5/3 DD - 207.2 - 458 - 7.25 mile jog/walk
5/4 UD - 202.8 - 3408? - 6 mile walk
5/5 DD - 205.6 - 684 - weight lifting/cardio at the gym and then an evening 2 mile walk
5/6 UD - 204 - 2383 - Rest Day
5/7 DD - 205.6 - 469 - Rest Day
5/8 UD - 203.8 - 2589 - Weight lifting and cardio
5/9 DD - 203.2 - 440 - 5 mile walk
5/10 UD - 200.8 - 2700 (used google and panda express for the calories for the Chinese food), only 30 minutes of walking
5/11 DD - 201.4 - 481 - 1028 calories burned at the gym according to my heart rate monitor, 35 minutes elliptical and 45 minutes weight lifting
5/12 UD - 200.8 - 3599- 7.6 mile run/walk, the fastest average I've had so far at 4.9mph, heart rate monitor calculated 1354 calories burned, but that might be off because I still had my weight at 215 in the app.
5/13 DD - 202 - 412 - Rest Day
5/14 UD - 201.8 - 2381 - Rest Day
5/15 DD - 202 - 387 - Cardio and weight lifting (700 calories burned)
5/16 UD - 199.4 - 2479 - Cardio and legs (600 calories burned)
5/17 DD - 201.8 - 819 - 7.3 mile walk (960 calories burned) Kind of a high DD, but I needed some extra protein.
5/18 UD - 199.4 - 3542 - Cardio and weight lifting (877 calories burned), so many carbs today, and wings .
5/19 DD - 202.2 - not unexpected after yesterdays carb fest and wings, rest day today, and I will be keeping it low carb and under 400 today if I can

Flutter - Thanks for filling me in on your DD eating (or actually lack thereof ). My DD cals are supposed to be 345 but usually range from 275 to 375. On work days I need to eat protein by lunchtime in order to make it through the day. I also rely on coffee a lot to keep my appetite in check. I wish I could totally fast like you do, but unfortunately I feel lightheaded if I don't eat some protein.

Recovering nicely although still rather ache-y. I very much appreciate all of the good wishes. Hoping to see my week 3 loss this week as this month has been up to the snail's pace that eventually cracks my resolve. But, I'm very interested in how well LCG and Calichris are faring with their maintenance breaks so am actively considering that if there isn't a drop by Saturday (and maybe even if there is).

Best wishes to all those who today and my heartfelt admiration to those who don't see what they want nor what they should theoretically expect but persevere/come up with a sensible strategy.

Well, after my first week of doing 4:3, I stayed the same It baffles me how I could create upwards of a 4,500 calorie deficit and NOT lose weight! And I kept track of my calories on my "feast days" and never went over 2,000 (may have been a little under some feast days) and never ate wheat/grains or sugar besides one small cookie from Whole Foods. I also walked briskly about 30-40 min every day.

I'm still sticking with it though--I figure my stubborn body has to let go of it at some point!!!!

Thanks Nicole! Six months in and I'm still figuring it out a MD is a Mid-Day. Some of us do a variation on the EOD fasting by adding a mid-day to the mix. I like to be able to eat on weekends, so lately I've been doing Monday-Wednesday-Friday Down Days, Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday Up Days and Sunday as a Mid Day.

Oh ok--so by Mid Day you mean eating somewhere between the 500 and 2000 calories?

A Mid-Day is actually 60% DD on the JUDDD Calculator I believe. For me, that would be about 1000 calories, but I make my Mid-Days up to 1150 and so far I show a loss after each one.

5/2 - 213.6 - UD (2300)
5/3 - 213.3 - DD (411-359 exercise calories burned)
5/4 - 211.2 - MD (1253 - 214 ex. cals)
5/5 - 211.8 - UD (2356 - slightly over due to cinco de mayo fun, but not too far over)

So I'm not going to look at the scale until TOM is well gone. Just a little mental health break, IYKWIM!

I am officially a fan of the maintenance break! I feel so much more relaxed on DDs. I didn't even realize how burned out I was getting until it hit critical mass, so to speak. And I've been losing, so my body was obviously getting used to what I was doing and needed a shakeup. My DDs haven't been as high as I thought they might, or allowed myself mentally. Just that little added freedom has allowed me to keep it in fairly good control, knowing I could have more if I needed it. UDs have also been easier to keep in control. Whew! JUDDD always has something up its sleeve for us!

I still do 3 fast days a week, and 3 feast days too. But instead of alternately having one extra U or D day a week, I have a mid-day. You still seem pretty new to JUDDD, so maybe you just need to stick with the normal EOD rotations for a while to see if it starts working? I have also found very low DD's help me lose, but everyone is different. There's such a wealth of information on these forums, I'm sure you'll figure out what works best for you!
