From Meat & Eggs to JUDDD - any experience?

Hey everyone, I am currently doing the M&E WOE, I am losing weight which is great but feeling pretty rough and I am absolutely starving.
I have been reading about JUUDD and it sounds really interesting and like something I could do.
I have lost 6lb on meat and eggs and I am worried that if I start this way of eating I will gain it all back.... does anyone have any experience of transitioning from M&E/VLC - JUUDD??

I was very low carb, very low cal before juddd and I went on to lose 65 more poundss!

Hi Kitty! I have been on JUDD for 6 months and recently started on meat/fish/egg fast (while on JUDD). It's has been 11 days now and the first 6 days were rough. I was really tired (atkins flu, I guess). Now I am feeling fine. Some days I go over my calories (usually on UD) and still manage to lose. Some days I have no appetite at all. I am doing a little bit different meat & egg fast than the standard one, because on every 6th or 7th I eat some carbs (keeping it low fat). This is called carb re-feed. I don't go crazy with carbs because I don't want to trigger carb cravings. I am currently on my second week so I only have done 1 carb re-feed so far. I am only doing this meat & egg hack for 1 month.

If you want to transition to JUDD from VLC, you may want to do it gradually, otherwise you might see a water gain (which will go eventually). Some people jump from VLC right into JUDD and they initially gain weight and than lose. I think by gradually adding carbs is a more gentle approach plus if eating carbs increases you appetite you have to watch for that. If you do it slowly you can identify the triggers. Just my .2 c

Thank you for your replies.

Wow - Carly 65lb is incredible, how long did it take you to lose that?

Tobelowcarber - are you keeping all your food on both UD & DD meat/eggs/fish then? or are you just doing this on DD?

I thought about combining JUDDD and M&E and doing M&E on DD so pretty much zero carb very low calorie and then maintenance calories of anything on UD.

Kitty- right now I am doing it on both days, but can easily be done on DD only.

I lost the first 10 on low cal/low carb. Lost the next 65 on JUDDD in about 10-11 mos.

I did 7 months on VLC (20g or less) and lost 54.5 pounds, and then stalled. That's when I found JUDDD and I've lost 56.5 in the last 8 months. They both work for me! When I started JUDDD I still kept LC and slowly added carbs back until by Thanksgiving I was eating whatever I wanted. I ate all the holiday treats I wanted (within my calories) and lost 9 pounds during December!

Well I just had my first weight in after a week of JUDDD, and I stayed exactly the same. Now that might not sound very impressive but I am happy with that. Prior to JUDDD, I was eating very low carb, moderate protein and high fat. I then had a weekend at the coast where I didn't diet AT ALL lol. I ate whatever I wanted, we were at the coast and I had ice cream, a sausage sandwich and fish and chips!

I then started on the Monday with JUDDD and I didn't weigh myself. I knew that as I had come out of ketosis I would have gained a lot of water weight. When coming off keto before, I have gained an average of 5lbs just eating higher carb food even if sticking to a calorie defecit.

So after a week of JUDDD I was very very pleased to see I weighed exactly the same as I had on my last day of low carb.

So I must have gained a lot of water weight but lost some fat during my week on JUDDD (I hope anyway lol)

I have been primal low carb for a while, and am continuing it while I JUDDD. I find being fat-adapted make the Down Days much easier, so if you decide to go higher carb, you might like to get used to JUDDD first, and then do it gradually.
