Dawn, sorry, you break your hip and didn't know about it for 3 months

Broke my elbow and didn't know it for years, too. I'm weird like that. I can handle big pain; I just suck it up and move on. Little stuff, though?! I can't handle infections or cuts.

Wow! Andy, so sorry about your finger!!! I know you want to excercise but with a staff infection it's generally good to stay quiet and not move a lot. It's a very serious infection! Hugs!!!

Hello, I have been reading and so glad I found this thread. I practice IF with a JUDDD type feel. I would love to come and post. I'm a daily poster and really looking forward to getting to know everyone. 502 cals yesterday! I couldn't believe I did it. I was freaked out by the 500 calorie limit because I did HHCG and lost a lot of the weight. After I got off, I can tell you that my mind couldn't/wouldn't ever go back to 500 calories. I did it with ease because I wait to eat my 500 cals until the evening. I had a little crash at 3pm and sucked on some hard candy to get me through the rest of the day at work. It's not the hardest thing I've ever had to do. UD today for me...I WILL definitely enjoy

Jennifer! We're always glad to meet new JBs. I find it particularly fun to "watch" new folks learn about JUDDD and begin to enjoy it as much as I do! Post as much as you want! We love it!

Here are my goals that I posted in my journal/blog:

I've decided to add a few mini goals to my plan because I am a goal oriented person at work and really at life. So, here are my goals with "prizes or gifts" to myself when I reach my goal.

1. End of first week goal (mani/pedi)
2. 10 lbs will be my choice of jewelry from my favorite website ($30 per item typically)
3. 20 lbs will be a pair of running shoes (Brooks are around 90-120)
4. 30 lbs will be new outfit and MAC make up day with sweetheart dinner planned ($200)
5. 40 lbs will be Spa day
6. 50 lbs will be mini vacation
7. 60 lbs will be my choice of designer purse

That's all I could think of at the moment I like the idea of a designer purse. I've never had one and think they make ladies look very elegant.

Welcome to JUDDD, Jennifer!

You've got some good planning done already! I like your style....increasing the reward value with each step. Great idea to keep you motivated!

I also do better if I wait to eat DD calories until later in the day.

Congratulations on getting started and welcome aboard!

Andy,I am so sorry about the finger. I am thankful you had a physician buddy who could help you out-- that is no fun for sure.

Take good care and let your finger heal well.

HUGS!

Thanks Kimmie! That's the plan. It took a few weeks to get into the swing of things. I tried IF before and failed miserably. I don't know what is different now. Happy days ahead for all of us. I look forward to seeing everyone's transformations

Thanks all!!! Finger is on the mend!!!
I also took all of your advice very, very, very seriously and did NOT workout last night. I did however have many, many UD calories worth of watermelon margaritas at HH instead.

Hi Jen Welcome! And Welcome to another fellow Texan!!! I am actually in Austin a few times a month for work. I love your city.

Wonderful! Andy I love Austin and do tell me about the wonderful watermelon margaritas. Wine and margaritas are my weakness. I tallied up my ud cals and they are spot on thanks to my bottle of wine! Woohoo!! Love the up's and look forward to tomorrow's down day.

Hi Vicky! My Daddy lives in Houston and San Antonio. Currently working in Corpus Christi. You must tell me about Oman. And I've grown to love Kissa's posts. So glad you and you mum do so well with this WOL. I am enjoying my DD with loads of energy and just keeping things down all the way as far as what we are doing. Just watching great films and playing with my two darling boys. DH just got back from the store. I refuse to go to the grocery store on DD's lol! Have a brilliant day!

this thread is too quiet. i'm still doing JUDDD, realizing more everyday that this is the only way to live. i have varied my caloric intake quite a bit, tweaked my carb counts, and i have finally comprehended that if one pinches calories here and there, there will be a loss. i no longer beat myself up over the head if i don't do the lowest JUDDD calculations, and when life brings on too many friend get togethers, I "splurge" with a day on JUDDD's upper end (35%) or just do a maintenance day of 1350 calories (about my average on JUDDD). the key is to just not have too many UUAA days and to remember that everyday is a truly a new day.

i keep a daily diet journal, which has helped me so much. i keep tabs on my hip measurement, which has been terribly uplifting when the scale hasn't moved. my journal has kept me going. i think this is so very important for those discouraging days. i lose in chunks, so without keeping track, i'd have given up long ago.

i'm 9 pounds from my goal of 100 pounds, after which, i'm going to stabilize for a few months. i would like to lose 10 more pounds for sure, and then maybe 10 more (and then 10 more). i'm almost in a size 18, which was my initial goal. i'm feeling better than i have in years, weigh less than i did when i was 11 years old, and completely in love with Dr. Johnson.

how's everyone else doing?

Wow, you're so close and have done a fantastic job! Be sure to let us know when you hit 100 lbs lost, so we can celebrate with you - it's a BIG DEAL!

It's great that you've made JUDDD your own and can tweak it and have it still work for you. It's one of the great things about this WOE that I absolutely love.

thank you ladies! i only have a couple of really bad fat pictures. i deleted them practically as soon as they were taken, cause i hated them so much. i've been waiting til i hit goal before getting an official picture. my 21 year old-never-been-fat-a-day-in-his-life son has been telling me to hurry up and lose the 100 so that he can get a picture of me outdoors. no snow yet, so i think i made it. probably not til this weekend.
