Books???

I have "The Alternate-Day Diet" book (J.B. Johnson) and "The FastDiet" (Michael Mosley) - is there any new information in the "5:2 Diet" (Kate Harrison)? In other words, is it worth buying or is it just more of the same????

Thanks!

Michael Mosley book came out after Kate Harrison. Kate's book is based of her watching Michael Mosley Horizon program then following his advice (Mosley).

I read her book via Amazon Prime as it can be borrowed if you are a Prime member. As Beth says, it's how the diet worked for her after watching the Horizon program. It is a food diary in parts, research she did in others, and some food ideas as well.

Probably not essential if you have the info already.
However, I really enjoyed reading Kate Harrison's book. I actually felt a bit disappointed with Mosley's book!
Kate's diary is entertaining and realistic. She slips up occasionally and tweaks 5:2 when necessary. Some of the recipe ideas are really good.
She put a free downloadable list of the references as links on her website, so you don't have to type them all in yourself. Very thoughtful! See the5-2dietbook.

At $2.99 (Kindle-version) I decided to buy the book - am enjoying it but only part of the way through, will likely finish tonight. I like reading how others have managed to incorporate this WOE into their lives...
