Flutter, some people I know started on a many as 700 or even 800 a day, some cut back and some never need too. That would be lovely.

FlossyLiz posted a while back to say that she and DH were about to go on a (too infrequent) holiday. I hope they're having a lovely break.

ETA: Found where she mentioned it: away until 28th. May Daily Weigh In

I told her I thought a few folks here had been successful with higher DDs from the beginning! I really hope she tries again and the higher cals work for her. It is so hard to start weight loss again when you feel like it's futile. I want JUDDD to work for everyone! It's the feeling that you have finally found something that not only works, but that you can live with doing every day that is so fabulous!

Well, I hope it's not just water weight, because so far I am only down to my lowest, *before* I took a break. I feel sure I will drop below that though, because I'd never reached my lowest after a UD! I hope to make it into the 70s by the end of this month (tomorrow?). However, I've been thinking I'd make it into the 70s for about 3 months now. I've not lost over a lb a month since Feb, I think.

How is this possible?

Last week I had two DD's and then ate freely over the long weekend but not nearly as much as I usually do. Yesterday I was up 9.6 pounds . How is that even possible ? Does anyone have an explanation for such a massive gain in just a few days?

I had something similar last month right around TOM and after 2 UUADs, and it was horrible! Then I stalled. I had a very painful TOM too, which is a bit unusual for me. I can only guess that it was fluid retention and inflammation. I'm back down again, and a week or so to go before TOM, so I hope it doesn't happen again. And I hope you'll be back down again real quick.

Time for me to 'fess up and face the music...this morning I had my wake-up call...up two more pounds after regaining the three pounds I finally lost in April. I've been lazy and having mainly MD's instead of DD's..during the last month I guess I've had only a few under 500 calories. And I was a'hopin' to see 170 to celebrate my JUDDDversary next week.

So, going to start checking in more frequently to keep myself accountable. I've found my JB's helped me when I started this woe, so will be leaning on all y'all again....after all, that's why we're here, right?

Right now, I'm doing physical therapy for arthur itis in the knees and back. We have a new fitness facility opening in the neighborhood next week and I've already joined, so will be going there at least once a week while I'm doing pt, and at least three times when pt stops...they have a pool, so I'll be able to keep doing the water therapy...that's the real reason I joined.

I've cleared out some of my temptations and will continue to clear a bit more...as I'll be watching carbs as well as calories. I feel much better on the lc lifestyle.

I lost most of my weight during the June thru October time-frame last year and have been waffling since then...lose a pound, pick it back up. Of course, the eye surgery from h*** didn't help matters very much, either. And, it's still not right. Got in my new glasses last week, close but no cigar...darn it!!! But that's an excuse, not a reason, for my not losing weight..I'm back in the groove and I intend to stay that way.

I'm on my way to lose the next 30 pounds...maybe 40 more?????

Oh dear, LifeisGood, life is not good with a big bounce like that. Rest assured it cannot be fat as it isn't possible to make that much fat that quickly! I am sure it will go quickly if you get back onto good rotations. Try not to let it get you down.

Hi Mary, good to see you with your determined hat on. Sorry the glasses still aren't right. We will be here to give you all the support you need.

Mary, it'll be good to have you back on here actively. And you know what to do and how to do it, so that's half the battle. JUDDD is always here for us when we need it, and so are the wonderful JBs! Onward and downward!

Hi gang, I was delighted to have only put on .6 after my UD yesterday. I wasn't over calories but I know I ate more chicken that I needed. It was a curry and I loooove curry.

So the magic works.

Having a day sorting through boxes of stuff that have been hidden in our cellar for far too long. Our old cupboards were removed on Tuesday and they fit the new ones tomorrow. A new broom and all that.

I'm back and I missed you all.

Had a lovely relaxing holiday. Just what we needed! DH slept a lot and I read several excellent books on my Kindle. I'll recommend some of them on the book thread when I've time.

Didn't think about JUDDD at all.
For brunch most days I enjoyed lovely crusty bread still warm from the oven, with alioli and local cheese and huge slices of tomato - and watched my waist disappearing alarmingly fast.

Oh well, my first DD took care of the first half of the holiday weight .......

There's lots of catching up to do on the forum!! See you around.

It's so nice to have you two English lovelies back with us! I'm so glad you both had such a great time. Cindy, I just love going through stuff and getting rid of things I don't need/want. FUN! (yes, I'm a little strange)

DW and I tend to have that problem, but we just managed to overhaul almost the entire apartment over the last 3 weeks. We have a bit more to do, but it looks nice and our upgrades make the place look good.

The wake is today for our client who was killed and I'm going to try to get there. I won't be able to go to the funeral tomorrow, but on Monday our agency is having a memorial for him and I will definitely attend that.

Having a relaxing morning before heading out for our 3 hour drive to New Jersey for the wedding tomorrow. We'll have a nice evening tonight and meet up with family tomorrow.

On the 5:2 front...down 1/2 lb this week. I was hoping for a bit more as I had 3 good boot camp workouts and 2 fasts this week, but 1/2 lb down is better than a gain, right?

Hope you all have a nice weekend!

Have fun at the weddings, I love a wedding, well, any party really...

Busy day emptying and cleaning the fridge and that led on to sorting my pantry... I was full of JUDDD energy, it was great.

Tomorrow we will be replacing all the things into our cellar, the finished refitting the cupboards today. Hope we can get rid of a lot of stuff.

Oh, and at last they came and took down the scaffolding that had been there since they finished painting the exterior of the house. SO pleased.

Do you know anything else you can share about the circumstances or have they told you all they will & consider the rest "privileged"?

The wake was yesterday and I went with another co-worker. The detectives on the case have interviewed a lot of our clients who were his friend, but they have not come back to us with a subpeona.

Yesterday we needed to have the police do a check on a woman who has gotten very psychotic very quickly, but refused to call since it's the same dept, so our department of community mental health sent a team to go see her so the police would not have to go out.

This is not a good situation that we feel like we can't work with one of the police departments in one of our biggest cities, but it is what it is.

The funeral is today and then we are having a memorial on Monday. Then the healing will really need to start.
