCMB - :welcome: to the world of JUDDD! Dieting 1/2 time is an amazing feeling.

Dawn, nothing like an instructor to motivate you!

Scarlett - You menu sounds YUMMY!

Me, it's BOOK CLUB NIGHT! Love every other Thursday! Finishing up our current book and starting a new one. Love that too!

B- 2 eggs, waffle
S - protein granola bar
L - taco salad (NO CHIPS)
D - not sure, we are at a local PUB, I plan to have over 1000c to use.

I can feel the positive energy in the group today! :jumpjoy: woo hoo!

Ohcmb-- :welcome: ! It's very exciting, and maybe a bit scary, to be able to eat whatever you want (though you do sorta have to limit quantities...). What will you choose??? ;)

Dawn-- I just love your menus and stats. I'll be interested to hear how the class goes!

Dudes-- *everyone's* menus look yummy to me!!! :yummy:

Monica-- what book are you reading?

Me :)

I've not eaten anything yet. Here's my plan for the day:

B: 2 XL eggs (dh bought them, they all seem to have double yolks), and a pumpernickle bagel, light cream cheese

L: maybe tuna, bit of mayo, mini cucumbers

D: do you guys have those giant, fresh, hamburgers at costco? they're like 12 in a pack? I haven't had them in a while, bought some yesterday. I'm guessing 1 is like 10oz? it's 85% lean meat. So I can have 1, a slice of cheddar, and them the last of my "lighter" rhubarb strawberry cobbler, with some LC/SF vanilla ice cream.

So far, the day looks to be 1934, so I have maybe 100 to wiggle with. wigglewigglewiggle.

Someone yesterday said that they thought the ptero was helping on DDs and wanted to remember to take it on an UD to reign in the UUAD. I feel the same, and will now go get my morning vitamins :)

I second the "have a great Friday-eve" and add my own: Have a great Junior Friday! ;)

I might have a hard time getting in my calories today. I'm planning a good sashimi lunch, but that means I won't be hungry again before 5:00, and my plans for the evening are standing in line to pick up tickets for an event. I have to figure out what I can easily bring along to make sure I get a good dinner. Leftovers in the fridge: one piece of quiche, and some turkey nachos. And I've got a cauliflower in there that I could roast- that's good warm or cold.

LoCarbGal 05-30-2013 07:20 AM

Busy day today - glad it's an UD! Have a great day everyone!

B: Coffee/HWC
L: ???
D: Grilled pork steaks, corn-on-the-cob w/butter, gimlet
D: ??? maybe

Total - around 2000

sorenkkg 05-30-2013 11:03 AM

Sirtain-- what's the event? :) How long will you have to be in line?

Love the JUNIOR Friday too!

We just finished up Poison Princess by Kresley Cole (LOVED IT!) can't wait for the 2nd book to come out in October.

After tonight we will start I am Morgan le Fay by Nancy Springer! On the side I am also finishing up Once Was Lost b Sara Zarr. I am a TOTAL YA reader. I may be 42, but my heart is YOUNG ADULT! ;)

LUNCH ended up a can of soup. There was not enough lettuce for both DH and I

I am going to A-Kon 24 (anime) with my daughter and her friends and we are picking up our passes this evening. Last year we were in line for four hours, and only made it to the front of the line five minutes before they closed down! Thrills galore. We are going earlier this year. :)

Still rather full from lunch, but I forced myself to have the vanilla ice cream I have been trying to get around to for the last week. Such a hardship. :) And I packed the quiche.

Hi everyone,

Oh your menus soud so wonderful!!! Yesterday I had a root canal and 5 cavities filled. Not the most fun way to end a 16 day vacation. Still having a hard time eating today but just came home from the grocery store with lots of mushy food to eat.

B - Greek yogurt 160 cal
L- chicken corn chowder 320 cal
S- sushi roll (crunch roll) guessing 550
D- frozen lasagna (my italian born mom would be so disappointed!)
S- frozen Greek yogurt

I have about 1200 left to eat dinner and dessert so I may have to sneak some coconut oil in there to make it.

Librarygirl 05-30-2013 03:59 PM

I had a junk(y day. :D

B-coffee - 220ish

cup cakes (2) - 240, crackers (200), banana (100)

L-salsbury steak, mashed potatoes (300)

s-buffalo cheese curls (160)

D-2 pieces of cheese garlic bread w/garlic butter and marinara
2 slices of mushroom/onion/pepperoni pizza

I think I probably am close to my cals now, but not sure of cal counts on pizza or bread...still have some wine I am going to try too. :) Possibly a ice cream later. ;)
