Just one more Monday zipp? Wow!!! I am I mourning of losing my DDs beloved 3rd grade teacher soon. I do love summer vaca though!

Cold but sunny here in Michigan. Looking forward to warmer temps again this week!!!

As for JUDDD, planning to fast all day, just a bit of skim in my coffee this am.

zipp2play 05-13-2013 05:43 AM

Melinda, my DD11 will be moving to Middle School. I have been a huge volunteer at her elementary school for 9 years (I have an older son who went there too). There are numerous teachers that I LOVE and call friends, but I do believe a person can do TOO much and get too close to a school and that is what happened to me. I know too much the CRAP that goes on in the back ground. It is awesome for all of us to put that chapter behind us. In August I have have DD11 in middle school and DS14 in high school. So , secretly, I am also cheering the remaining days. Last day of school here is 05/23. I am off the 22nd, 23rd to run the 5th grade fun day / recognition on the 22nd (I told you I volunteer a bunch) and the 23rd to help with the 8th grade fun day! I think the elementary school is probably tired of me too! :hyst: Not sure who will lead all the events I have done......

Trigger828 05-13-2013 05:45 AM

one is to eat as late as possible in the day. I am going to try that today.
will hold off as long as possible so will be interesting to see when I do eat. shooting for dinner time.

4 oz sautee chicken, brocc/cauli mix, 1/4 cup alfredo sauce, 4T parm cheese (240 cals)
can of soup (160 cals)
salad if needed (100)

Flutter 05-13-2013 05:55 AM

Monica, good for you on all that volunteering! I do, too, but usually in my kids' classrooms in elementary. This year It has been 2 mornings each week and I have loved it. I have a few of my kids' teachers that have been my faves, but my DD's teacher goes over the top for her kids. I am going to miss her...and since DD is my youngest, I won't really see her in the future. It always made me feel better with my boys to know DD could still have their teacher in the future! Oh well...sure am grateful DD has had her. I am bringing her a gift and card today in fact. I hope I don't cry! LOL!

Flutter 05-13-2013 05:56 AM

Trigger, hope the tips help! DDs can sure be rough but you will figure out what works best for you!

Flossyliz 05-13-2013 06:00 AM

Good luck Trigger!

My Up Day yesterday did not go as planned, so I am really looking forward to a nice, steady Down Day. My plans are salmon, more salmon, and some greens. Maybe diet jello. :)

LoCarbGal 05-13-2013 09:42 AM

My maintenance break has my mind reeling a little bit. I can have 700-1000 calories on DDs for now, and it is both freeing and a little scary too!

B: Coffee/HWC (maybe 2 if I need it)
L: FF greek yogurt, maybe an apple
D: Hard boiled eggs, more yogurt if needed

Flossyliz 05-13-2013 09:57 AM

LCG, I recently tried doubling my DD cals from 300 to 600. It felt really decadent!
You must feel a bit like a kid in a toyshop!!

Planelman 05-13-2013 10:11 AM

B: coffee - black
L: chicken broth
D: chili
S: strawberries and some whip cream maybe

Under 500 calories.

Well, yes - that's NW Scotland for you. Or the East Coast. Or the West. Or pretty much anywhere in Scotland that's not in the warm Gulf Stream. :) (Oh yes, I still have memories of being rained on, not all day, but every day in some seasons in Scotland.)

My  melts whenever children do a countdown of 'how many more sleeps' until they go on holiday, or it's a birthday etc.

I agree with Flossyliz - it must feel like this. How much our perspective on such matters changes with JUDDD. :) Enjoy every bit of your extra allowance, LCG.

TryingJudd 05-13-2013 11:21 AM

B- X
L- green salad with a small touch of feta cheese and 5 grilled shrimp (125)
D - TBD - shooting for ~300 calories total

KeirasMom 05-13-2013 11:25 AM

Home sick today, so I decided to have a DD, which is good because I need Friday to be an UD. With 5:2, I usually do Tuesday/Friday DDs. This week will be Monday/Thursday.

B: Nothing
S: Black coffee
L: ??
D: ??

I'm just now starting to get hungry (11:30 a.m. here), but I'm afraid to eat anything. I have some chicken noodle soup in the fridge and may attempt it in a little while.

uggg...Wisconsin weather shifts as much as my calorie intake..... One day we are wearing shorts and tees and the next we are wearing our winter coats...Frost warning this morning, and they are calling for 80's tomorrow :hyst:

Today is a Potato down day for me...
3 potatoes with season salt, pepper, and hot sauce :D
Happy Monday to everyone!!!

KeirasMom 05-13-2013 05:26 PM

Thanks everyone. I ended up feeling well enough for my chili at around 2:00 p.m. It's 5:30 p.m. now and I'm not feeling the need to eat, so I'll end the day under 215 calories.

On the plus side, I lost 3 pounds from the time I got up until I was able to eat. I'm sure it's back on now that I'm not completely empty anymore.

Sirtain 05-14-2013 08:21 AM

Well, I had beef jerky and then salmon, and then just ran out of day. Ended with only 233K instead of 420K, which was a surprise for me.
