11 days on plan

started April 29 and boy I didn't know if this was for me

dropped 1.5 after my down day yesterday. Hooray!

I gotta talk about this plan.

I have to say I am falling into this routine (finally) more comfortably.

Last night I thought I am making a BAB (Big Azz Breakfast) first thing on my up day. I want food! this morning, nope. I am ok. I can tell I won't eat til 11-12. very happy right now.

what I love is I diet every other day. I KNOW I CAN EAT alot of food every other day. That is mentally important to me. At first my down day felt severe. the next day I ATE ALOT. mind games happening.

Realizing now that I do NOT have to eat a huge UP day. because even if I don't eat a big up day today, I diet for one day, and then the next I can have whatever I want anyway. I am not feeling deprived on this plan. one day dieting I can easily do. So mentally I am getting very into JUDDD now.

It is knowing I can have whatever I want within reason is what is making JUDDD very appealing.

No restrictions on my UP day means alot to me.

My down day just needs to be reasonably low to give me a good calorie deficit.

I am finding way more filling foods for down day to make it thru easier now.

Also realizing the minute you know you can have whatever you want, you don't want it as much

just chatting about it because now I am more comfortable. That means alot. I am not fighting JUDDD as much now and starting to go with the flow. Not sure if this will all change but right now I am getting in the zone and am going to work this plan. But this plan seems so easy and effortless to me which I like alot.

with one day dieting, I can do that. I don't feel that big need to go hog wild on an UP day anymore cause I know another UP day is very close. My mind is starting to finally understand this

I don't know but I woke up this morning after 11 days of learning JUDDD and finally it is starting to all make sense in a good way for me. I am happy about that!

So much about our eating is MENTAL or EMOTIONAL. I think you are right, that JUDDD addresses an important aspect of this for anyone who eats for reasons other than hunger. A day to wait is manageable, unlike the MONTHS that other plans require.

So glad for you that you are feeling comfortable with this!

I'm happy for you. I started two days after you - and I too am noticing a very comfortable feeling, knowing JUDDD does not feel like other diets I have tried where I would look at long expansions of time NOT eating foods that I like - whereas knowing IF I want a certain treat, I only have to wait 24 hours. My worst time to want to eat is in the evening. Now I tell myself that all I have to do is hang on to morning and I CAN have it. It's a mind game for sure - one that we have control over, IMO - if we change our attitude about it.

I agree with everyone! PRAISE FOR THE JUDDD PLAN lol

that is so true Goner. It is a short time. A doable time to hold off. Not like atkins before when I had to eliminate entire food groups until goal. goal is way off, I want some of those foods now WHILE dieting A mind game I think I can finally win.

Sirtain, months is too long to put some foods back into your menu. I agree. TOO LONG. I know I can't do it. I made atkins for about 5 months and just couldn't do it any longer.

I am really enjoying it, too.

My only issue is the weight fluctuations. I just have to keep reminding myself of the "bigger picture".

Michmich- I have found charting my weights, having both the daily weights, AND a two-day average on the same chart, is really helpful in the 'mental' part of dealing with the fluctuations. I make the two-day line darker than the daily line, so I have a nice, gradual slope, with a lighter line 'dancing' around it. You should give it a try and see how it works for you.

yes! that is great help Sirtain.

make the scale drops SEEM visually to be on your side. that is a part of the mental game I think would matter to many.

great idea. I am going to set myself up with a chart that highlights the gradual drops vs. the bouncy days. keep the eye on the long term prize.

I'm so glad to hear that JUDDD is really "clicking" for you and that you're happy with it. I'm new to this plan also (2 weeks in), and I agree totally with what you were saying...I had a really hard time with the restriction of traditional low carb as well, and knowing that whatever I want to eat is perfectly fine to have tomorrow is a very liberating feeling. And we're losing weight doing this! Yay for JUDDD!

I'm so happy for you!
