Did you use a recipe from the glucomannan thread or any of the shake threads? Glucomannan Recipes

I find that reducing the gluc powder in the pudding recipes makes a good shake. Or is the recipe not the problem but you had more of a clumping issue?

Stressful day. Had to fire someone I truly admire. Client meeting to discuss some difficult issues. Contract fights. Ugh. All I want to do is eat- or drink, or eat AND drink. I just want this day to be over. Not true. I want this day to be over AND the scale to be kind tomorrow.

This has been one of the easiest DDs for me so far. I think I'm starting to get to a point where my hunger is generally diminished, which is a relief. Definitely a 5 for today.

Pretty good DD here. I had 735 calories, which is freaking me out a little bit. But mentally I'm so much more content. I really, really don't want to burn out on this WOE, so this maintenance break is helping immensely.

Sounds like a wretched day. I hope that it closed in a better way and that your wishes come true.

Good to read. It's so strange managing DDs at times until you have routines and a reasonable idea how you react to them.

TJ, I hope things looked better in the a.m. today. I can't imagine how awful that must have been.

LCG, it sounds like you doing very well on your maintenance break. I took 5 days off, but didn't do any DDs or count calories. It was blissful, lol. Surprisingly I maintained at my lowest weight up to that point. I'm sure you will come back with renewed vigor, and maybe even more losses.

My DD is going ok. I'm up to 200 calories and still hungry lol. I can do without until my next planned meal, however. I will probably add about 100 more to my total and be done.

My DD is 4 right now. Ate some celery stalks and PB2 earlier so I could take my vitamins. Just took a long walk (because I was bored, not because I was hungry) and now getting ready to go to work, gonna eat before I go in.

was busy selling soap most of the day at a craft show so I am doing great. too busy to think about food and I took HB eggs with me. I ate three over the course of the day and had coffee with HWC before I left this morning. not hungry now and I just realized I forgot to take my ptero this morning. maybe HB eggs should become my DD staple.

Almost 10 pm here and I am very content with how this DD went. I was worried--- it started off with our church serving an open community breakfast. The menu was eggs, sausage, french toast sticks, grits, oranges and biscuits. (Yes, I am in the deep south.) Had none. This afternoon was a wedding shower and I had nothing but ice water. I had a few cucumber slices with 70 calories of cheese before the shower and my broth w/ veggie soup tonight, along with some deli turkey and mustard. Total intake was about 360 calories. Undoubtedly the 150 mg ptero that I took before the breakfast and the second one that I took before the shower helped me get through those two events successfully. Yay! Dare I say, a 5?

I'm beginning to wonder if mono-food DDs (particularly in maintenance) might be very useful for a number of people. (My DH is progressing well with his Adi Hack of potato DDs and I may well give him the option of HB egg DDs in the future.)

I admire your resolve. It's so difficult to avoid any event or celebration that doesn't have unhelpful food choices. (I was impressed by the oranges and biscuits then I realised that you meant savoury biscuits rather than cookies - being in the UK, I still tend to think a biscuit can be a little 30kcal plain thing...)

Sounds like everyone's had a pretty good DD.

Mine has been the best DD yet - day 16 since starting. No hunger AND i clocked up a tad over 30,000 steps on my FitBit, the most i've ever done in a day in the 12 months since i first bought it!

I'd definitely give todays DD a 5 because i feel

I'd say a 2 But that has less to do with it being a DD and more to do with TOM starting. I keep feeling shaky and thinking I'm having a hypo, but when I check my bg is totally normal, so I'm chalking it up to these new and awful TOM symptoms. Wanted to fast the entire day until I got home, but I'm already 100 calories in. At least the work day is almost over!

Yes, I make goat milk soaps and lotions and sell it to make money to buy goat feed and then we start all over again. Hmmm. They seem to be getting all of the benefits and I do all of the work.

And today was an easy 5 for me. I had coffee with HWC and a HB egg for breakfast. One HB egg for lunch and haven't had my dinner HB egg yet. Think I will eat it before I go out to do chores. These HB eggs are the best I have had. COurse my hens laid them so they are special.

I didn't actually use a recipe, I was trying to wing it, which was a big mistake! I will try the pudding recipe and take your advice to reduce the amount of gluc, thanks!

5 for appetite but probably 2-3 for other stuff.

This is my penultimate WLM DD for a while. So, the thought of that is lifting my spirits. Friday will be my last WLM DD for at least 2 weeks while I transfer to maintenance DD levels and think through some options and experiment.

I feel slow. I know some people hit a sweet spot where they can restrict calories and perform moderate-intensity exercise however I feel that (at present) I'm in the 'one or the other, not both simultaneously' camp.

I want to get back on my bike (typically 40-70km a day M-F with a century ride or so at the weekend). I stopped cycling in March and didn't reintroduce it because you're advised against it during the leptin reset. However, I'm not showing any other signs of leptin improvement as yet and I don't want to miss the Summer for cycling. So, for at least 2 weeks, I'm going to move to maintenance calories and introduce the bike.

I'm having a non-hungry DD, which is good. But I have a slight headache and not sure if it is work stress or my second day on ptero. I am less hungry than I have been on a DD (only started JUDDD May 1) - so all in all having a 4 day!

Each DD gets easier for me. Just back from vacation, no DD in 8 days. Today was a DD, I needed it. Felt it, needed it, wanted it. Wow! Had a great day. A latte mid morning, another coffee around 3pm, and some oat bran for dinner around 6pm. That's it, and honestly I didn't have to eat the oat bran - I wasn't hungry! This is so crazy for me. But I love learning new things about my body, and what it really needs.

5!

Easy one. Eggs again. I had never tried just eggs on DD's until last week and I can safely say now that I have no hunger or desire to eat from 6am breakfast until about 1:30 for another HB egg. One more egg for dinner and I am through for the day. Wonderful.
Make today another 5.

Today is going pretty well, I'd give it about a 4 so far. Had a little hunger, but some chicken broth helped. Tuesday's DD was more of a 1 or 2. I felt shaky and had zero energy. I suppose that's bound to happen sometimes, but hopefully not too often!

Pretty good today... Maybe a 4.7
Had a few hungry moments before lunchtime, and it's harder to ignore them when I'm NOT busy. I was going to try to give up my afternoon coffee (because I think the powdered creamer is making me bloaty), but I just couldn't... Having that, and some celery with laughing cow right now.

I'll have to see about bringing my own jug of liquid creamer to work.

For no apparent reason, mine is el-sucko today. The alarm woke me out of such a deep sleep this morning, and I feel like I've never quite fully woke up yet. Draggy, no energy, blah. I have days like this with the change of seasons, so nothing strange or anything to worry about. Just not too fun. If my pattern holds, I'll wake up all perky and energetic like normal tomorrow.

I did hit a new low this morning, by 1/2 pound. That was a momentary uptick in my mood and demeanor, I'm sure. Appetite-wise, I'm at a 5. Just now having my breakfast coffee/HWC for lunch. I did get some caffeine in earlier in the from of some iced tea with lemon.
