I'm feeling very BLEH today. Not hungry though, so that's a blessing. I feel fine, just a little tired. Not very motivated. Could be TOM lurking?

Days like this are pretty rare for me, so I'll just "tough it out".

Yes! Still doing well at 2 pm. I could eat, but I don't have that gnawing hunger that has plagued me in the past.

LCG, I hope your day improves.

Count me in the "bleh day" too. The scale is doing the bouncy thing and this always makes me frustrated. I'm going to have DH hide it again and just measure for awhile. I've done okay with dd/ud's and the critical part of me is not saying nice things. Venting here helps because I know you all understand.

I've read where some of you froth your bpc with the stick blender. Im going to give this a shot and see if it will jazz it up a bit and keep away the hungry monster until a late dinner. I've already had 400 cals today and I really wanna try and stay under 500. If I go over some I'll try and keep that mean voice stifled.

Sorry you're feeling "bleh" too Jan. And thanks, Cindy. I'm still feeling "bleh" but getting through the day. It's overcast here, which I normally love, but today it's got me down. Still not hungry, thank heavens. I'll be glad when it's tomorrow!

This is the first DD in a while where I've been really hungry all day. I'm hopeful I can just white-knuckle through it, but it's tough. Maybe it will result in a nice loss tomorrow?

I'm at about a 2 right now. grrrr.

I did very well all day, with only 2 celery stalks before I left work. After I got home, I had 2 more cups of coffee and then two eggs and two pieces of bacon. I'm at 485 and having one small drinkipoo. I will finish the day within 500 cals and that's perfect for me.

Shelly and Colleen - I am right there with you on the DDs! I have not had a good one since before the holidays. And the past two UDs have turned into UUADs. I do really well until evening and then the grazing behavior kicks in. No surprise my weight is up higher than what it was before Christmas. I feel so discouraged and really struggle to get back on track. I come here every day and read, hoping that other's enthusiasm and success will inspire me.

Here's hoping we find that sweet spot again.

Bad DDs are better than consecutive UDs. Hang in, everybody. Maybe we're all still withdrawing after holidays.
I'm living proof that fast five-ing doesn't work for everybody.
I had a great birthday week of excessive fast 5-ing and am so, so, so happy to be eating cabbage today. That's it so far - cabbage. I'll do an egg or two if I get desperate, but I rarely get desperate on DDs.
This one is a 5+ so far.

I think the bad DD's stem from the holiday withdrawal and weather. Things will get better.

I ended up having a MD yesterday due to chocolate cake and a sandwich. I wasn't disappointed because sometimes life happens, but I do have to weigh in next Sunday so I'm freaking out a bit.

I feel ya, Carly. I'm tired and will probably not move all that much--however, cleaning does call me...possibly clean out fridge, but dread it. It's way overdue!

So far, so good this DD.

4+ on the hunger part of this DD. It's not even 10:30 in the morning yet, though, and I have a nasty cold.

Good excuse to stick with hot chicken broth and tea.

I'm extra motivated to have a great DD because the scale only bounced up .2 from yesterday morning and that's a tiny bounce after an UD for me. Yay!

This is my first DD. So far - no hunger at all, but this is sort of late morning for me and I will be up most of the night.

Yesterday was my first UD and I nearly ate my full calorie allotment. I unexpectedly lost weight over night - 2.8 pds! That is so weird, but I felt a little bloated yesterday so most of that was likely water weight.

I'm planning to eat something made with cabbage later today - which I've grown to really love over the last year and always keep on hand. Also, I have boiled eggs in the fridge and chicken stock I can heat up if hunger strikes suddenly. I've just had lots of water and a Diet Dr. Pepper so far today. I'm excited to be starting this new WOE.

Doing well as of 4pm..had about 200 cals so far. Dinner will be shrimp & broccoli stir fry. I'm making a large stockpot of chicken stock (finally using the 3 rotisserie chicken carcasses that have been collecting in the freezer) and it smells so good! My youngest Maltese really has a good sense of smell and she keeps going into the kitchen and sniffing the air and whining!

After dinner in the evening is always a hard time for me. Wish me luck!

DD for me today. So far so good. Trying to keep busy till dinner. Then I have my shrimp, miracle noodles, green beans in broth. Very good and filling. Should be a good day. But I got to get there. My son called with upsetting info so I did just have a glass of wine. But I will be strong.

Fingers crossed for you to have a good calorie free evening! Come here and read and post. That always helps me.

Sorry you got stressful news. A glass of wine is very helpful at times. I would have done the same thing. Hope all is well.

I'm drinking lemon water right now and finding it very satisfying and good for control of the tummy growls. It really does feel filling to me.

Still rating today a 4+ and pushing ahead to have a very low cal DD.

5+ so far. I got up and did the elliptical at home. Then walked to the gym. Did the treadmill for 55 minutes and the arm circuit. Walked home. Then went Walmart shopping. I just did a bit of work around the apartment and made my bedtime salad. My body is exhausted, but my mind is wanting to go.

How far do you have to walk to the gym? Everything you did today is impressive. You are the poster child for being able to work out on a DD!!!

Agreed, Carly that is uber impressive!!!

I've been productive too. I cleaned out my fridge--just need to pull out bottom drawer and clean in there, did two loads of laundry, cleaned bathrooms, vacuumed and just finished washing down the cabinets in the kitchen. I have a few more cabinets to go, but so pleased to finally have tackled it. Such a dreaded job lol.

My DD is a 5++

WTG Adi!

I'm at 84 calories for the day. 60 for my coffee this morning and then two lemons squeezed into two glasses of ice water. Other than that I had lots and lots of ice water.

It's 7:30 pm and I'm thinking about maybe a bit of yogurt or a hard boiled egg right before I go to bed later. We shall see. I'm going to say a 5 for today, too.

Going well so far--skating by on just a protein shake at 5am. Had plain green tea through lunch, and I'm ready to head home and get another protein shake in me. However, there is a chicken breast in the fridge calling my name...I can hear it. I'm afraid that eating it will make me want to nibble on everything else in sight, so I'm aiming for just the shake. Bowling league later tonight, so I should be able to go straight to bed when I get home! Could end up being a 250 cal day if I stick to it!!

Gosh, people are doing well. Fly by for me as I'm just back from a broadcast ballet from the Royal Opera House that was at my local cinema. The performance was Giselle - and an utterly delightful way to spend a DD evening and night.

So, all in all, today's DD is 5.

Hoping for a good DD today. I detoxed the house. No candy, cookies etc. all gone. My pantry is bare !! I need to get the sugar craving out of my system. I work 1 pm - 9:30 pm today so it should be easy. I will prepack my lunch and dinner and water. I won't have anything else with me!!!!! Hoping for a 5!!

This is only my second DD and so far I feel great. My first DD was a definite 5. Today, I had some light hunger, but I think it's because I did not eat very much yesterday. It was real hunger, not a craving for something specific. It's been a while since I've felt actual hunger. I had some breakfast and feel much better now.

I haven't read the JUDDD book and I wonder, is it okay to eat less than the 500 calories allowed on DDs?

How important is it to eat near your max calories allowed on UPs? Is much less, okay?

I don't do liquid meal replacements, but I'm pretty good at low calorie food prep. I'm remembering things from my weight watcher days - decades ago! I've been attempting (and failing) low carb/keto/paleo-ish weight loss for couple of years now. I have to dig up my old WW recipes for the DDs, lol! I do want to keep carbs fairly low on both DDs and UPs.
