Well done for battling through Pat. Fluids always help me if I am hungry.

I am doing fine so far, just water and I have been to the gym. Going to make a coffee now and planning some fish later.

Holy cow, 730and I'm at 450! I think I might just go to bed!
Pretty good day. My trick of finely slicing veggies for salad really seems to fill me up. Maybe will make up for crazy UUAAD I had yesterday.

Great DD today. Came in at 613 calories. Super-easy with jury duty all day. Have to go back tomorrow as they didn't empanel the jury by end of the day.

I'm with you two. Very hungry! I forego the coffee in my cream, and am having unsweetened almond milk in it instead. Think it's time for another cup.

I had two fantastic DDs today which was awesome since the last few weeks have been all over the place. Today I have a wedding, but I intend to fast until dinner and keep it simple.

Okay girls, we can do this. I'd like to have a DD today where I just don't think about it all that much. Those are the best kind.

Lisa, good luck with the wedding today/tonight. I know you're going to wake up tomorrow and do a happy dance that it's all OVERRRRRRR!

3--a little more difficult than some. I had a UUAD Wednesday, but Thursday's DD was pretty easy. Then yesterday I went a bit overboard, and I think that threw me out of kilter. I'll make it, though, thanks to broth, celery, and those 60-calorie Eggland's Best eggs you can buy already boiled. 273 calories so far today.

Guess I'll go brew a cup of mint tea.

Just. So. Hungry.

However, haven't eaten anything yet and I have plenty of filling food in my lunch bag, so it's gonna be okay!

I'm planning on having a 5!

OK so far. Not hungry but I could do with a 'stress-distraction' nibble (Not for me, it's something professional for DH and won't be finished until later afternoon here.)

I'm planning to go paddling on the water tonight and hope it doesn't trigger my hands and arms to flare up and swell again. *fingers crossed* Water temperature is still cold enough that I'll have to pack 'hypothermia' snacks (I think I just need to accept that this is pretty much a constant in the UK ).

Me too, Slow! Hope your kayaking excursion was fun and caused no problems.

My DD has gone well. I have been very busy all day at work and didn't think about food at all. Tonight I plan on cooking 4 oz. of hamburger w/a salad for dinner. Hope everyone's day has gone well!

OK so far tho' I'm beginning to rue the day that I re-discovered how delightful Fage/Total Greek Yoghurt is. (It's not the nutrition that's the problem but the expense. I can only hope our current enthusiasm for it wanes.)

Lovely, sunny day which always helps a good DD.

ETA: thank you for the good wishes.

Had a down day yesterday; got to a new low today; really need tomorrow to be an up day cuz I will be at a pot luck for lunch. So, dilemma is--what should today be? I've had 180 cals so far. Have no idea what or where dinner will be, so thinking I can try holding out til then.

I have to say that in the light of the IE and HDE threads I've been reading, I know this sounds like a really ridiculous question. The other day proved to me that while I can pay attention to myself when eating alone, I cannot yet do it when socializing. So.....

I the Fage and got my husband hooked on it, too. We buy the largest plain size and add our own jam. That is the least expensive way we have figured to have it. The whole milk is our fave, but most of our stores only carry the 2%.

LOVE that Fage too! Especially the whole milk, but the 2% is great too. My favorite way to eat it is to add either True Lemon or True Lime (dehydrated juice in little packets) and about 8 or 10 drops of stevia per cup of yogurt, or to add six or eight drops of the raspberry chocolate stevia, and mix thoroughly.

Recently I've discovered that if I'm peckish on a DD, just a spoonful of plain Fage will quiet the hungry monster, for a while anyway. It doesn't take a whole cup or even half a cup.

Plain Fage is also great on a baked potato. What ever did we do without it?

Shops in the UK tend to carry both the whole milk and the 0 fat version for Fage/Total: if some stores stock the 2% then I haven't seen it.

We're going through a 500g tub a day. It has to stop.

Well, you'd be eating something anyway, and that, too, would cost. Maybe you could ease your conscience by considering it an investment in your health? All those live bacteria are good for your innards, and think what a lovely source of protein Fage is. Of course, I can talk myself into anything if I want to badly enough. Even chocolate. Especially chocolate.

I like the Greek Gods plain full-fat almost as much. The texture is very nice and it's usually super fresh. Brown Cow is equally nice, but also pricey. Trader Joe's plain full fat Greek is teh awesomest! I have no idea if any these would be available in the UK.

Oh, and here's something I used to use when I was low carbing: add a couple of tablespoons of heavy cream to any greek yogurt for a super creamy texture and taste.

I must try some of those brands the next time that I'm in the US - afaik, they're not available in the UK (not that I've seen and I have searched for Greek Gods).

My day's OK. Good for being untroubled by hunger tho' I'm a tad out of sorts (migraine induced by spring cleaning yesterday and big swings in barometric pressure today): the out of sorts-ness will pass

I'm already looking forward to my evening helping of Greek Yoghurt I'll try and postpone it until after this evening's outing which may be in a canoe, rather than kayak, by way of a change. (I need to practise in a canoe as our insurance for public waterways mandates that we should be proficient in an open as well as sit inside boat. Plus, being in an open should be less irritating for the migraine.)

Slow, when I've been in Germany, I've had the BEST yogurts, and where I've traveled in the EU, such good food in general compared to the US, where it seems to me you have to be very savvy about brands and restaurants or you get a lot of salt/fat/MSG/GMOs/hidden carbs and just stuff you don't want in general. Maybe I've just been lucky...?

Canoeing was one of my favorite activities as a teen and young adult. We went white water canoeing here in the south and up to the Canadian border for a week-long lake-to-lake trip one summer. I've never kayaked, though. I feel like I would just tump over as soon as I got in.

Slow, sorry you're suffering today. Your talk about Fage has me curious - I've never bought that brand. I'm kind of stuck on Chobani plain, but now will start doing calorie/protein comparisons by ounce.

I am so ready for this DD. Sipping on my coffee/hwc at the moment and I'm going to try getting through until dinner with lots of liquids and chicken broth if I need it. Maybe a nice big green salad with a little roasted chicken breast for dinner.

Hello Everyone
I love FAGE also. I didn't buy any this month because a lot of our budget for food went towards our community supported agriculture farm share box. Next week I will start getting delicious boxes of local, organic, veggies. Yum!
That will help alot with nutrition. Last summer we all felt so great eating that way.

Today is my first DD after a very carb, crap filled weekend. My body is definitely not thanking me. All the more reminder to take care of it!

Today the foods I can eat (will try to fast until bed time):
1 slice of cheese, broth with celery/carrot, 1 apple, celery with peanut butter if needed.
64 0z water and 1 pkg crystal light energy
iced tea with splenda

I can do this...Thank you Carol for your support also. Just a public shout out. I appreciate you

Mine is going/has gone well. I was delivering a workshop today - and although they tried to force feed us - and I have grotesque quantities of candy (I think that's the right word, I'd say lollies in Oz, and sweeties in the UK!) on the tables, I managed to get through the day without eating! This evening I had some tuna, with lighter than light mayo and jalapenos served on lettuce - yummy!!!

It was remarkably easy going without food - and I almost didn't have dinner - but in the end went for it!
