UD Thursday: Menu and plans

I'm settling in for a migraine so I may be attracted to sweet stuff for the next 48hrs as I'm usually ill with depressing regularity and this plays havoc with my blood sugar.

So, my plan for the day is as follows but might gang agly.

B: cauliflower hash with onion and spinach (140kcals), poached egg (90kcals) and sardines (100kcals). Total=330kcals
L: butternut squash soup (140kcals) with seaweed and seed crackers (180kcals) and Red Leicester cheese (240kcals). Total=560kcals
D: goat curry (250kcals) with riced cauliflower (25kcals) and charred aubergine and peppers (50kcals). Total=325kcals

Running total=1215. I'm keeping the extra calories in reserve in case I need some sweets to take with pain relief etc.

I hope you feel better soon, SS. Migraines are so unfun, as I know you're sadly aware.

B: Coffee w/1 tbsp half and half; sugar-free applesauce cup; 90-calorie granola bar; and a Granny Smith apple. (327 calories)
L: Forgot my yogurt. Another Granny Smith apple; another applesauce cup; two light string cheese sticks; another 90-calorie granola bar. (322 calories)
D: Unsure. I have to go to the dentist today after work, so will have to wait to eat until after the appointment. Will see what I'm hungry for at that time, though I've been craving a bit of Lebanese food. No trivia tonight, so no beer for this girl!

For some reason, I feel like Spam this morning. This is not a usual thing for me, though we have one can in our pantry. I think I last ate some about ten years ago. (No, the can isn't THAT old! I bought it a few months ago, when I had a nostalgic urge.) So breakfast today will be fried Spam with eggs and greens. Then some cafe au lait while meeting with a friend, seafood fondue for a late lunch, and a sausage and shrimp jambalaya for dinner.

Good luck with the migraine, Slowsure. Six hours have passed since your post, so I am hoping you have made it through unscathed.

SlowSure, hope you feel better and that migraine passes quickly. I know how terribly debilitating those can be.

B: 2 cups coffee (120 calories), Hoodia Curb Bite (30 calories): Total 150 calories

L: salad (30 calories) with hard boiled egg (80 calories), sliced apple (40 calories), slivered almonds (60 calories), cheese (30 calories), dried cranberries (40 calories), croutons (30 calories), broccoli (20 calories), honey mustard dressing (120 calories) and a slice of seven grain bread (120 calories); pudding cup for dessert (60 calories: Total: 630 calories

D: cup of rice with chicken breast and green beans in peanut satay sauce: Total 550 calories

Total for the day: 1330, which leaves a good 550 for me to play with. Probably will end up being chocolate of some sort

Total 1751 kcals (target = 1752!)

Out to the pub in the evening but i chose the chocolate over the wine so will be drinking water only...

Total came to 1358 - which leaves me 42 calories.
