Not as big a bounce after the Chinese food yesterday as I thought it would be so that is good. But the funny thing is the food just wasn't as great as I remember, it was tasty but not everything I remembered. Oh well, at least I know I can have some and not see a huge impact if I keep the serving reasonable. I'll go back and try something different next time, in another couple of months maybe, and maybe it will be better.

I'm doing LC JUDDD this month. Possibly following PirateJenny's MUDDD tweak to make my DD's easier. And hopefully making my bounces less severe, because I get upset easily

Yay!!! so close to the next decade! So you'll likely have a little bounce up from the UDs/UUADs but it will come off quickly, so do not be discouraged. It might even be good for the metabolism! You saw 170 and it's yours!

Congrats on the low low
Enjoy you next planned UUAD. You will be back to normal after one rotation, or the UUAD may even jump start your weight loss (it happens to some)

5/6 - Hey all! Just wanted to let you know I'm still here cheering you on, but I'll be taking a break from the scale for the next week or so. I had 2 UDs (not quite UUAD but definitely unrestricted UDs) in a row, TOM is coming any day now, and I just feel bloated and puffy. My clothes are fitting but I feel huge. So I'm not going to look at the scale until TOM is well gone. Just a little mental health break, IYKWIM!

5/11 - 214.0 - DD

This is frustrating! I refrained from weighing this past week because I felt so bloated, both fluid retention and gassy! Had a bad TOM during that time and ate more than my UD calories but not that much. I know that I probably did gain a pound or so of fat, but the rest has to be water weight. But TOM is gone (almost) and the water should be going. I was getting close to onederland and now I'm farther away again. Rrrrrrrr!

I'm going to try a maintenance break of sorts too Christina, and 35% - 50% sounds about right to me too on DDs. Aside from tomorrow (Happy Mothers Day!) when I won't count, I'll be careful to stick to my UD calories too. I need the mental break, and I also think my body needs a break. I just hope I don't start slowly going back up! Let's do this!

I'm so happy and proud of all you guys that are burning it up this month!

Maintenace break sounds great to me! I am sorry you're feeling frustrated, though. It sucks to feel that way. FWIW, I seem to retain and/or gain until a few days after stinky TOM finally leaves...which seems to take longer and longer these days. I hope you're pleasantly surprised this week!!!

LCG- I am so sorry to hear you that you are struggling. It happens to all of us. I know that hormones can really wreck a havoc on the body and especially when we try to lose weight. Remember the water weight can take few days to leave the body. I think it is smart that you are taking a little mental break. You have done so well already and I am sure the diet fatigue must have kicked-in now.

5/2 UUAD - 204.8 - 3760+ rest day
5/3 DD - 207.2 - 458 - 7.25 mile jog/walk
5/4 UD - 202.8 - 3408? - 6 mile walk
5/5 DD - 205.6 - 684 - weight lifting/cardio at the gym and then an evening 2 mile walk
5/6 UD - 204 - 2383 - Rest Day
5/7 DD - 205.6 - 469 - Rest Day
5/8 UD - 203.8 - 2589 - Weight lifting and cardio
5/9 DD - 203.2 - 440 - 5 mile walk
5/10 UD - 200.8 - 2700 (used google and panda express for the calories for the Chinese food), only 30 minutes of walking
5/11 DD - 201.4 - 481 - 1028 calories burned at the gym according to my heart rate monitor, 35 minutes elliptical and 45 minutes weight lifting
5/12 UD - 200.8 - gym again for a leg workout

Ringamajig, I'm blaming the lunar eclipse! (It brings up hidden issues – like the urge to break our diet!!). I've had about five very hungry days in a row this week. Very unpleasant!

Christina and Chantal, everytime my body has settled around the same numbers for a couple of weeks, I've had a genuine drop in bodyfat, not a scale number. Get your tape measures ready!
