Almased replacement meal shake
 
Have you heard or tried Almased replacement meal shakes? I have heard good things about those but I'm afraid of the weight coming back on if I stop drinking them They are quiet expansive. I figured I could have 1-2 on my Up day and one on my DD since it's about 240 cal per serving. What do u guys think??

I've never heard of them. They sound high in calories though.

There's no substitution for real food. Just sayin. ;)

I've never heard of them but I have yet to see one that actually has much nutritional value. They are usually just filled with useless fillers, synthetic chemicals and stuff u don't need for an expensive price.

Maybe some homemade smoothies?

Here is the ingredient list I found for them and could find no reviews on several sites that do meal replacement reviews.:)

Other Ingredients: Soy protein isolate, honey, skim milk yogurt powder, potassium chloride, magnesium carbonate, calcium citrate, vitamin C, niacin, color additive, riboflavin (vitamin B2), vitamin E, zinc oxide, ferrous fumarate, manganese sulfate, calcium pantothenate, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin B1, vitamin A, folic acid, potasssium iodide, sodium selenite, biotin, vitamin D3, vitamin B12.

I've also read that our bodies don't "register" calories in drinks - that we're still hungry for solids - that is, sodas, shakes, smoothies, juices, etc. don't satiate you for long. I think that chewing your food fills you up - for example, I can't imagine eating a pound of raw spinach, but in a smoothie it would likely be not much ...
