New to JUDDD. Need help with outrageously loud growling stomach!

I fell off my IF wagon about two years ago, though it had kept me super thin and happy for a few years. Stress eating got the best of me when I lost my job in 2011 and here I am, chunkier than I like to be.

I'm working FT now in an office that I share (ugggg). I thought about going back to IF, but I have a VERY noisy stomach and it seriously became an issue as I'd fast during the day.

I've been doing JUDDD for about a week and so far I love it. I have great will power and really no desire to even go back entirely to low carb, so I think this will work for me.

My problem, though, is as I stated above - my growling stomach. I am not kidding when I say my office-mate can hear my stomach growling across the room. How can I quiet my stomach without eating?
40-years-old - 5' with a good deep breath.

Starting IF - 08/18/08
Re-start with JUDDD - 5/8/13.

Have you tried a 32 jug of water? That works for me.

I have tried water - and when I drink a lot on an empty stomach, I end up with a gurgling stomach, rather than a growling one.

My initial thought is that this will be temporary.

But at least for now, could you schedule your calories so that your stomach has something to work on at a couple times through the work day. For instance, no breakfast and no supper, but dividing your planned calories between brunch (letting your stomach tell you when that is!) and an early afternoon mini-meal. If work keeps you at desk only without a break room, etc., the shakes Dr. Johnson recommends at first would work well like this, as would many different bars, also a sandwich packed with a cold-pack.

Have you considered a sound machine? You could put it on the waves setting near you?

Is your office mate really disturbed by your growling stomach??? We have quite a lot of noise where I work, but surely a growling stomach is not that disruptive. I would hope she would excuse that if she knows you are trying to drop a few pounds. I think it will be temporary since my stomach rarely growls anymore and I fast until 9pm on DDs and 6pm on UDs. If you feel embarassed by it, try not to. It's a human body sound and not one to feel badly about.

I agree with Carly!

It's your colleague's problem not yours. Your digestive system could be doing much worse things than growling ......

I just realised my stomach doesn't growl loudly with hunger any more. It used to be a source of great merriment for those within earshot. More JUDDD magic!

I agree with Flossy. You could be making other sounds that are accompanied with olfactory implications.......
Or maybe turn on some low music?
