UD Thursday: menu and plans

Gym tonight which always makes it tricky to time the meals. However, if this migraine sets in, fretting about gym and meal times will go out of the window.

D: 200g smoked haddock (240kcals) with spinach, cauliflower and HM dried tomatoes (approx. 100kcals). Total=340kcals

I'm about 600kcals light so I may add some soup with added gelatine to lunch and make one of Flossyliz's chocogluc puddings for dinner.

Happy Birthday Andy BFK. Enjoy your celebration!

All the best/Cyn

LoCarbGal 04-25-2013 09:34 AM

B: Coffee/HWC
L: Grapenuts and FF greek yogurt

D: Wine, peppersteak stirfry w/cauli-rice

I'm a little nervous to have my beloved Grapenuts & yogurt. I used to eat this ALL the time with no "ramifications" but after I went LC about 15 years ago, any time I ate Grapenuts they gave me HORRIBLE gas. So I gave them up. But I love them! So, here goes today. Wish me luck!

Good luck with the Grapenuts. If a normal portion has an adverse effect, it might be something that you work up to tolerating from a teaspoon at a time?

Have a lovely birthday. :birthday:

My lunch and dinner plans went to pot because of this stupid migraine. Ho hum. I'm going to be about 800kcals short on the day but there's not much I can do about that.

LoCarbGal 04-25-2013 12:25 PM

So sorry about the migraine. That would definitely put the brakes on any plans at all. Take care of yourself, and feel better!

Kissa 04-25-2013 12:44 PM

Feel better soon SlowSure.

Well it felt like an UUAD, but in fact it comes out at around 1600 cals.

B soya latte and an almond criossant
L
S low fat frozen yogurt in a cone (in the sunshine in the park) :)
S cup of tea with a neighbour and 2 bites of no bake chocolate cookies
D 4.5 oz fillet steak, peppercorn sauce, 7 oz baked potato and a mixed salad with one glass of red wine.

And very nice it was too.

Silverrain 04-25-2013 02:54 PM

No trivia tonight, but will be heading to dinner in a bit. Still unsure of what I will end up eating, but I do know salad is still on the menu.

Happy Birthday AndyBFK!!! And good luck with grapenuts LCG!!

Everyone's menu's sound so yummy. I'm drooling here. I just got back from traveling late last night and had to be at work all day and I am, quite frankly just pooped. so I took the lazy way for things today:

B: 3 slices bacon on a light english muffin, a little butter too - 300 cal
L: cafeteria chicken pinto bean chili with a little cheese and olives: ~300 cal
snack: glass of pinot noir and Pepperidge Farms cheese crackers - a little treat for probably 300 cal

D: I think baked sweet potato, salsa, light sour cream and some homemade carnita's. with another glass of wine I think this should bring me up to my UD total of 1900.

Librarygirl 04-25-2013 03:35 PM

Well, I'm back. :D I was trying to do a MD to see if I could do the 3-day rotations, but have had about 700 calories since I got home and only had 400 to spare (for a MD).

I have about 400-500 cals left. May or may not get all of it in. That's new. :)

LoCarbGal 04-25-2013 11:21 PM

Just had to report in on the Grapenuts experiment. I chickened out and took a couple of Beanos with them, and absolutely no gas! Whoooohooooo! I can have one of my all-time favorites again. Yesssss!

That is such good news. Isn't it good to have JUDDD as a WOE that positively encourages you to embrace your food favourites that you feared you'd never have again (tho' usually for reasons other than indigestion :o) .

Kissa 04-26-2013 01:01 AM

Now you've reminded me about Grapenuts I want them too. If I break a tooth I'll blame you.

Librarygirl 04-26-2013 07:00 AM

Warmed grapenuts (with milk, in the microwave) are good too! They retain the crunch a little, but are easier to stomach (for some). I like them both ways. :)
