Need some quick advice please

Hi there, my name is Tam and I am new to JUDDD and I think it's a wonderful woe!! I came off P2 of Hcg 11 days ago and have used JUDDD to maintain cuz I hate P3 of HCG, lol. I think this is a lifetime maintenance plan  Although I do want to do the 2 week induction and continue fat loss if possible...

My problem is I did the UD DD thing perfect for the first week then on day 8 had a MD (of 700cals) then D9 was an UD then D10 I made homemade beef jerky and couldn't stop "tasting" lol which once the math was done turned into a 1,300 cal/50 carb MD day(is it still a MD day if my reg number is 1,800?).

So my question is what to do today to get back on track. I've kinda gone MD UP MD and I know it is not a good idea to do a DD after a MD but I am wondering if I should due to yesterdays higher number? I really want to activate the SIRT gene and I think I may be undoing the induction? It will screw up my planning for the next couple weeks to do a DD as all social events have been planned for an UD, but for the greater good I will. Not sure what to do in this situation, I have read a lot on here but not Dr Johnsons book I admit!

Any advice would be great, I am going to wait the 18 hrs before eating so that gives me 5 hours to gleam some advice from you wonderful people!!
Thank you in advance!! :hugs:

:welcome: Tam! It's great that you've dived in and are doing so well. What happened isn't a big deal. If it's easier to have your UDs where you've already planned, stick to that rotation. One tiny little "slipup" like this won't make a huge difference in the long run. It's hard to get past that mindset coming from LC or HCG, that one messup screws up the whole thing. It really doesn't with JUDDD! Good luck!

I agree. Continue with your normal rotations, so your social plans don't get screwed up. No biggie. :welcome:

You'll find JUDDD is very forgiving, you may lose a little more slowly after a 'high' MD. But you will still continue to lose.

Good to have you here. :)

Welcome Tam. I agree with the others' advice!

Welcome Tam!

What everyone said.

Life happens. JUDDD forgives.

Oh OK, that is a relief! I noticed I was up 2lbs today too, to 144.4 lbs which by Hcg rules would mean a dreaded protein day, although I do believe that food/water doesn't always leave the system right away so it is probably not a concern...

My concern is that this mess up was during induction, and activating the SIRT gene is such a wonderful and amazing thing, that I would hate to mess it up! But you all don't think I have caused it to stop activating? Technically I have just started counting UD cals after reading here that it was recommended and found I had been going over so I wasn't surprised that I hadn't lost any weight yet, just as long as that skinny gene gets activated!! I really appreciate all your support and quick responses, I love this board!!!

Tamra, you may or may not have "messed up" the sirt gene, but it gets reactivated just by doing another DD or two. It's not a problem and you will begin losing soon too, I'm sure.:welcome: The daily bounce up and down is part of this WOE too. I typically go up 2 lbs after a UD, but the general trend is downward over weeks and months. :)

Lol now that I have waited all day to eat and had kinda rearranged my plans (like saving cupcakes from weds til thurs or moving a sat dinner to this sat instead of next) I am rethinking this might be a good DD. Fickle huh?

If one wanted to make every Saturday an UD, how would it be best to structure?
M UD
T DD
W UD
Th DD
F MD
S UD
Sun DD
Does that make sense?
Would it still activate the SIRT or best to wait til off induction?

That schedule would work. I personally hate MDs and found that they stalled me, but for others MDs work amazingly well. You'll just have to try it out.

Hi Tamra :hiya: I'm was definitely excited to see that someone is doing JUDDD immediately following P2. I'm currently in P2 and hope to transition to JUDDD as maintenance in about a week. I've heard negative things about doing it so other than the past few days that you were talking about.. have you found that you've maintained ok otherwise on JUDDD?

Thanks!
Jenny
