TryingJudd that's so many mid-days! Would it result in too few calories over a course of a week or month?

I know DeeDee. It sucks but I NEED to lose and I WANT the Sirt benefits. I can't seem to find the combo that gives me the up/down action to create Sirt benefits and also moves the scale. I really haven't given the 3 day a fair trial. I did it successfully for 6-7 rotations and lost well (and was over the moon) then did it successfully for another 6-7 rotations and lost nothing. It has been tweak after tweak since. ugh. Maybe I should just go back to the 3 day and let it ride there.... I just don't know.

You could try alternating the 3-day rotations with regular eod whenever the 3-day stops working. And then when eod stops you losing, go back to 3-day? It seems like the shake up might be what helped the scale get moving again, and in this way you can keep shaking it up whenever you're stalled. Maybe try that before resorting to all those mid-days? I think those would be hard to do (so few calories!) and also maybe lower your metabolism.

I hope you find what works for you long-term and that it's not too difficult!

It seems counterintuitive, but sometimes a 5:2 week every now and then gets things moving down again, after you go back to eod. I took 5 days off last week and went down a lb under my low (that would go any further for 2 months) after 1 DD.

TJ, I'm rooting for you. As you know I'm experimenting too, so I am really hesitant to question anyone else's experiment, but I think you've been doing really well with the three day rotation. You had such amazing results at first that it's not surprising that you didn't show an additional loss for the next 6-7 rotations (you mean 6-7 days, right? I've had great months on JUDDD where all the scale drops happened in one or two weeks out of the month).

I'm a little concerned too that there is a risk your new plan might be too low in calories. You are wanting to keep the sirt benefits, but I'm wondering if only one day a week is enough of a calorie swing to preserve the sirts, your metabolism, and just your ability to stick with the plan.

Based on what you've written here, I think you might be on to something when you say you may not have given the three day a fair trial. My gut feeling is that if you kept at it as you had before that you would be really likely to see a loss the next week.

You've been so patient for so long that if I were you I'd be scared the scale is going to stop moving again, but 6-7 days is not enough to make that call, really. And I know you've had to switch up your schedule for events, too. I support you! You are doing great.

p.s. I also am a fan of the BUDDD's ideas to alternate between 2 day and 3 day or even a 5:2 here and there.

I will continue to mix it up but am wary of 5:2. When I tried it for a week or so I gained weight. This week has been DD-MD-DD so far. I will slip in an UD tomorrow and see if I can move the four pounds I picked up over the weekend and haven't dislodged yet.

That is annoying!
You know, though that there is no possible way you ate 14,000 (3,500 x 4) calories above your maintenance calories, so it is NOT FAT. Impossible.
