4 for appetite. I'm so tired that although it's only 7pm, I need at least a nap.

Haven't finished helping people clean up from the last floods and we're possibly due some more this week. Agh.

It will pass.

4 so far. I hula hooped (5 minutes only) this morning and had a Quest bar for breakfast. I'm a bit hungry, but brought cabbage soup for lunch. I have about an hour to go before I can heat it up, but I'm doing okay. I plan to walk on the treadmill tonight, so I hope the day continues to be fairly easy.

Having a great DD so far. I just made some sauteed cabbage with 1 baby bella cheese, shrimp, a little curry powder and old bay seasoning. Pretty good.

I'm about a 3 for hunger so far. (I had carbs yesterday --- pasta. I expected it to be worse.)

Am I the only person who gets really hungry between 4 and 6 every day? This has always been true for me and it doesn't matter if I have a big breakfast/lunch or not. It doesn't matter if I eat carbs or not. It doesn't matter if I'm busy or not.

I have learned to power through it or allow myself to eat something on plan but it never goes away. I think it must be my biorythms or something.

Anyway, just wondering if others have a similar hunger pattern that isn't related to when or what they eat?

My witching hours everyday since changing to fast 5 IF has been from 1-3pm..very strange feeling of like, I want to eat! But I don't other than broth, coke, lemon water. But everyday!
It's like enough already. Them 3 pm comes and I'm like ok, fine. Didn't eat my sleeve or anything.
In time those hour are suppose to ease up. I hope, I made that up probably... I'm feed well every evening..tons of calories. That's what I tell myself everyday when it starts. But those two hours I'm like not comfortable, like now diet coke bound.

My first DD since Jan 22 - so I'm feeling the hungries... I hope to hold out - let me rephrase... I WILL hold out.

I've had about 200 calories so far today - holding out for about 300 more for dinner. I can do it!

Hi All! It's a DD for me and a very busy one. I'm at a 5+ right now.

Had my annual check up and blood draw and pap smear this morning. My BP was 112/78. Not too shabby.

I was so excited that after yesterday's Super Bowl Sunday food fest including going out to our favorite club for brunch (Eggs Benedict, Home fries, champagne) and then snacking and then ordering a huge pizza and having wine with it, the scale was down this morning! Only down -.4 but still, down after an UD is unusual for me.

The doctor's scale weighed me exactly the same to the point two of my home scale. And I was wearing at least a pound or more of clothing. That was a curious event!

I hope it does not take too long to get the blood panel results back. I'm anxious to see how everything looks.

My first DD for some time and I have made it to 12.15. just time.

Off to the gym now and will allow myself a soya coffee as a reward afterwards.

I'll say a 4.5 for now.

And Yam-Yam, that is a real result! Well done.

Good going, Goner! Those first ones are so hard. We're on the same rotation, so when we meet up no worries about whether it's an UD or DD. Although UD would be more fun!

Yam-Yam, sounds like you did great getting back to DD after Superbowl. I love hearing how happy and satisfied you're feeling!

I was so relieved to have a great DD yesterday. I did allow myself 520 calories, lots of protein, and felt satisfied all day. I was getting afraid I had lost my DD mojo! And I really want February to be a good month. Whew!

My hunger meter is through the roof today. I know why though--yesterday's UD was more like a DD, and I'm having a hard time even though I had a protein shake at 5am. Only thing I'm worried about is getting done with work and passing all the drive-thrus....MUST...NOT....STOP....

If I can get home, I have a big bowl of peeled grapefruit that should fill me up just fine! I'll head to bed early if I have to, dangit!

I'm still at 300 calories for the day, but no more FOOD!!!!!!!! Just drinking lots of water and green tea for the rest of the day. wish me luck!

That can be tough to further resist when you've had something sugary like that, but you can do it! It might even be a good thing to shake up your body, which is used to zero calorie DDs. Hang in there!

Lisa, are you sure you want to do 2 DDs in a row like that? Sounds rough to me. Good luck!

From recent experience 2 dd in a row was bad for me. Caz like a nut I then started fast 5. Which meant I needed to wait until late day to eat caz I want more food once I start eating.
No matter rain or shine. But that was me being silly busy the second day of dd. Was an accident. Good luck

Popping in to check on all you downers. This is absolutely crazy, but I wish today was a DD for me. I had all kinds of ideas about what I was going to eat today. I haven't been particularly hungry for anything but I want to eat because it's an UD. So I've been just snacking on a bit of this and that and nothing really hits the spot.

Who would ever think that a DD is something to look forward to on an UD?

Hey LCG thanks for the encouragement. Not feeling hungry but for some reason i feel slimmer. Maybe like others have posted a few hundred calories wouldn't hurt on DDs. Is that crazy or what. Not hungry but not regretting that delicious donut. It's 5pm here in Northern California so i am going to make it without any extra food. Yay for Down Days!

Today is a DD for me because I had TWO UD's in a row!
Superbowl Sunday was my UD, I had fasted pretty much all day, I believe it was close to 18 hours when I finally ate and then boy did I eat! All sorts of things, brisket, brie and crackers, mixed nuts, doritoes, champagne, Ketel one and soda, hot wings, pretzels, ice cream, diet cream soda...ugh you name it I was munching on it. Then come Monday I was like, "okay I'm gonna fast all day and not even eat my 500 calories". And that was going well until around 9:30pm, I got hungry and thought, well I CAN still have 500 calories...and then I just kept going. Leftovers that my friend had sent home with me, reeses peanut butter cups, doritoes, more brisket...I justified it by saying that it was LIKE a form of I.F. since I hadn't eaten for 18 hours and I thought it was like the 8 hour diet! LOL! So today I woke up and said "This is ridiculous! I NEED to get back on track fast! You all know what a slippery slope one UD, turning into TWO UD's can be. Sooooo, I've been good! All I had today was a little bit of cream in my coffee, some low cal/low carb whole wheat toast with 1 tbsp Better N Peanut butter and 1/2 banana. TOTAL: 250 I still have 250 to play with and I actually bought some Shirtaki Noodles, the 0 calories kind. I have some laughing cow light wedges so I'm gonna have to search and find that recipe and try a bowl of that later if I get munchie feeling. I also went to the gym and worked out on the treadmill for 60 minutes. I'm hoping I didn't do too much damage with my two UD's in a row!

Man! This a hard DD for me. I feel like I am coming down with something and Tom is coming... I was so tempted by all the food at work, but I made it home just a bit over my limit. I have to take some nighttime meds... I don't know the calories in it but I don't care. My throat is sore.
