Cold???

Hi everyone
So basically I have been following juddd for almost two weeks and have been feeling great, apart from being cold all the time. Does anyone else notice this?
Was very surprised on this woe too that my down days seem to be so much easier than my up days, am struggling to meet the upday calorie quota, if I'm constantly under do you think it will make much difference to my losses.

Cheers for all your help x

I'm usually cold on DDs when I'm about to see weight loss.
I've been frozen this week in northern UK!

If UDs are too low, you're basically doing a low-cal diet, with all the problems and drawbacks that will ensue.

DD cals are so restricted, it makes sense to try to nourish your body as well as possible on UDs. Use healthy fats for cals without bulk - butter, CO, EVOO. Enjoy oily fish, avocados, nuts. Chocolate!!!!! REAL yoghurt and ice cream .......

Are you aiming for 1870? You can probably forget about the 70 but I definitely wouldn't go lower than 1700, especially as it's early days.

Dear Lashes,

I felt very cold on DDs for the first 3-4 weeks, but now, not so much; some veteran JUDDDers report feeling chilly on DDs, so your mileage may vary.

I also find myself extremely cold on DDs when I'm about to see a weight loss. It took me awhile to notice the trend, but the reward is awesome so I'll take the cold.

I think being within a 100 calories of your UD calories is extremely important. You need to have the DD/UD calorie swing. I know sometimes it's really hard and you're just not hungry, but UDs are the days when you really get to enjoy what you eat. Take advantage of it.

Freezing. All the time. UD's too, but on DD's sometimes violent chills. I have a small heater at my desk and leave my jacket and scarf on all day and drink hot drinks, but still cold. It seems to be a JUDDD hallmark.

I'm cold-blooded by nature and am extremely anemic. I never get warm.

I'm always cold, by nature...
But I've noticed specifically, that my FEET are FREEZING on DDs! My hands too, sometimes, but I can never seem to get my feet warm, no matter what I do on DDs. Thick socks, heater, blanket, whatever... Just cold.

Freezing on DDs. Seems to be normal most UDs for me. It's already 100 degrees here in AZ, so I'm not minding the cold DDs now!

Yep, I was just thinking I was feeling cold (and of course it's a DD!) It is common, I get it especially in my feet and hands. I live in Florida, so I can't even blame the ambient temperatures (anything under 80 degrees F and I'm freezing my tropical butt off). It's getting to the point where I'm going to go put the Zumba disc in the Wii and do a couple of songs just to get warm! lol

That's good to know, I've been walking about with extra layers on day and night lol, I definitely wouldn't mind if it was a sign that a loss is coming... Fingers crossed.
Will start encorporating more healthy fats into my diet to boost the calories on my updays, never thought I'd see the day where I am struggling to eat enough ;0) juddd is bloody brilliant!!!!!!

Yes^^^^^ This exactly. Freezing all the time since starting juddd (in March of 2012 so I've been cold for over a year). I had my heater on at my desk and it reached almost 80 degrees today!!!!

My toes and fingers are almost always cold. Sometimes it's almost unbearable in the winter. So far it's been welcome this spring. I used to be ready to die when it got over 80 degrees. So far I'm loving the heat! Don't know if it's the fasting, the weight loss or both!

Cold here, too. I take it as a sign I'm doing it right! I'm almost at a year JUDDD, so figure it's just part of the package. Like others, I am glad it's almost summer! That makes it easier.

Yes, i'm cold too but i'm quite happy about that as i haven't had a single hot flush/flash since re-starting JUDDD two weeks ago - before that they were multiple times a day. I went to bed in my pyjamas and fluffy bedsocks a few nights this week :-)

I've had that weird metallic taste in my mouth the last couple of days too, even on an UD, the one i get when in ketosis. I'm not particularly low carbing, especially on an UD. Weird.

Same here. I sit and shiver. My co-workers think I'm a kook. My man is all the time telling me that I can't possibly be cold....that's when I reach out and touch him with my cold hands. He says a swear word and leaves me be after that.

That sound exactly like me and DW
Now she sees my hand coming near her face and starts backing up
That didn't sound good... but you know what I mean.

I work in HVAC automation controls, so we have all kinds of temperature sensors around here. Sometimes I'll hold the handheld probe by the sensor part. The ambient temperature is 76 degrees in my office, but my hands are 72 degrees. When the guys hold the sensor, it goes up to 97 or 98 degrees.

I've been fasting since I was 13. Back then I'd do it for DAYS, and one couldn't be colder...when your digestive furnace isn't running, you're gonna chill. I would either exercise a bit or drink teas....i love peppermint...or hot broth(actually bullion, back then). Really does work. I took my then 5'8, muscular frame down to 112...i don't recommend THAT, but warm liquids help keep one warm.
