Just blew it!

I have been doing JUDD for 1 month and I have lost 10 lbs. Very happy with that but I just blew my DD. Ending up around 1300! I have been super hungry all day. Made some really bad food choices too!
So what do I do? Do I make tomorrow a DD or keep to my regular rotation?
I can't believe I messed up after a perfect month on this plan.
Anyway, any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Cynthialynn, this is actually a great opportunity to learn how forgiving JUDDD is. This happens to just about everybody from time to time and as a once in a while thing it is no big deal at all. You don't have to be perfect for JUDDD to work.

What are your normal UD/DD calories? For me, 1300 is pretty close to my MD (60%) numbers, so I would go ahead with tomorrow as a UD. If 1300 is close to your up day calories, you can make tomorrow a DD (and even get closer to your UD calories today if you would like to since it's been a hungry day). It's really up to you, and either choice will come out just fine, I promise. You're doing great! Do not under any circumstances beat yourself up over it. :hugs:

Hi Cynthia Lynn, welcome!

Progress, not perfection. Forgive yourself and go forward. Calichris is right ... JUDDD is so forgiving and flexible. We all eat over our calories some days, especially when we are hungry.

Congratulations on your weight loss. You've done fantastic! Smile.

Thanks Christina - you are very sweet.

I tried some light and fit yogurt this morning and it tasted very sweet to me. I'm wondering if that set me off in some way because I haven't felt this hungry in over a month.
I think I will stick to an UD tomorrow so there's no pressure then do a better job on the next DD

Thanks for your help!

Welcome cynthia! You've gotten some great advice. The best advice is NO guilt and move on. We all know that guilt got many of us where we are now (or were before losing weight). I will say that eating yogurt of any kind in the morning would probably set me up to eat all day too. I usually avoid any kind of food until lunch or later, and that seems to work best (on DDs). :)

What you could do:
1) Consider today an MD and have an UD tomorrow
2) Have today be an UD, enjoy something to finish off your cals and have tomorrow be a DD
What you should not do:
Beat yourself up or feel guilty about it!
JUDDD is the most marvelously forgiving WOE ever discovered! You did not blow it. You might, and I emphasize might, see a small bounce up on the scale tomorrow but I bet it will be gone with 1 good DD. You haven't lost weeks of progress a la Atkins or something similar.
1 month with no slip ups? You sound like a star to me!!!

Thanks Cindy! No more yogurt for me in the morning!

Thanks Yennie! I was amazed that I hadn't slipped up for a month. Been a long time since I did that! Thanks for all your advice - much appreciated.
