Diagnosis?

Well, this afternoon I made some homemade granola (lots of nuts, coconut oil, stevia, and coconut oil) after it was baked. I put a few tablespoons in a small container of plain greek yogurt and I had a cup of coffee with ff cream and a pinch of stevia in it. I am all bloated and I have pain above my naval and to the right. I look like I'm pregnant for God sakes:cry: Not sure if this is IBS or what? I feel awful right now. It took like 2 days this past week for another bloating issue to be resolved. Lots of bloating...Wierd?

I think others on here will be able to give you better advice but my first question is - how often have you used stevia and has it ever bothered you in the past? I know that sugar substitutes can mess with some people. Also if the granola is way more fiber than you are used to, that could do it.

Oh no! I'm sorry you're bloated. :( Are any of these ingredients new to you?

I had about 5 cashews last night and this morning I was seriously bloated and my lower intestines did not feel great. I'm sure it was the cashews for me, so maybe the nuts you added to the granola :dunno:

It could also be the fats in the coconut oil & nuts coming off potato days. I know when I do potato days I have to be really careful adding back in fats, even "good" fats, because my body gets pretty upset. I get bloated and my tummy pokes out...farther than usual ;)

My hubby said lay off the nuts too :( I wonder if I have a gut issue tho, and wonder if l-glutamine would help that? Anyone have advice on that and how much. I have some here, powdered form, so maybe I could include that. as far as stevia goes, I have been using it strickly for about 4 months. Interesting with the potato hack and introducing fats. Hmmmm...yes, it seems to happen after those days...hmmm...

MTM,
I wrote about my experience reintroducing fats after a 7 day PH on the Paleo potato thread. You can check it out there...it wasn't pleasant...
