UD Tuesday: Menu, Plans

Countdown to a Bank Holiday weekend in the UK

B: 80g sardines (150kcals) with slice of egg bake (120kcals), charred peppers and dried tomato (40kcals). Total=310kcals
L: 50g aged feta cheese (120kcals) with 25g low-fat hummus (60kcals), celery, cucumber and carrots (40kcals). Total=220kcals
D: goat curry (I'm estimating it as 300kcals) with rice, sweetcorn and peas (170kcals). Total=470kcals

Snack: I had an espresso with 200mls of unsweetened almond milk (30kcals).

Running total is 1130kcals so I have about 100kcals or so which I may spend on an after-dinner piece of chocolate if nothing else happens during the day.

all! Happy UD!

Alright, I must know! What in the world is a bank holiday??? My husband is a banker and believe me, we have no bank holidays here. LOL! You gals enjoy whatever it is!

I'm on the count down to my girls' trip. Running a bunch of errands today before the kids' usual crazy activities this evening. Lunch will no doubt be out and about and I'm out of groceries for dinner, too! OY! Guess it's another up in the air day for me. Will stick to calories.

Happy Tuesday, all!

B: Coffee, 1 tbsp half and half; mixed nuts
L: ?
D: ?

Not sure what I'm feeling for food today. I'm not too hungry right now, so I will just play this day by ear and go with whatever my stomach is wanting when it comes time.

I hope everyone has an awesome day. So jealous about the bank holiday! I would love a day off so I could sleep in. Hope you girls enjoy!

Are you getting all your calories? Sorry to be nosey, but that's less than 900 calories...You would have to eat a lot of cookies to get up to 1800 (well, 12).

Good morning all! Slow and Gina, enjoy your long weekend this coming weekend.

Melinda - when is your girls trip???

Mama - I hope your tummy does well today!

Jen - I wish there were days I didn't wake up starving!

We have a "bank" holiday coming up in the US. Memorial day. Bank/governement and such will all be closed! WOOHOO! That will be here before we know it too!!! 3 weeks form this coming weekend! Then the 4th of July and Labor day. We got long weekends galore coming up! LOVE IT!!!!

Today, I celebrate the UP DAY that it is. Yesterday I was just HUNGRY all day. Hate DD's like that.

B - 2 eggs, waffle, cheese 280c
S - protein granola bar 190c
L - salad with steak, feta, strawberries, tomato 400c
D - not sure, it is Potluck end of volleyball season. I typically NEVER eat at a Potluck due to my Celiac. If I can't get to what I made, I will just skip and eat at home.

I have 1000c for this evening so time will tell!

That is my issue too! I never EVER had trouble eating enough on UD's. She's right Gina, be sure to eat all your UD calories no matter how yesterday's DD went!

I third that sentiment - I NEVER have trouble getting my calories in. Even 1800 calories feels like a diet day to me - oh well.

B- smart ones breakfast sandwich (210)
S - 2 small chocolates (30)
L- saladworks monteray chicken sandwich and a pickle (350)

Leaves a good 1000 calories for a nice dinner and desert if I can get through the afternoon without snacking. We'll see. I am feeling snacky but I hate rounding into dinner time on an UD without a sufficient cache of calories. Then I feel cheated. Feel cheated now with no snacks or later with no desert??? Might have to try and fool myself with some flavored teas or SF jello this afternoon as snacks. How pathetic.

I've been on LC for 6 weeks, so I'm kinda being a bad girl on my UD today.

Breakfast
Coffee with Coffeemate and sugar - 147 calories
Burger King croissan'wich - 470 calories

Snack
2 bite-size monster cookies I've been eyeing for a while - 80 calories
1 cup of nonfat milk - 80 calories

Dinner
Pizza - 710 calories
Chips to go with the pizza - 140 calories
Extra cheese - 160 calories
Nonfat milk - 80 calories

Grand total - around 1900 (2114 is my UD goal)

Six weeks without pizza - gotta have some. I'll try to eat healthier on my other up days but some days I just have to indulge!

I ended up coming in just 20c shy of my UD target.
And my roast Beef dinner was fab!

Feeling very positive today, my 3rd DD x
